This is unreal.

Game started 3.10 this afternoon.

They are now in the 18th inning. No score.

Felipe Lopez is now pitching. He has never pitched before. Kyle Lohse our number 4 starter is in the outfield. Lopez just got 3 outs. I have no idea who is left on the bench.

Bottom of the 18th about to start.

So Mather an outfielder pitches in the 19th gives up one run.

18 pitchers used so far in this game. We have a game tomorrow thank goodness it's at night.

Question Bill or Gary could they bring in a starter to pitch in a game like this?

I am not sure.

Well that answered my question.

Mets brought in a starter in the 20th and win the game.

Glad I wasn't at this game. 7 hours.

20 innings 19 pitchers.

The sad thing is the 2 starters had a great pitching duel and that has all but been forgotten.

Good grief, Clydegirl, 20 innings is some game. Using an outfielder to pitch? This isn't Little League, LOL.

Thank you for the distraction, since it's so unpleasant to acknowledge that the Red Sox lost two in one evening to Tampa Bay.

Ouch. Ouch.

[It's only because Sweetcaroline is, apparently, on the diabled list. You'd think John Henry would just send somebody out to her house with a new computer.]

OUCH BIG BIRD!....hugs

Still down here over the way my DODGERS are playing...hitting is pretty good but the errors and crappy pitching looks like the future is now...

BILL maybe we should start a new category for SWEET-C...the CDL...computer disabled list...sending her good vibes to get her back....

Dear Tony LaRussa,

Would you please stop tinkering so much. That double switch last night pulling Matt Holliday was crazy. Walk Albert and pitch to the bullpen guys, happened twice with the bases loaded.

Lets hope they are rested for tonight's game which is on ESPN, aagghhhh no not again. I like baseball on a Sunday afternoon.

Yadier Molina caught all 20 innings kudos.

Some runs tonight please and a 9 inning game, thank you very much.

Yep, first night not so good for me, good for you. Second night, GREAT for me, not so good for you. Who knows what today will be? Ha!
Thanks for asking about little league. It's all in the pitching... we won 22-4. They had nothing for pitching. Those games are hard to watch. While I love to win, you don't want to see the other team get crushed. (At least in Little League. Another story in the Big League!!!)

The sad part is that I only got to see half of the last inning. Would have been a fun one to watch all the way through. Ubaldo's amazing!!

That was a crazy game. I felt sorry for you! You hate to lose a 20 inning game.

Rough times for the Red Sox. They'll snap out of it, though. I miss Sweet Caroline!!

Well, Shannon, you won the series. What a strange 9th inning. But, no matter what happens, you have to be a professional and handle adversity. Yep, I'm talking to you Morales!!

On to the Nationals. They have the same record as we do, but I know nothing about them. I guess I will soon, though. We have a 4 game series with them.
