Default In a rush...

Farewell on purpose, all you sweet bovine beauties (who prove that there are some happy cows who do NOT live in California )

I'm off to visit DD and DS. DH has to stay and work.... but I hope to sketch and paint at the height of the foliage season (we don't have much color changing in Texas.... there either ARE leaves or there are leaves ON THE GROUND)

Sorry I've been gone. You all are important to me. See you later.

Thank you, Wabby. Even though Painty says she loves you, you're proving it.

I slept all morning. It's noon now. Will I be caught up on sleep or have I met a tsetse fly?

I've decided to write fiction instead of memoir. Am working on a Lush/Herbie romance.

Make it so that they're always getting spinach pie caught between their front teeth, ok?

Bye, Painty! Hope you have a wonderful time. Sketch your little heart out and post your masterpieces here when you get back.

Wabby, dinner train or no dinner train? Your 26th anniversary only rolls around once, right? Go for it and tell us how it was so we can be envious.

Herbie first saw Lush when he stopped for a cup of coffee at the Pancake Palace. She was sitting alone eating a veggie burger and drinking a cup of Darjeeling. Herbie didn't know if it was the caffeine in the coffee or the delectable woman with the spinach in her teeth, but his heart was flip-flopping.

Lush saw Herbie wave away the waitress who came by to refill his cup and she ate her last bite. Timing is everything.

They left the restaurant within minutes of each other. He paused with his car door open to watch her just to see if she looked back.

She did. She wondered where he got spinach between his teeth. Then she gave a little wiggle and got into the car.

Would they meet again? How could fate be so cruel as to keep them apart?

That's New York Times bestseller list material FOR SURE. Can't wait for the next installment. Fiction is so much more exciting than real life, don't you think?

Oh you guys are killing me!!

Love it. I want more! And be sure to let Bagz add in the punch lines. LOL

Our power went out during the night and didn't come back on until dinner time (just in time for us not to go out dinner, natch)

I figured I wasn't going to do anything all day with the power out, so I went back to bed and stayed there.

Bye Painty, have a nice trip!

Sugar, are you almost packed? Will you need a hard hat in Halifax for falling hurricane debris?

Talking Almost packed?? That's a good one!

Haven't even started packing, but threw everything I think I want to take on the bed to get a rough estimate of which suitcase I'll need. Dh thinks 10 pairs of undies are too many. What does he know? Be prepared, I always say.

Oh yeah, and guess what I got today? I'll really enjoy dealing with cramps at 50, 000 feet. Thank you Mother Nature!!!

Don't know how the rubble situation is in Halifax. I'm bringing everything from t-shirts to a scarf and gloves so I am READY for whatever comes my way. Except for the two-year-old nephew, maybe.

Thumbs down Ta ta, darlings!

Kids are staying over night at Oma's, dh is making me dinner and then I gotta try to sleep a bit before I have to get up at 3 a.m., shower and get going. Can you say cranky? I'll send postcards which will probably arrive long after I get back but what the heck. Behave yourselves while I'm gone, won't you?
