Ugh, I just went back to look at earlier posts in this thread and I found out that I started this thread on May 4th! May 4th! Time really flies by. I've only lost 2 pounds since then, technically.
If time's going to fly by, I might as well use it to my advantage. I want to see what a full month of commitment looks like. I want to make it my misison to be out of the 210's by the 14th. Do you guys think that's do-able? 7 pounds in two week?
Woohoo! Goodbye 220s, goodbye 219! Hello 218.6! Hi gals, looks like I'm official now,
I'm stealing 218 from you Scatter, but I'll be wanting 217 soon so keep on fighting!
I'd say that 7 pounds wouldn't be doable for me (only managed 5 lbs in the last 5 weeks) but you know your body better than me, with that one pound lost you are off to a good start!

My advice? Get rid of 218 asap. 217 is much better. And 215.8 this morning?! Soooo nice
You're right that it's probably not realistic, I'm just getting a little over zealous. I want to shock my system! It's 6:30 AM and I'm up for a workout. My body has no clue what's going on. haha
Welcome again, I'm glad you're here -- now let's get the heck out!
Oh, I hear you Zan, and thanks for the support! I renewed my gym membership three weeks ago and I vowed to go at least three times a week. I only went that first day. I think I'm going to cancel it and focus on finding workouts that are realistic for me. I hate the gym so much that I can't let it be my only option. I always plan to go to the gym, don't, and then don't work out at all because of it. Maybe I'll feel differently once I lose some significant weight, who knows.
Annnyway, I just did a workout dvd this morning. The 30 day shred? I don't like/watch the biggest loser, but it's interval training with weights, which is awesome. It's pretty tough. I mute the tv and turn my stereo UP!
I don't know if you're into downloading, but I find you can find a lot of workout dvds online
Yeah, my problem is that I buy it but never play the DVD. I've got a pair of roommates, and even though one of them works out with his weight bench in the garage (and that it is obvious that I am dieting by the WW food in the freezer/fridge), I can't get myself to pop in the DVD and try it out! Haha!
Silly guy works out and drinks protein milkshakes, but he also drinks a lot of beer and eats a bunch of ramen, tuna fish salad, frozen burritos, canned pasta things, and processed meat products. At least he munches on some apples now and then, but yeah, I find his habits a bit odd.
And come to think of it, I've never seen my other roommate eat or have food stored in the fridge other than two frozen pizzas. O.o...
We'd be an odd bunch to follow around, that is for sure!
Welcome to the club, zan! You and your roommates sound like my brothers and I. My brothers work out (and eat crap) in front of me all the time, but I can't muster up enough confidence to work out with my Wii in front of them.
I'm so happy to see you're movin' on down, Scatter! Good job! I have no doubts that you'll make it out of the 210's before the month is up. I'm the same way when it comes to the gym, but I'm even worse with workout DVDs. I'll do the DVDs maybe thrice before getting bored and/or putting them off "until later." Once I make it to the gym 3-5 times it becomes less difficult to motivate myself to go, maybe it might be the same for you? The trick is forcing myself to go the first 3-5 times.
Anyhow, I'm still at 211. "Aunt Flow" is here, so hopefully once she leaves she'll take some weight with her.
