Charlotte, so sorry to hear about the recent losses. I'm sure your aunt understands...sounds like the trip would be tough for both you and your sister. Maybe you can gather the family close to you and have a memorial dinner or something. Not to mourn her but to celebrate her.

Me? I'm doing okay. Got another refer. for a surgeon. Guess I don't have too many excuses. Will call him on monday.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Sounds like I better get on the ball for the 8/8 10 lbs loss......looks like Laura's got a jump start .

I hope everybody is doing well today.

Angel - so sorry about your losses. I have had two losses in the past month as well. It is sad to see them go, but knowing they are no longer suffering is good. I do hope you feel better soon.

Laura - We can start graphics whenever you like. Maybe send me your MSN or YAHOO so we can talk it through. That is sometimes easier. Just put it in my mailbox, please.

Grasshopper - Decision making time soon Well, that is ok, because once you decide you will go through with it and all will work out fine.

Hi Ageoldie, Pam and Joanne. Hope you two are keeping well.

Not much going on here. Had a mammogram yesterday, followed by x-rays of lower back and hip, but that is about all. Hot days, so trying to stay cool. Have a good day, everybody.

Anne,
What mailbox are you talking about? I don't know where your mailbox is. IKNOW you aren't talking about your home mailbox. So just direct to the right place and I will do it.

Default Men

Hi all,
I told everyone about the guy who was emailing me. We were just trying to be friends, you know nothing serious. Well gues what? The guy so far turned out to a jerk. I told him I was trying to lose weight and I haven't heard back from him since. It has been 3 days. He has never taken more than 1 day to email back. I thought I could be wrong, but after 3 days and nothing. Well it makes me so madddd. And it hurt my feelings. Why is it that men no matter what can always be depended on being a *** ( sorry about the word ) when it comes to weight. Well I wrote him one last email and told him what I thought of his behavior. This has happened before and I have said nothing . Well not this time.. I just wish that there was some nice man who wants to be friends would not let weight be an issue. Maybe someday. Yeah right.

Well you guys all take care
I am not going to let this bother me so much that I fall off of my diet. I will be strong

Stirfried...maybe you should give him a couple of days longer. After all, you really don't know, for sure, that's the reason he hasn't emailed you. If you don't hear from the last email, then it's a pretty good bet that you're right. Yes, men can be jerks....they can also get tied up with other things, & forget their friends for a couple of days, also. They're not as loyal to friends (most of the time), as women are, when it comes to things like this. Just a thought. I wouldn't want you to lose a friend over a misunderstanding. I'm so sorry you were hurt. If this is the case, & that's why he hasn't answered your email, then he isn't worth your time.
I'm afraid I haven't been as loyal as I need to be. I've had so much going on...& been sick, also.

Happy Canuk...hope tests turned out well.

Young Grasshopper...Hope you're feeling well.

Hello to ALL of you!!

Default Hey There

I too have been a little lax this week. I have been here ,but, not here...
Stirfried- Don't give it another thought.. The roght person will come along.. I always thought that the net was not the best place to find a longtime mate... My son went that route too and it didn't amount to anything worth while..He met a nice girl through his realtor and it looks like they may get marriedIt turned out she was a year or so behind him in school.
Grasshopper- Still thinking about surgery..Have you thought about the lap-band? It is not as invasive.
Happy- Hope you are feeling fine..
Hello everybody...Joanne

Default Thanks

Thanks everyone for the support.

Angel,
I was right he never did right back so I sent him the email, and still no response. Oh well I am not looking for Mr. right. He was just someone to talk to.
I hope my email let him no what a creep he is.

How come I can't lose weight by counting calories or fat grams. It has been over a week and I am still just about the same weight as when I started. I am lucky I lost the 2 lbs and then I gain water weight so it doesn't even seem like I lost that much. I am going to give it one more week and if it doesn't work I am going to have to try something different. Maybe I will use meal plans that have actually worked for me. I gues my metabolism just isn't fast enough antmore. I am not quitting. I just figured that if I ate less and moved more it would work.

There are a lot of diet plan that have recipes that I could go by. Maybe something out of south beach I don't know. I can have some fruit with that and that is one thing I miss on low carb diets. Help!!

Default Hey There

Stirfried- Give yourself time...South Beach and Weight Watchers are very good eating plans. I have done both. Exercise is the key.. It doesn't have to be anything more than a good walk. But consistant. Losing slow is better. Write everything you eat down. You can do it!!Have faith in yourself..

Hi All!

Glad that Stirfried heard from her friend. Hope the fact that he wrote back means that he's off the jerklist. You never know with online stuff. I've emailed some people for over 5 years, and consider them really good friends, and have had my share of let downs. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone to talk to. Like you guys

Feeling so so. Think the new meds are making me sick. Feel naus. a lot. Not a great feeling. Have been out of work since thursday.....not good.

Joanne, I've thought about the lap band. Right now I'm just trying to get into see a surg. The referral I had was for a general surg. because my primary doc. didn't know who did the surg. Not a good sign. Guess I'll just have to be more proactive.

Angel - How's the ten lb. diet going? Have to admit, I need to get in more water. Then again, it's been so hot and muggy that water is the only thing I want to drink.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Good morning everyone. Not much time....again.
Glad you heard from your friend, stirfried. Hang in there with your diet. Everything takes time. Especially if it's something worthwhile.
Grasshopper, I think I lost about 2 lbs, but, I bought a couple of bags of candy & they're beside my pc!!! NOT GOOD!! I guess this is your chance to pass me up!! I've got to get rid of it....& not by eating it.
Hello to Joanne, Happy Canuk, & all.
Have a good day.

Deb,
Hi how are you? Yea I am glad he emailed back. It gives me faith that every man out there is looking for some barbie. I re read my email to him, and I was so upset that I somehow Got it wriiten down that I weighed 290, So I had to right back and let him know that it was a type O. And that I needed to lose bertween 20-45 lbs. This is depending on how I look and feel, becauce even at 160 is not bad if you are working out a lot of fat will be gone and hopefully replaced by muscle.
How much over weight do you have to be to even be concided for a lap band or the surgery.

Angel
I know about those candies by your pc, that bodes bad. I bet you will still make your 10 lb weight loss. I hope you and Deb don't mind but I am trying to lose 10 lbs right along with you guys.

Anne I thought I would say hello to you while I am here. I really enjoy the emails I get from you. I was thinking that maybe we should wait to start the graphics for a couple of weeks. I just got on the Enbrel and a higher dose of mtx. I want to gived them time to kick in.
