  • Hey whats up??? Hopefully getting better for me. Well I did some research on my knee and Elbow What is wrong with my elbow is Cubital tunnel Syndrome it is from bending my elbow for long periods of time . the only thing I can think of is I bend my elbow when I go to sleep and Put my hand under my pillow . HHHHMMMM . Well for my Knee thats another story Tendonitis ??? I kinda watched what I ste today but I want to give my body some time to heal. My Half of hand is still Numb. If I go back to the doc on monday and my hand is still numb they are sending me to a neurologist. From what I read the only other course is to wear a arm splint to bed at night. If that dont work they have to go in and remove my Nerve that is causing the problem. Other then that I am doing great.. Check back in tomorrow.
  • Way to go Danni!! I'm happy for you! You are doing great!! Seriously, Bravo girl! So, you are 5'5 and are 179 and dropping and you are in a 14. Can we call you SKINNY yet?!! That's so funny because me being 5 feet tall a size 14 would still be considered chucky for me. A 9/10 is a athlete look for me. Meaning I could stand to lose a little more weight but I don't look bad. An 8 is where I need to be to look good. I bet that would make you look like a skeleton!

    Bonnie I've known 3 people who have had surgery for corporal tunnel on there hand by different surgeons. All three regretted the surgery. I don't know if what you are talking about is close to the same thing but Before any surgery you should get several opinions by doctors. Then find out if the surgeon doing it has had many success rates after the surgery. I mean if they all agree you should have the surgery then you should at least make sure the person doing it has a success rate with it.

    How is everyone else doing? Well I'm going to go exercise so I'll write later.

  • Kiwi I dont have corpal tunnel I have cubital Tunnel . It is where the nerve from my elbow to my small finger and ring finger is inflammed. I will be checking into it thought.

    I went on Dotties web site and I thought it was good I even downloaded the weight Manger. You can have it for a trial for 5 days or pay 9.95 and keep it foever. I like it cause I dont have to be on line to use it. Everyone should check it out..

    What's going on how is everyone? just got beck from dr today weight 171 will try my best to loose 10lbs at least this month...I have bee working out the gym is aw-some I am gonna try YOGA and kickboxing.... I love the elliptical machine it's aw-some I hope every one is doing good been working around house washing ext. My son had the whole wrest,ling team over this weekend they had a ball went in pool and lake....They all call me the team mom!!! I'm happy they all like me..soon will be last match SO sad the season IS OVER NOW BASEBALL BEGINS and here comes baseball mom!!!! weeeee!!!

    I have not had time to post since the weekend and I see everyone is doing good I did weigh in monday and have lost another 2lbs I am now at 164YEAH!!!!! I knew once I got past that 170 I was stuck on gor so long that my weight would start to drop I still need to lose abort another 30lb
    I go to exercise class this morning LETS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !

    Bonnie sorry to hear about the health woes, that does not help when one is trying to shed some pounds. Try not to let it discourage you, you are making a "healthier you" and to do that you need to take care of medical issues and drop some weight. You can do it just stay focused on the goal...a new improved, healthier, slimmer Bonnie!

    Kiwi, I am so glad you share my joy in my weight loss You are just too kind to me Skinny? not yet, well to everyone who knows me, yes they say I am so skinny now for those who just see me on the street and I am in my size 14's and do not know that I dropped almost 40lbs already would say...she needs to shed a few pounds... I have been in the plus sizes for about 14 years now so to be in a misses 12/14 is an awesome feeling for me, I never thought I would get here, I figured maybe an 18 plus would be an improvement so to me I feel skinny!!!

    Ivy... that is so great you are the "MOM"...I always said when I had kids I wanted to be the "koolaid" mom and have all the kids at my house... Becareful for what you wish for...cuz I am the KOOLAID MOM and all the 13 year olds are at my house But I love it too, I love being that mom too...along with soccer mom, basketball mom, pool mom...LOL

    Suz, yeah we are all hanging in there...wow...you go girl glad you are over your hump... soon I will be knocking on your door Glad your plateau is a thing of the past, good for you for sticking with it, plateaus can really get discouraging, but you stuck in there you rock!

    I started my Nursing class yesterday...I am the fattest one in there not too good for the ole self esteem everyone else is a size 0, I mean I always wondered who the **** wore that size and now I am in an entire class with them either I am gonna have to join them, (yea right me a size 0).. or they are gonna have to just fatten up a little I am gonna bring them all ...CARBS.....

  • Good Morning,

    Hosted a Pampered Chef party last night. She baked a 5.5 pound chicken in 35 min. from the Microwave. She didn't put nothing in it but seasoning and it baked in its own juices in stoneware. It came out brown and sooo moist.Very Good and the party went great! I earned a lot of stuff free! So naturally I got that stoneware as one of my free items. Anything I can cook in a microwave that good I like to have.

    Congratulations Suz! Its so cool to see you dropping! I can't wait to get there!

    Congratulations Ivy, your weight is peeling off. You don't have much longer to reach goal! You go girl!

