I'm not sure what's going on with our pitching... Beckett is on the DL, Dice K is as inconsistent as my scale... and in my opinion Lackey is not comfortable here at all 'yet' ?... I look around at some of the pitchers we traded (Penny and Arroyo, come to mind) having pretty good seasons so far... I'm waiting for David Wells to pop up somewhere LOL... Yet... we keep plugging along... Phillies again tonight...
Enjoy the games everyone...

I saw the musical, Johnny Baseball at the ART in Cambridge, MA last night. A really funny portrayal of Red Sox fans and the history of The Curse. The fictional character, Johnny O'Brien who earns the nickname Johnny Baseball, is the best pitcher ever in the 1920's. The shallow story line is on the serious topic of racism with bold reminder that the Red Sox were the last team in Major League Baseball to field an African-American, and that wasn't until 1959. A fun evening.
And, they sold Italian Sausages and Hot Dogs from a typical Yawkey Way vendor truck.

Oh Bill... I saw that advertised... I'm going to look into going...
Nice to see you !
Now all we need is for the rest of the gang to check in...
Sorry, it was one of those weeks last week and then I was in Denver for my niece's graduation. So busy that I didn't even know how the Rockies did. Well, we're back up to .500. Looks like Gary will be cheering for the Cardinals since they are playing the Padres (I think?). We're at home for 6 games... DBacks and then the Dodgers.
I'll be distracted starting on Saturday, though. We have the Junior College World Series starting here in town and I'll be planting my butt in the stands for as many games as I can. Absolutely love JUCO!! The weather looks good, so I'm very excited! There are 4 games on Saturday, 3 games on Sunday and Monday. Then I have to go back to work... so I'll only be able to go to the night games starting on Tuesday. I'll keep you posted!
