  • I hera ya dea, yesterday was freshman orientation and of course they lost her paperwork and........after all the running around I did in 100 heat I crashed last nite at 7:00!!! for 2.5 hours! Her campus is humongous and there are like 10 offices and up stairs......I did not have a chance to go for a regular walk but between that and the park I am marking down 30. lol

    Yeah I actually slept in this morning! Didn't get out on my walk til like 8:10 and it was already 77 degrees! It was like 84 when I got back. Yeesh!

    I hope you have fun! Break out the sun screen! Yeah everyone else must be busy. We are doing great! Hooray for us!! How many calories are you sticking too?
  • I have never really counted calories....seems like alot of work, and I know that I would probably loose interest fast. I am familiar with the Weight Watchers points program, although I am not a member, so I kind of keep track that way. What I am mostly trying to do is increase the fruits/veggies, minimize the breads/pastas/junk, and stay active. I would most likely loose the weight faster if I knew more about the "science" of what I eat/should eat, but like I said, if I make it too complicated, I would not stick to it.

    What about you?? Are you on any particular program?

    Hey Dea. I guess it can get pretty tedious and obsessive at times. *sigh* I went from 280 down to 242 just by walking and watching the junk foods, making healthier choices etc. But I hit a brick wall. I realized although I was eating plenty of healthy foods I was STILL eating too much! hahahahah Once I started cal counting(1700 average a day) the pounds started peeling off again. When they don't peel off is when I am not counting cals.

    I find I have to be pretty obsessive about it to do this. You just have to do whatever works for you hun! I try to make the food fun and just do healthier versions most the time instead of depriving myself. The ww sounds very similiar so good for you!
