Today I went out for my birthday dinner with friends and I know had a bunch of extra calories so I am a little scared of what the scale will say tomorrow. However, I kept it reasonable and ate maybe 1/4 of what I would have had if I wasn't watching my weight. I had 4 "dips" of cheese fondue, a steak, maybe 1/3 cup mashed potatoes, veggies, and 8 "dips" of chocolate fondue.

I prepared for it by having a very light beginning of the day, so I'm hoping I come out even but am not confident. I am trying not to feel guilty, this was my first real treat since I started losing weight on Christmas Day.

First off - Happy Birthday!!!

A poster on another thread recently said something really smart to me. She said (and I'm paraphrasing) that when you have a lot of weight to lose, your body is somewhat forgiving, and you still lose weight even if you go over your calorie count for a day, as long as you don't feel so guilty that you fall face first into a casserole of mac & cheese. She had lost over 100 pounds, so she knows her stuff!

I think it is great that you ate consciously, and that your exercise and calorie counting the rest of the week will make up for any slight bump in the scale! You're doing great, so don't beat yourself up for an enjoyable evening!

Happy Birthday Underwater Don't feel bad, yesterday I totally fell off track because of Superbowl. It's just one day and a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things. I don't think total deprivation is very good in the long run, it's ok to treat yourself every once in a while....as long as you know(which you do) to get right back on track. And @ the "falling face first into a casserole of Mac & Cheese" quote if I were to fall face first into something I would want it to be that or maybe Ryan Reynolds, hahahahaha.

I woke up to 244.5 this morning. I hope to not be here for too long. I'm back on track after being off for a while. It feels great to be back.

OMG the birthday challenges continue... tomorrow is my actual b-day by the way and the coworkers are taking me out to my favorite place for lunch- a Bennihanna's type of restaurant!

It's good because its not crazy fried junk food. It does, however, come with delicious fried rice that I will be PASSING on! I feel like I need to write it here because that will make me more likely to keep that promise to myself. Tomorrow night I will come back and tell you how good I was

I am going to have miso soup, salad, shrimp, and veggies. Pair that with a light breakfast and dinner, and I'm hoping to make it through the day without a gain. Comparing it to the Bennihanna menu that has calories, it would be able 800 calories for the meal with steamed rice. I'm hoping I can cut 100 calories out of that if I skip the rice.

Yesterday I was up .2 lbs from the fondue last night and I feel like it could have been much worse!

No more special meals after this one for 2 weeks :P

Guys I feel so sick! I ate way too much at lunch!

I skipped the fried rice but ate the whole bowl of steamed rice, all the shrimp and veggies, and a couple of bites of cheesecake. I really just want to go straight to bed after work and not wake up until the morning.

I'm not sure what is worse- the guilt or the stomach ache

I feel like my goal of 239.9 by April 1 is a pipe dream

Underwater you can do this. You can still make it. You have close to two months to make it. Get on the ball. Don't beat yourself up, learn from it and move on. We all have got to get out of this decade.

In personal news. I am 241.8. I am so freaking close.

Hey everyone! Today was weigh in day, I am 242.8 lbs. I am getting pretty close I decided to up my calorie intake a little because I was starting to have issues completely staying within the allowed amount and it was causing me some stress.

OMG... my office is feeding us lunch today and brought in Italian food with cannolis! I am AVOIDING them and it is SO HARD.

I had a big salad and a little bit of pasta and a small piece of bread.

Just had to post to try to keep myself away from the cannolis a little while longer... hopefully they are all gone soon- and NOT all gone to my belly

Hi ladies. Haven't left you yet. Still in the 240s, hard weekend. I accept it. The good thing or bad things depending on thinking is I know I have combat it. I think it my be water weight because I am already seeing the scale go back down. How is everyone else?

I am sick, so I don't trust that my weigh in today will stick. 238.6. I think I will see a bounce as a get better and rehydrate so I'm saying in this thread until I have been feeling better for a few days
