I've also made a somewhat surprising decision regarding IP. For many reasons, I've decided to take a bit of a break from the program. I'm in no way DONE with it, and plan to be back at it July 1st but for the rest of June, I'm going to phase off and relax a bit. I don't plan to go crazy, I just really want to see what "real life" is like and if I can truly at this point put into play what I've learned since Feb. I'm also considering re-evaluating my final goal as I'm shockingly pretty comfortable with where I am right now with the 46. lb loss to date. For the first time in YEARS, I don't totally HATE what I see in the mirror and for me, that is the biggest NSV so far. Like I said, I'm not done, just taking a bit of a break. I feel like it's what I need right now and my amazing coach is more than supportive of the decision.

Glad to hear you're going to stick around. We started about the same time and I was sure we'd be in the same area of weight, etc. about now but with the month I had to step away between the spur of the moment trip to FL for my dad and then the trip to Haiti, it was just too close a time to try and go in and out of ketosis. My coach agreed with me so I restarted again a little over a week ago and I've already lost 1/2 of what I gained during that time.

Hope you have a wonderful summer at work and sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy! Don't forget us here and I'm sure I'll still be around when you decide to come back.

Hugs,

Mary

I read yesterday's posts..and I noticed that some of you were talking about a A particular person..and that triggered my curiosity so I will be searching for those threads LOL
I am also VERY happy to hear that some of you are feeling better…it was a weird week for our bodies I think!
Tomorrow is my 2nd weigh in and I am a bit nervous. I have been fluctuating all week and I have stayed OP! I hope I at least lose 1-2 lbs so I can stay in the draw to win a trip (yupppp because at my centre where I get my products and do my weekly WI you can have 2 coupons a month until august to enter to win a trip for 2 somewhere in the SOUTH! You have to stay on plan, lose weight, go every week for your wi and so on and we have this passport booklet that she stamps and it gives you 100 points a week (500 if you refer someone) and when you reach a certain amount of points you can trade them for a gift! Anyway it is pretty neat and it keeps you focused! so ya I WANT THAT TRIP so I NEEEED to lose at least 1 lbs!)

Onto some more fun stuff the RIHANNA concert!!!!SHEESH MAURICE was she ever AWESOME and HOT! Ouff!! She’s got some serious sex appeal going on! B.O.B opened up for her which was a surprise because we were expecting CEE-LO !

Anyway I did feel a weird moment though at one point..I had my sister in law on one side and a friend on the other and both are tiny..and there I was in the middle with my fat legs and a bigger body and they were rocking some hot outfits while I was in my jeans and a cute top but didn’t feel as good when I noticed the difference between our leg size..but at the same time that made it even more clear that I needed to continue and loooose it ALL.
I want to have fun in my 20’s and not regret not wearing cute things and feeling left out because I am fat. NOHUH Okay enough caps lock for today I think :P

So here goes another awesome IP day and I wish that everyone of you take the time and look at yourself and congratulate yourself for all the hardwork you are putting into this it is SO worth it

Wow you keep going and you will rock a hot little number too.. You can do it we all can do it..

Awww... I think those would be hard to find around here. I've only ever seen the chocolate deluxe and the chocolate peanut butter Pure Protein bars.

Day 3 of the program and I'm starting to feel normal again.

Anyway I look forward to getting to know everyone, this forum was a great support to me the first time around and hope it will be again!
Wow! Jordanna! You may have left but your posts have stayed and I for one, have benefitted greatly! You are kind of like a legend around here. Welcome back and good luck as you continue towards your goal. Congratulations on your baby girl! Is Charlie her name or a nickname (yeah, I'm a "name geek" and just have to ask!)? Either way, it's cute!

I think so... I hope the experts on here agree because I've recently developped a late afternoon coffee habit (in place of a late afternoon snack)!

I need some encouragement - does the hunger/weak feeling go away? I find in the afternoons that I am so unproductive at work, I can't focus. And in case you're wondering yes I'm eating my salad and 2 cups of veg. I definitely felt better with the 4rth pack but somehow feel bad about it.

Hang in there! You are almost over the tough part and it will get better real soon!

Leaving baby for the first time is torture! You are great to be staying on your diet during this difficult time... if you can do this, you can do anything. Good luck with the new job and I am sure your baby will be just fine!

