I thought I'd bump this thread! I really should be going to bed soon, but instead I'm relaxing with a glass or two of wine and trying to get my photos online. It's horribly hot here at 10.30pm so I'd like you all to just imagine what it was like 12 hours ago in Hyde Park. Horribly, horribly hot!

Thanks to Kylie we did at least have access to the sponsors tent which was a lifesaver. There was shade. And free food. Wahey!

Sadly, the "stars" consisted of the Cheeky Girls, Floella Benjamin and some radio presenters that none of us had heard of. And someone from Corrie after the race. But there was shade. Which was good. Did I mention the shade?

This is us, relatively cool, before the race!

Sadly we couldn't just run 10k round the tent (would have got a bit boring) so we had to venture out into the sun. I'm pleased to say that we all got round safely in one piece, there were people collapsing from the heat and really struggling, so just to get round at all is definitely a big achievement. So, medals all round (and having got very sweaty and poured large amounts of water over ourselves to cool down a couple of changes of clothes later) and this is us after. Thanks to the suncream there doesn't seem to be too much redness, and no blisters either.

Then after hiding in the tent for a while trying to cool down we had to venture out... for well earned pizza. And Ben and Jerry's. mmmmm...

We didn't even have energy to do much shopping, we just collapsed on the grass in Leicester Square...

By this point the race people had all dispersed leaving us wandering round central London, unshowered, in running kit. People probably thought we were insane.

And they may have had a good point...

Woo hoo!!!! And a great time was had by all. It was really fun and I've been bit. I have just seen my chip time, and it was 1:37. My goal was 1:30, so given the heat, not too shoddy!!!!

Question mainly for Helen, do you know where the official photographs will be?

Where are the chip times? I can't see them on the website.

I THINK the photos will be on http://www.sportcam.net, I think it's them who were taking them although it's not listed yet.

It was indeed the greatest thing EVER!

I'm just trying to summon the courage to walk down stairs to get my bottle of squash for the morning - the walk up the stairs to the office was, erm, interesting!

I'm very pleased I did it, and it was easier than I'd anticipated... I think I could be persuaded to do another 10K race sometime!

I found the chip times quite by accident!!!!

I've had a bath this morning, and deep heat on my thighs, oh it's the best feeling ever!

I've even walked to the shop!
