Woohoo...goodbye 230's...hello 220's!! My cane and I took an extra long walk yesterday. Not sure if that was the cause of my downward movement...but, just in case, another extra long walk will be taken today! Good luck Joy and Wendy!
The last few days have been very busy. The scales went up a bit and then back down. I doubt I'll make my bonus goal, but I'm in the 220's which is fine for now. Good luck ladies!
I met my goal to weight 20x in September! Just looking at the numbers, it doesn't look that great. But I seem to be stabilizing at a lower weight than I was averaging in the summer, so I'm pretty happy with that.
Moving in the right direction. Joy: I'm glad you're happy where you are. I admire your persistence, given that you're effectively in maintenance...yet you continue to post almost daily on this site, and have done so for many years now. I hope I can be similarly persistent when I reach or approach goal weight! That is, I hope I don't let my guard down and put it all back again (assuming I get there in the first place!)
Muffs: Yeah. I did exactly that -- let my guard down and gained back 50 pounds when I reached my goal. I lost 30 of that and I'm at a weight that I can maintain without quite so much fuss. I know how to gain weight and lose weight, but I don't know how to maintain. So, my current strategy is to pretend that I'm still trying to lose -- and just not get overly upset when I fail, most months. I got a nice, unexpected drop today to keep me going!
Muffs & Joy - sorry if it seemed I disappeared. [This site does not easily load on my phone for some reason.] Anyway, I have been weighing daily. Didn’t get to my projected goal, but I did hit a new low this morning (in a good way). I’ve been trying to get to 185 for months. I finally got there… now let’s hope I can get lower in October.
Looks like we all did ok in September.
Here’s to more progress in October
I made goal for Sep, but not my bonus goal...still, I am very happy with where I am. Wendy: Glad you are also happy. Also, this site is incredibly slow on an iPhone. It's slow, but not as slow, on a computer/laptop. The owner of this site should fix that, since I suspect it's one of the key reasons why very few people use this site these days. When I was on the site about five years ago, it was much faster, and we had at least 10 times as many users, likely more. Oh well...Now off to join the October thread!
