  • ANOTHER co-worker compliment!

Yesterday my office mate asked "so how much weight HAVE you lost?" and I said "39 lb - still got about 13 to go to meet goal" and she said "WOW, 39! That's really terrific! You look really good!! - how are you doing it?" and I told her the basic "eat less/move more" explanation.

So... anyway... - yup, made my day!!
  • SUPER cute construction guy stared, then winked at me last Fri a.m. - made my day!!
  • A lot of people at work are starting to notice my weight loss. Just about every day that I work someone is saying something about it! One woman looked at me after not seeing me for almost a week (I only work 3 days a week and she was out sick the days I worked the week before) and said, "Wow, I just looked at you and realize there's a whole lot less of you now!"

Another woman said to me, "Are you losing weight? You are looking skinny!"

One of my best friends and I (who I work out with) went out to eat a few days ago and when I walked into her house her mouth literally dropped and she exclaimed, "Oh my God! You are so LITTLE!" She sees me almost every day, but normally in baggy T-shirts and sweat pants and not fitted jeans and shirts.

I don't think "skinny" and "little" are really good terms to describe me, haha, but it feels good hearing it from other people. I have a long way to go, definitely, but getting awesome compliments makes me want to keep on going!
  • A few weeks ago I walked by two guys in a convenience store parking lot, and one said to the other, "Damn, that's a fine looking woman."

At Easter, I got lots of "skinny" and "thin" comments. But my fave was when a niece said to Hubby, "Your wife sure is looking good these days."
  • I got the usual ones along the way, too. One regular customer where I work always calls me "Skinny" now and lots of people from church have said I look wonderful ask me how I did it. These are great. But the best one has to be this:

I've been divorced from my DD's dad for 20 years. We are on decent terms, and I get along with his wife, though we don't often have to get together since our daughter lives out of state. I was 250 when we divorced and stayed there until last year. I was at a dance and saw someone I knew across the room (huge room.) As I turned a corner to go to their table, I saw my ex with his wife and a bunch of their friends. I had to walk past them, which was no big deal - like I said - we get along. I was looking right at the ex - actually making eye contact - and he's just smiling like you would at a stranger. Then his wife says really loud, "Oh, my God! Kay said you were losing weight, but I didn't expect this!" It was only then that the ex realized it was me and his jaw dropped to the floor. I was about 15 pounds heavier than when we met - it wan't like he had never seen me thinner than 250. That was the absolute best reaction ever.