    Congratulations Danni, You are only 29 pounds away from reaching your goal!! How awesome is that?!!
    I love all these sayings you have but my favorite has got to be this one! I will use it for everything!

  • Here's a diet I found (don't try this!)
    BREAKFAST:

    * 1/2 grapefruit
    * 1 slice whole wheat toast
    * 8 oz skim milk

    LUNCH:

    * 4 oz lean Broiled chicken breast
    * 1 cup steamed zucchini
    * 1 Oreo Cookie
    * Herb tea

    MID-AFTERNOON SNACK:

    * Rest of package of Oreos
    * 1 qt. rocky road ice cream
    * 1 jar hot fudge

    DINNER:

    * 2 loaves garlic bread
    * Large pepperoni & mushroom pizza Large pitcher caffienated soda (any brand)
    * 3 Milky Way bars
    * Entire Sara Lee cheesecake - direct from freezer.

    DIET TIPS

    1. If no one sees you eat it --- it has no calories.
    2. If you drink a diet soda with a candy bar they cancel each other out.
    3. When eating with someone else, calories don't count if you both eat the same amount.
    4. Food used for medicinal purposes NEVER counts such as: Hot Chocolate, Brandy, Toast and Sarah Lee cheesecake.
    5. If YOU fatten up EVERYONE ELSE around you--then YOU look thinner.
    6. Movie related foods don't count because they are simply part of the entire entertainment experience and not part of one's personal fuel, such as Milk Duds, popcorn with extra butter, and Junior Mints.

    I had a great day today went to exercise class this morning great workout Our regular instructor for our friday class (step class) is out hurt right now so our other instructor who has never taught a step class is going to try to do one friday she said if we want a good laugh come to class friday I am looking forward to class on friday it should be good

    My DH was gone all day so I had a "ME DAY" I got to do what ever I wanted so I had anice relaxing bath and pampered myself it was great

  • Okay I sabotaged myself yesterday. I allowed my daughter in law to bring a cake into my house yesterday believing I would be fine. I ate good bk., then lunch, but that choc. muffin plus looking at that cake put me in the mood for cake all day. I hardly had any water just diet cokes. I craved sweets all day and I finally broke down and ate a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing!! Just a small sliver of a size but then I did it again and then right before bed!! I drank a whole bottle of water before going to bed but this morning I was up 1 pound.
    I threw the cake in the garbage. I will be drinking water all day today and back to exercise. (which I'm still not addicted to, I think someone lied to me about the more I exercise the more I'll love it! )

  • Aw Kiwi...you had to mention THAT kind of cake, didn't ya? That's pretty much my favorite!

    Things here are picking up. My roommate just pushed too far last night which was good cause I was so pissed I went and powerwalked around campus for about an hour. Things don't seem to be getting any better, so maybe I'll do it again soon. ugh...

    I'm so disgusted with myself I've decided not to count pounds lost yet, not till I get back to where I was. That may sound defeatist, but it's not. I think that when I know I'm losing weight I start to feel like I can do things and it won't matter. But then I do too many things and it all turns to crap. So, right now I'm just gonna focus on getting everything back under control (in EVERY aspect of my life) and then I'll worry about the pounds again.

    Hopefully I'll be back to post later today (I'm gonna work on that too )

  • HELLO FRIENDS I am ready to get back on track. I have been in the trenchs too long. My daughter gave me a book to read and I just want to say if you are having anxiety or fears caused by old wounds and you need to refocus then get this book--Charles Stanley's THE SOURCE OF MY STRENGTH. I have heard him say some of the same things that he says in this book but I really did need to read it and apply it to my life. I am thankful that God is always faithful even when we are not.
    I am re-commiting to make me the best I can be. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Phil. 4:13.
    I am going to KICK MY OWN BUTT IF I DON'T .

    I know that GOD IS THE source of my strength.

No seriously, we all have been there we know exactly how it happens and how ya feel after, well o.k. the red velvet cake is now flowing down the Swannie river by now well maybe already in the Gulf... just a minor set back if you do good for the rest of the week you should still see results at the scales : kwim?

    Suz, Missindy, Ivy, Scale, Bonnie hope you are all moving, drinking your water, and eating all those "healthy" things that our bodies need to burn FAT.

    I have been having a good week so far, exercise - check eating right - check water - check hoping to get through the weekend with no major cheats IYKWIM??

  • DARN IT!!!

    Totally crapped everything up today. I was doing totally well, but then I got great news about a scholarship and internship and I got to leave work early, and everything was just high and my roomie wanted mcds and ice cream and I went along, and now it's 11 and I feel like total crap.

    ugh!!! I'm definitely getting up and going for a walk in the morning.
    And then there's all my homework. Plus an editorial to write. Grrr on life right now.

    Well Kiwi the step class went really well you would not know that she had never done a step class before It was not as long as the other instructor does but was fast paced We all worked up a good sweat then we did our weight and mat workout
    Well i better go keep moving and losing suz
