Hey all, not much longer and the real games start. I'm so ready!!!
On a side note... my son had little league baseball tryouts last weekend. He's 13. It just amazes me how much these boys are changing. They are getting so tall and are just so much more confident in their skills. Hitting left a lot to be desired for all of the boys, but it could be because we had a little blast of winter weather that day. Oh... and you should hear all the voices that are changing. Kinda makes you giggle.
Till opening night, an 8pm game Red Sox VS. Yankees at Fenway...
I'm not liking the Sunday night idea at all, I have a feeling its a FOX game and Joe Buck will be calling it... I prefer my cold Monday afternoon opening days, with Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo... Why do they have to ruin everything !
I so agree, don't like Sunday nite, need Jerry and Don
Welcome all new posters... This will be a great thread
I'm the resident nut... Gary runs a close second
Can we talk baseball cards for a minute please... Does anyone collect seriously ?
I have the Red Sox teams collection from 2004 and 2007 WS wins but they were practically giving them away ( I think) ... I have lots of national players from early 90's... I should look at them again...

My son was a big collector back in the late 80's early 90's...he had well over 10,000 cards. He gave most of them away to the kids at church a few years ago. He still has several future HOF'ers in mint condition but since he collected at a time when EVERYONE did...they are not worth much if anything.
We had such a great time going to the card shows...his sister with us collecting her own cards...we all have great memories of nights putting cards in folders and being oh so careful not to touch the "good ones"...
he still has many in boxes never opened....
We spent hours looking at all the DODGER cards....the ones we bought...traded for or received at the stadium....
