Good Afternoon Everyone,

Well it has been another pretty good week. I haven’t been 100% on plan but probably a good 90% so I’m not too unhappy with myself. My exercise has been good too, managed to get out and walk 2 days and strength train 2 days. Today during lunch I took a core body training class that really kicked my butt, I had sweat just dripping down my face, well we all did, it seems like we all were giving it 110%, probably because a meeting on Wednesday bumped us out of our room so we missed a day of exercise. Everyone seemed to be trying to make up for it. I know it took me almost an hour afterwards before I felt like I wasn’t quivering from exertion. I’m really pleased with the strength I’ve developed, I am really hoping I can get to the point of doing a full, on the toes, push up.

It’s a LOVELY day in AZ today. We actually went to sleep last night to the drizzle of rain. That is so rare that you just savor hearing it and today has been fresh and cool, a gorgeous day.

If I don’t have a chance to check in this weekend I hope you all have a great one.

And Nellie, I just love your new picture. Everytime I see it I just want to smile, you are doing so well.

TTFN

I bought a dumbell set today! I'm pretty excited. Today was upper body and I can feel this one. I'm still at weinie little weights but they are more and sure feel good. Not as good as legs but good.

ps ... you should have seen the carry out guy struggling to put 100 lbs in my trunk. He needs a set of his own.

Hey everyone - happy weekend! I'm finishing my second week of SBD Phase 1 today, and I think I'm going to go another week, now that I have the hang of this. I'm still not working out much, so I will take advantage of the calorie deficit now while I can. My total loss for the 2 weeks is 9#, which I'm pretty happy with, since they were 9# that should not have been there to begin with! I'm hoping another week of this will get me back to where I was in May and that I can start making some real progress from there. I can't wait until Halloween and DSL kicks in - then I'll be able to pry myself out of bed to workout in the mornings!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend - it was lovely and sunny here today - hopefully the same for tomorrow.

Hey, does anyone know how to get ahold of Dip directly? I've PM'd her, but got no response. I need to find out some info about the Indy area, and she's my best hope. If you have her email addy and could PM it to me, that would be great. I had it when I did her avatar photos, but can't find it.

I went to the gym today and did legs. My butt is already sore, I don't know what it is going to be like tomorrow. I had some male jealousy at the gym though. This guy, who is quite buff, that talks to me once in a while and came up to me while I was on the 45 degree leg press (I was doing 630 lbs) and came up and said "wow that is a lot of weight, I can't even do that, that is good, makes me mad but that is good" I thought it was quite amusing.

Thursday I did chest, yesterday I did shoulders and today legs. Well these workouts, I considered light because I wasn't really pushing myself since I still feel kind of sick. Something amazing though is that I am really sore from the chest and shoulder workout! I guess a week off is a good thing once in a while, although it wasn't a week off by choice.

Nelie- Good job If you don't like the muscle soreness, l-glutamine really does help with it. There's a thread down a bit further about the supplement. You can buy a BIG tub of the powder for about $40 which should last you about a year! I gagged mixing it in water, and just down the powder from the scoop, then chase it with water. The dosage that seems to work is around 10g per day in 2 five g doses. I think your new pic looks GREAT!

Cindy- You might try PM'ing Robin aka Airegrrrl. I think she travels to Indy quite a bit. Congrats on your South Beach sucess! I lost a whopping 3 pounds in the first 2 weeks Not quite as advertised, and I didn't cheat a bit. I was eating pretty low carb to start with tho, which I'm sure had a lot to do with it. Hope you didn't get the headaches some people seems to get.

I did a real light leg workout today. I'm still babying my knee and am keeping it wrapped. I think the swelling has stopped, but I didn't want to test it by trying to set any records. Instead I did a real high volume, fast paced workout, with lots of weighted balance work. I was dripping with sweat just from doing 1 legged deadlifts using a 10 pound weight on a wobble board.

Hello to everyone else- gotta give up the computer to ds

Mel, I like soreness, it makes me feel like I am really working it. I realized right now that I've dropped 14 lbs so far in October, wow. It is kind of amazing it itself, but also I've eaten out more this month than in previous months including some no no's.

Today I made Cauliflower "potato salad" http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...085#post700085 Quite yummy! I have to say Cauliflower competes with Broccoli as one of my favorite veggies.

Hey everyone!

Nelie, your picture is beaudiful! You're doing so well.

It is very hot here! I am annoyed, because I have a little strain in my right leg that was getting worse and I've had to hold off exercising for the last few days, and missed a legs session! Waaah! Didn't want it to get worse, though, and all the walking I'd been doing had been making it worse (I've been walking at least six hours every week!)

Hope you are all having a grea day!

Happy Sunday morning, everyone!

Not the sunny day here that they promised, so it's hard to get myself motivated to get out and get stuff done!

My final SBD loss for the two weeks is 9.5#. And, I measured today and found I lost an inch off each of waist/abdomen and hip measurements - yippee! I am definitely going to do another week of this and see what more I can accomplish.

Mel - I am having headaches - funny you should mention it. Do you know why? I was assuming it was because of the artificial sweetener I've been consuming - typically I don't use it much. Just kind of a dull ache all day long...

Nelie - you're on fire with that weight loss - good for you! Thanks for the "potato" salad recipe, I think I'll try it as well.

Hey Ilene - thanks for the PM. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Have a good one everyone!

Hey gang

I've had a great day! Jogged to the gym a total of 5k, did back once I was there... on the way back the sun was shinning... I ate 90% good, so I'm happy with that...

Congrats Cindy on that phenominal weightloss!

Hope everyone else had a great weekend...TTFN!!
