Stephanie—what a doll Reggie is, what breed(s) is he? He almost looks like he might have some pug or French bull in him.
Sounds like today was a day for the furry babies to get us up. My pugs, Peanut and Ebony were all over me this morning after DH got up. They usually get up in bed and curl up after DH starts getting ready for work but this morning they kept trying to wake me up, I couldn't get them to settle down. It's cute NOW but at the time I was not seeing much humor in it. They must have been pretty hungry because they were determined that I was going to get up and feed them and I was just as determined to NOT feed them before 6:00 am. I’ve been giving them one of those meal replacement bones each morning before I leave for work and they just love them, a little to well. I'm not sure who won, I got up at 5:45 after spending 30 minutes scolding “go lie down, get off the bed, NO, bad dogs." If they weren't jumping on me they were running around the bed playing with each other. What a pair, last night they were unusually quiet during the evening and I think they were trying to make up for lost play this morning. They do make you laugh though; Miss Ebony loves to try to howl when she is trying to get your attempting. She backs up while she puts her nose in the air and howls with all her heart but it comes out with laryngitis. She can't cock her head back and make much noise at all.
For anyone who watched The Biggest Loser last night, the camp ground was a pretty realistic picture of where I live, that will explain why I don’t have a garden. But if any of you ever get a chance to visit the Grand Canyon, it is so worthwhile. My BIL refused to travel to AZ just to see the Grand Canyon (and visit us) but he finally caved into my SIL’s pleading. His response was he didn’t need to go see it when he could see films of it on TV. When we finally got him to the rim he looked across it and said “you just can’t see this on TV”. There is no way at all you can capture the vastness of it on film. For instance on TBL it didn’t look nearly as deep as it really is, when you stand on the rim you can watch ravens shoring around on the air currents and you are look down into the canyon at them.
Schmoodle I PM'ed you back. Sweat pants from 60lbs ago you should throw those out. Is cold up there now to need sweat pants? I love what not to wear so let me know when you'll be on
EofAZ as many times as we have been to vegas we have never been to the grand canyon so this May we are planning a trip so we can finally check it out - it looks breath taking
Yes Gonna! It is gray, drizzly, and cool. So I wanted cozy, and I haven't needed to buy new sweats, so I found the old ones. Good thing she is around to keep me from going out the door sometimes. I never think to look in the mirror. Sometimes I forget to brush my hair in the morning. Working at home makes you a little lazy about that stuff.
Kierie, hope you are wearing a long shirt!
EofAZ, I have been to Arizona quite a few times, but more the Phoenix/Yuma part of the state for business (to blow things up), never have gotten out to see the canyon. I like it out there, hope to get out with the kids sometime to see the GC.

It is, and when you are standing on the edge and listening to the silence coming up to meet you think of me. The South Rim has a lot more lookouts and you can really get the feel for the grandness of what you are really seeing but the North Rim is a whole different experience. A wonderful forest leads up to the rim. When I take guests I take them to the South Rim when DH and I go camping we go to the North Rim, it's farther but such a gorgeous place to go camping and watch for wildlife.
DD just came home from school and she is bouncing off the walls. She is a bus helper, and once a month they get "paid". Today she was given one of those GIANT Hershey bars, you know the ones that are about a lb of chocolate? Why on earth would a 55 lb tiny kid NEED a one-lb bar of chocolate? Why would anybody? What on earth are they thinking? She finished about 2/3 of it on the way home. I can't believe she isn't barfing right now, but she sure is guzzling the water. And getting on my nerves big time.
Thanks to for the nice welcome. Zeff I feel for you. Hope everything gets resolved quickly and please take care of yourself because you have your little ones to think off.
Cyndi You asked what type of beading I do. There are so many stitches that I do. Needle and thread type - peyote, right angle, netting, brick, etc. I do them all. I love to enclose cabocons with peyote stitch using japanese delicas and also doing beaded beads. I've done amulets too. I took a couple of workshops but being a weaver it all came to me very easily. I did very well selling but then I realized was a little machine and that didn't suit me. When one of my DS comes home I will get him to load down some pictures. I am not too good at that.
Me - today was a frustrating day. I went grocery shopping and an oil that I bought spilled all over my groceries. The seal broke. So I had to return it and some stuff with no problem. Then I had to buy some stuff in a drugstore and made the mistake of asking when is seniors day (DH is one). Its tomorrow. So back into a line to get a refund, I wouldn't let 8 bucks slip by.
I have been on plan today but will have to have a carb before I go to bed.
Sorry if I have missed anyone, hope you are having a good day

So, we've retained a lawyer and are not going to pay the 18k. The lawyer said they were probably just trying to scare us into paying it and by paying it, we would be claiming the debt as our own. We've held fast on the fact that we're disputing the debt the entire way through...
Having a lawyer really is helping my piece of mind. Thankfully he's a family friend and is doing this for us pro-bono.
Went and signed the lease in the new condo today. Felt a lot better about it. I always get cold feet with things like this and it was nice to be able to sleep on it. We found someone willing to rent our house (some friends that we know and trust need a house until theirs is finished being renovated. We'll put it on the market soon, though), so that is definitely a burden lifted. I know that they keep their house very orderly and the husband is a fantastic handy man. I know that renting to friends can be a big mistake, but I hope that because we have the same values in life...it won't be a big deal. It's only for 3 months anyway.
So...I guess we're planning to move within the next few weeks. I have no idea how....
Ruth - how are your fingers?? All still there ? I have 6 trays of tomatoes (the last of the season) and 3 trays of mushrooms in right now - heat and yummy smells all night.
Mel hun, how was DOOL today, haven't watched it yet, been busy shopping with dad and then cooked dinner, now i'm resting and eating some nuts, LOL
Zeff, have you purchased stuff online with ur credit/debt cards? Even when you think you are safe online, that's not the case. My father won't use his debt card online because he knows that's just a red flag for the @sses that steal your identity.. of course all Bank/Social Security information is on computers to begin with for hackers to hack into, for them it can be done cause they are experts.
We don't use our debit cards online. There is a difference between using a debit card online and a credit card....mainly, if your debit card is hacked your "real" money will be gone and if a credit card is hacked...well, your entire life is screwed over.
tomato/tomahto, I suppose.

I have absolutely no idea how I'm supposed to finish DH's cake by Friday evening. I think I might just have to buy some fondant as the stuff that I made didn't turn out - it was too humid in the house. Store bought fondant is gross...but I guess they can scrape it off.
My life seems so backwards lately...packing is making the house look like a war zone. Ugh. I looked into hiring movers, but their prices are astronomical! 3k just to pack and move this little house...
I hope none of our birthday guests have to go to the bathroom, as our guest bathroom is currently filled with 6 rubbermaid totes and 4 gigantic cube vacuum bags.
Haha, a car dealership in my town burnt to the ground, all the cars are destroyed.. man would I have loved to see that..
Zeff, ur right.. hey I'll tell ya something funny. Awhile ago we were redoing the bathroom and we had our toilet outside on the lawn and whenever my bro had to go he went in there, it was hilarious.. the things men do.
