Ahhh... the sun is shining and I feel perky and lively again.
I had a good 10.5 mile run last night. I seem to have cured the lack of energy problems with a good old fashioned remedy - porridge. I've always struggled with eating before evening runs - if I don't eat before it's too late when I get in from my run to eat after, if I do eat before I struggle to digest it in time, and if I eat the wrong thing I either completely run out of energy or get awful stomach cramps. Porridge is tried and tested on morning long runs so I thought I'd give it a go as a 5pm snack before running club and it worked wonders!
I did a sneaky little speed session on the treadmill this morning too in an attempt to remind my legs how to run fast before the big 10k on Sunday.
I'm interviewing today so I'm wearing my nice new size 10 suit. The worrying thing is that it's the smallest size that Long Tall Sally do, and it's not even that tight. I remember when I used to (literally) burst out of their biggest size - I have the ripped linings to prove it.
Also, today is my kind of 3 year anniversary. I actually joined the gym on 12 July 2004, but it was the Sport Relief thing on 10 July that gave me the push to do it, it just took me a couple of days to get my credit card up and sign my life away.

I have baggy size 14s from there.
Lucky you!
and I can finally look in the mirror at myself and have the confidence to see that I am pretty. I know things like having a haircut and wearing make up helps but I can see beauty in myself which is something I've not been able to see for a long time. It gives me the push to keep going.