Default Ugh!!

Ugh!! Just got a message from one of my past friends that I haven't seen in about 20 years. She was my bestie in highschool. Anyway, she is coming to the area next week and wants to get together. I do want to see her and catch up but the last time I did see her, she was the one who was pudgy and I was 95 pounds. I am so embarrassed of how I look and just am thinking about making an excuse to get out of meeting up with her. Now is the time that I wished I started IP months ago...

Food fiasco. There is a place that lets you order online. I ordered grilled chicken with asparagus and linguine, and I wrote in the comments section "I would like to substitute green beans for the linguine..." since they have green beans as a vegetable that comes with another dish... I have worked all day, train back to DC, drove home, food arrived, driver left. No asparagus. No green beans. Chicken, and double linguine... I called and complained. They will give me double veggies next time. Like there will be a freakin' next time. Ugh... I ate my salad. I am annoyed... I am exhausted.

Welcome back! I've read many of your posts from the past. Congrats on your little bundle of joy... Don't feel bad about breast feeding. I struggled through 7 weeks before my pediatrician told me to just give up. My dad has a friend who does immunology and she said that the first 4-6 weeks are the most crucial, and even if they get a few drops of breast milk in them it's like little drops of gold...

Oh No! You don't want to miss out on a great opportunity like seeing her after 20 years. You are NOT your number on a scale. If you are best friends and it lasted all of these years to the point she wants to come see you, then my guess is that it wasn't your weight that kept you friends. Enjoy catching up and visiting. Who knows if she sees how committed and good you are doing she may be a wonderful support for you. Just be the lovely person you seem to be and all will be fine.

I agree. We all have ups and downs and our friend love us even when we have Pms. You can keep in touch and let her know about your continuing ip success. Many of my friends have joined me!

My coach told me that for every extra cup of coffee you drink, you have to drink an additional 16oz. of water. I already feel bloated after the 64oz we already drink! I have chosen to just stop drinking coffee.

I get the chicken caeser salad at McDonalds, pick out the carrots, tommy toes and cheese, let the kids eat my croutons, and add my own dressing. I have also in a pinch gone to Burger king, and gotten their side salad and a hamburger with mustard, onion and pickles, and tore up the burger and used mustard for salad dressing. Their burgers are not very big, but they are NOT lean ground beef, so its not something I would do very often. Subway is always good, and I will just have them put salt and pepper and just a little oil on it, and I eat it without salad dressing. Any of these I try not to do very often.

It gets better! I felt weak and had trouble concentrating, but it got better and after the first couple weeks it was so much easier! Don't feel bad about the fourth packet. A fourth packet is better than giving in to something worse because you feel so hungry. Just do it for this first week or so, when you feel you need it, and then try to take it out when you feel stronger.

Hello Everyone,
Today is my 12 day on the IP program and my first post on this site. I have lost 8 lbs so far...it's so nice to have hope.

I'm so glad I found this community. I just spent hours and hours reading thru the "tips for newbies" string and omg there's a lot of great stuff in there.

It's been a good couple of days. I'm less hungry and grouchy today. My hubby is thankful for that! But at night I have been dreaming about food. Anyone else doing this? I'm sure it's common but grilled cheese sandwiches and cheese-n-crackers are the usual contents of my dreams.

I started IP on Tuesday and feel like I have been doing pretty well. The only thing I have done wrong is eaten more meat than recommended... not by a lot but just bits and pieces here and there. Is that going to be a big deterrence for my weight loss? I hope not!

I've been eating the omelets, cappuccino drinks, and the white chocolate cinnamon bars. The omelets were good the first time but now i can hardly choke them down. I LOVE the bars! Definitely something I will keep buying. I am not a huge fan of the cappuccino drink but I tried the chocolate drink and love it way more. It tastes like cake batter I think I am going to buy vanilla pudding and the oatmeal next time I go in then get the WF maple syrup and caramel for them.

What are your opinions about the oatmeal? I haven't heard a whole lot about it but I feel like it would be a good meal with a little more substance rather than just a drink.

Also, I'm nervous I won't lose as much weight as everybody says I will! Can I be working out yet?
