Here we go TEAM a new baseball season :carrot:

The winter :shocksn: trades came and went with little excitement...

Cold weather is slowly :snail: moving out in a lot of areas....

:sunny: is returning....

Spring Training is in the air :flow1:

A few :rain: showers linger but bottom line....

BASEBALL IS BACK :woohoo:

The OLYMPICS gave us a great show :congrat:

DANCING WITH THE STARS :dance: has posted their new line-up.....

But some of us are just flat out crack (:club: of the bat) addicts ;)

So here we go :cb:

As usual I will be :cheer3: rooting for my DODGERS and :cheer2: ANGELS....

that's a given ;)

But this year we are adding a little twist...

We will pick our favorite team and a fantasy team....a team you would :love: love to :cheer: root for but you just can't :nono:

I will post the rules in the next post.....

Here are the rules for our FANTASY BASEBALL Contest...

Pick your favorite team....for me it's the DODGERS

Then pick the team you wish you could root for this year but just can't...since we are all loyal to our teams!!

This year mine is the Chicago White Sox....

then give your reason.....I have 3 reasons....I have always loved the White Sox uniforms...one of my favorite Dodgers ever is playing for them this year, Juan Pierre, and one pitcher I always wanted to be a Dodger, Jake Peavy, was traded to them from the padres....

So....I have the DODGERS and the WHITE SOX...

Points will be scored for the combined wins of both teams in the regular season....

You must submit your teams before Opening Day to qualify for the grand prize....

which is....drum roll....

1 FANTASY 3FC :chicken: B(cl)UCK:chicken: for each win...

AND...

A :cp::bravo: good job :bravo::cp: from all us sore :headache: losers.....;)

Of course in reality, I'll be rooting for the Red Sox... :cheer:

Secretly, :sssh: I would love to see the Mets do well this year, I'd like to see them dominate the press coverage and take everyone by surprise.. they've been through so many ups and downs, ... they've waited long enough... its time to out shine the Yanks...

Well obviously my team is the Cardinals.

My fantasy team is the Mariners. I'd love for them to do well this year.

I really like Cliff Lee and Suzuki.

I am so ready for Opening Day.

Now for a fantasy team, I would have taken the Mariners, but I'll leave them to Clyde. So, I'll go with the Phillies.

We just booked a weekend in Kansas City and 2 games against the Royals :)

I know, EZ. I figured it wouldn't be a popular choice. They have had the Rockies number, too, but I love Halliday.

It was so cool yesterday to turn on the radio and have a Rockies game on! Granted, it was at the end of the game and I didn't know a lot of the names, but it was BASEBALL!!!

BIG BIRD good for you....this year I decided to NOT BUY ANY TICKETS...or try too....after the last few years of going on the computer as soon as sales start and not being able to get 4-10 tickets in a decent area for a decent game.....protest! I bet they are much easier to get this year!

Kauffman Stadium is supposed to be a great place to see a game.

After Angie and I watched some dvr'd Men Of A Certain Age this afternoon we caught the end of Bull Durham...her favorite movie....we have the dvd but she always watches it on the tv....knows it by heart....

anyway Susan Sarandon finishes it with...
