Salsa does it to me like nothing other. And it's homemade salsa - not on chips, but on a salad or the like - veggies and protein. It's that weird combo of ingredients (especially if paired with canned black beans) that do it to me - the 1.7 pound weight loss today was kind of proof!

I think I can manage. Things will be tight for us but I sat down with my boys and my soon to be husband and basically explained that I understand time will be short but that I have to focus on exercise and losing this weight and that I have to make time everyday for it even if I don't have time. They are all for it of course, so I'm just hitting it wide open now. I have been really strict with myself as far as calories and getting out to walk. Its working. With that being said, I was down to 229 this morning. FINALLY able to change my ticker since I went on vacation and then had my mini-meltdown afterwards with being laid off. So nice to be back in the swing of things and focused...and I mean really focused this time.
So, you ladies have a wonderful day and I shall check-in with you fine folks tomorrow.
I used to do a lot more responding to the forum - when I wasn't working. It's just so hard now. But I decided to not feel guilty about it. I will do it when I have the time, but otherwise I just need to do what I need to do. BUT... I will not have it keep me from the site as I need it to help me stay accountable - I learn from people, and I hope, people learn from me.

Delphi We meet with a venue on Thursday. It's a high-end bowling and bocce ball alley that caters towards special events. It really fits us since we're not the most traditional couple and it's more playful than serious. We're thinking next summer but we have to see what their availability is before we set a date.
You are at a very exciting stage of life and I'm excited for you! Pretty ring too and I hope you love wearing it for a LONG time.

Always a bummer to see a gain, even when you know it's because of a bum scale, but it's a FRESH start with this scale and hopefully, a more accurate one.

I've been doing so much activity that I think fasting may just add unnecessary stress. I might try one fast a week plus an eating window of 8 hours the rest of the time. We'll see how things go I guess!
You've had a lot of transition these past few weeks, so that you are "there" already is a HUGE success! You are doing great!

I know. I made goal last month, but the "lost" the accomplishment (though it counts as getting it). In the end my 12 pound loss was negated to 7.5, but almost all of that was water weight and I knew it, but having to count it again as my start weight feels wrong. But, with that, I wouldn't have chosen a 10 pound goal for this month (3rd month into the weight loss goal) if I thought I really had to lose 10 pounds this month, as I know I'm beginning to enter the slow down mode... So, two to three pounds of my goal are recognition of needing to shed the water weight too. I'm still half a pound over my weight before vacation! (But I think that one weigh-in was a TOTAL blip as it was 1.5 pounds lower than the day before and the last two weigh-ins were on a different scale, which perhaps, is not as consistent/accurate as the one I usually use.)
