So I read in the paper this morning that my ANGELS lost their first baseman, Kendry Morales, for the season....
seems he jumped on the plate wrong after a walk/stretcher off grand slam.....
quite a contrast from the picture of him all smiles leaping toward the plate and the look on all the faces of the players as they lift him off the plate with a fractured leg....
I didn't get to see the game, Gary, but glad to see a Rockies win.
I was glad to see Roy Halladay have a perfect game. I don't know why, but I just really like him. That's why the Phillies are my fantasy team.
I also heard about Morales. What a shame that something so innocent as a celebration cost him so much.
The junior college games are going great. Saw some good baseball. There is a kid, 17 years old, here that is projected to be the number one pick in the draft. He quit high school early, got a GED, just so he could get to the JUCO ranks and get drafted early. I'm not sure I think that was the best move, but I guess he'll make lots of money. He didn't show a lot last night, but that might be because of the many eyes on him! We'll see more games today! I love this weekend.
Hi Everyone this looks like it will be a fun page to post on. Unfortunately my team is absolutely horrid this year Arizona. Our manager has lost the team. He and the GM are tight and our owner won't get involved. Oh well it just a game. I see we have some huge baseball fans here this makes me happy. Baseball was king in our house my dad played in the minors back in the 60's and I play up until I graduated high school. Anyways I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.
Hi, Clydegirl, and BillBlueEyes. My wife joined 3FC about a month ago and I joined about a week ago. I have been on Medifast for the last year and lost almost 70 pounds, but it got way to expensive so I have switched to south beach with my wife. The Sox have my man Dustin Pedroia I watched him play at Packard Stadium for ASU.
