BerryBB I just joined a DietBet challenge and the day I had to weigh in I was so bloated. The scale really reflected it too. I also kind of feel like a fraud because now my start weight is disproportional to my actual weight loss. I just want to scream, "I'm not cheating, I swear!!!!"

My weight seems to be stabilizing into a downward trend again...hopefully. Last week it was a roller coaster of big drops and regains. I'm really trying to get better about drinking more than one bottle of water a day. Dehydration is really bad for water retention.

Salsa does it to me like nothing other. And it's homemade salsa - not on chips, but on a salad or the like - veggies and protein. It's that weird combo of ingredients (especially if paired with canned black beans) that do it to me - the 1.7 pound weight loss today was kind of proof!

I think I can manage. Things will be tight for us but I sat down with my boys and my soon to be husband and basically explained that I understand time will be short but that I have to focus on exercise and losing this weight and that I have to make time everyday for it even if I don't have time. They are all for it of course, so I'm just hitting it wide open now. I have been really strict with myself as far as calories and getting out to walk. Its working. With that being said, I was down to 229 this morning. FINALLY able to change my ticker since I went on vacation and then had my mini-meltdown afterwards with being laid off. So nice to be back in the swing of things and focused...and I mean really focused this time.

So, you ladies have a wonderful day and I shall check-in with you fine folks tomorrow.
I used to do a lot more responding to the forum - when I wasn't working. It's just so hard now. But I decided to not feel guilty about it. I will do it when I have the time, but otherwise I just need to do what I need to do. BUT... I will not have it keep me from the site as I need it to help me stay accountable - I learn from people, and I hope, people learn from me.

Delphi We meet with a venue on Thursday. It's a high-end bowling and bocce ball alley that caters towards special events. It really fits us since we're not the most traditional couple and it's more playful than serious. We're thinking next summer but we have to see what their availability is before we set a date.
You are at a very exciting stage of life and I'm excited for you! Pretty ring too and I hope you love wearing it for a LONG time.

Always a bummer to see a gain, even when you know it's because of a bum scale, but it's a FRESH start with this scale and hopefully, a more accurate one.

I've been doing so much activity that I think fasting may just add unnecessary stress. I might try one fast a week plus an eating window of 8 hours the rest of the time. We'll see how things go I guess!
You've had a lot of transition these past few weeks, so that you are "there" already is a HUGE success! You are doing great!

I know. I made goal last month, but the "lost" the accomplishment (though it counts as getting it). In the end my 12 pound loss was negated to 7.5, but almost all of that was water weight and I knew it, but having to count it again as my start weight feels wrong. But, with that, I wouldn't have chosen a 10 pound goal for this month (3rd month into the weight loss goal) if I thought I really had to lose 10 pounds this month, as I know I'm beginning to enter the slow down mode... So, two to three pounds of my goal are recognition of needing to shed the water weight too. I'm still half a pound over my weight before vacation! (But I think that one weigh-in was a TOTAL blip as it was 1.5 pounds lower than the day before and the last two weigh-ins were on a different scale, which perhaps, is not as consistent/accurate as the one I usually use.)

My scale decided to jump back up, which is not surprising because I'm quite bloated today!

Jacqui_D ~ Sorry about the bloat. I wish there was a quick fix for that. It seems like even drinking water can contribute to mine. Well, I'm sure it will be gone soon.

berryblondeboys ~ I'm with you on that as well. I know now that I can keep up via my cell and post, so that is a solid option for me. I don't feel bad when I can't get to them. For me, the "more involved" I am here, the better I do. Not sure why.

nonameslob
~ Welcome back and good luck with the new plan.

SeeMyFeet ~ Mmmmmm, love me some eggs. Its my goto breakfast meal. Sometimes just an egg and a piece of cheese on a thin bagel. Just delicious and low calorie. Never thought about cooking in the microwave. Does that do anything to the nutritional value of the egg?

Lovelyleah ~ Thats really cool. For me, since all his family is in CT and that is one BIG family, we are having the wedding in CT and in March so all my wishes of having an outdoor ceremony by the water are probably not going to happen we did book a beautiful venue though.

When we booked it I was adamant that we would just make people "freeze" while we finished the ceremony. But, not sure I can be a poor host like that. Though, you would think folks up there would be used to a little chilly weather in March. Ah, who knows, we may luck up and get a beautiful sunny day. In any case, I digress. The dietbet thing, is that an app? I had downloaded one not to long ago where you put in money in a pool and then its divided amongst winners? Is it something like that?

Sandye ~ Where's my girl? Miss you kiddo.
________________

Well I guess that is all for me ladies. I had another great day. Just finished up another walk at the greenway, 3.77 miles. This is a real change working out at night. In the morning, I feel like I need to eat, eat, eat after I work out but these evening sessions for the past few weeks, I feel like I can't eat once I get home. Either way, I'm burning calories. No loss today but I'm holding onto water I think and TOM is lurking around the corner. I just wish it would start already so I didn't have to sit through my first week of training with TOM making me miserable. Urg. I sure hope you guys had a great day.

I know I should be happy with that but I'm still .2 above my prevacation weight (even if it was an artificial dip down) and that also means no "real" progress for two weeks now! I realize it's glycogen... that part of my weight loss is water weight for getting rid of most carbs from my diet and it take a bit of time to deplete glycogen stores (and I think I have an ability to hold more glycogen than most people), but still!!! I want to be out of the 230s already!!!

Rant over! Terrible night of sleep last night for no real reason (back ache is probably part of it).

Today is a work from home day, so at least I can knock nearly 1.5 hours of commute time off my day.
