Thumbs down

Hello ladies,
All this talk of gardening...I spent 3 1/2 hours outside yesterday getting my flower beds ready to plant, cut & edged the lawn....and now I need a few days to recover from the darn pain
Candice, I love the Lexapro. The only side effect I've had from it is dry mouth. It hasn't given me headaches at all. I'm sleeping now, something I haven't done much of for the past 8 or so years. Between perimenopause and fibro, I was either sweating or in pain, so sleep was hard to come by. But, I'm sleeping 6-7 hours a night now!
Going to hit the nurseries tomorrow and buy some flats of flowers. Supposed to be in the mid seventies and sunny all weekend here, so I can get them planted.
To those of you having painful flare-ups, take care, get plenty of rest and I hope you feel better soon.

See ya soon

Gail

Default Hey There

Hello everybody..My hubby has been working in the yard for a few hours just about every day. Mulching everything. It is in the 90's here now so we are trying to keep things from drying out so fast.
I walked 2 miles today on the treadmil. ..Only ate 16 points so I can have something later.
Bye...Joanne

Hi everyone-have to go to the funeral this am.I lost 1 and a fourth lbs at the weigh in-very happy-I am half way there. Need to walk-not for the weight but for the cholesterol-need to remember that. Stone on front half done. Will send pictures late but I have to send them to Meme first-where are you Meme. Good for you Joanne. I really like TOPS. Yesterday we had a crown from the yard sale stuff at the church and the one with the best weight loss got it.We all had a weight loss yesterday. gotta wash my hair. be good everyone. Mima

Bouquet sounds lovely, Candice. I've had lilac and pink tulups but must throw out now. My lily of the valley's quite lush now too, should bring some in. So tired of rain and gray skies and the aches that go with same.

Got in a good and much needed workout at the pool yesterday. Haven't figured today out yet but will go to church tomorrow instead of tonight so we can watch the Preakness on TV. Missed the Derby because we were babysitting (well dh got to watch the actual race but we usually make a mini event out of watching it) but I was playing with the princesses at race time.

Should really look into TOPS. I'm sort of at a standstill motivation wise. There's a CURVES near us I should look into as well. Just no get up and go when I'm hurting. The sun will come out TOMORROW, TOMORROW - at least that's what they're saying NOW. It was supposed to come out here today.

I'm here Mima: [email protected]

Storms here all night. Didn't sleep any. Was still awake at 8. Slept some after that but now I feel like I've been run over by a Mac truck. More storms for tonight and tomorrow...oh joy! Why did I even make up the bed?

Default Hey There

Meme- Send some of that rain to the west coast of Fl. I live a mile from the Gulf and I am always moaning about the lack of rain. Ofcourse,I love the rain.
I walked my usual route today. I hope I can keep it up.
I ache like a toothache all over but what the heck.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend...Joanne

Cold and rainy here today again. 52 degrees high, incredible for May 17th.

Got in a walk and some wet gardening. Relaxing day.

Hi ladies,
Had a beautiful day here, mid-70's & sunny & more of the same tomorrow. Had a load of mulch delivered we put in and I'm totally exhausted. My hands are killing me, but it's starting to look really nice. All this gardening will be my workout for the week, lol.
Think I'll sit out on the patio and sip iced tea and read a book tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of the weekend all!

Joanne...I wish you had it all...it's killing me! I've been in bed CHILLING all day then tonight I was burning up. Took my temp and it was 99.8. Which is very high for me because normal for me is barely 97 - sometimes it's even BELOW 97. Does anyone else have this problem when you're going through a flare-up? Chilling then burning up? It's like I have the flu with the body aches and all but I don't. I got up and made the beds, got my email, made some coffee and ate a granola bar so I could take my meds. Hubby put new faucets in the bathrooms all afternoons...kept having leaks so he had the water off most of the day - I hate that! So, I was tired of my bed and went and layed on his bed for a while. Then I got up and went to the couch and watched a couple of movies. Took a shower and now it's bedtime again. It's rained off and on all day and we're having storms all night and most of the day tomorrow and tomorrow night. I want to go live with Joanne!

Meme-have you been checked for low thyroid-when my body temp was low the doce discovered I had low thyroid-lots of women have it. Too bad about the storms-that would scare me. I went to the funeral yesterday and saw some of my old friends -the pastor didn't know I had moved-it's a big church and I never told him!I guess he doesn't check the donations! It's finally going to be warm today-we are so sick of the cold. Going to work Tues night(traveling) but have to get there in time to see American Idol. My son voted for Kim,berly 50 plus times but it still didn't help. I'm rooting for Clay because he is the underdog but Rueben's voice is unbelievable. Try Tops anagram. it's only 2$ a week and I like the way it's done even though i liked WW.I follow the WW diet-you can do any diet but they don't talk about food. I like the people too. I don't know anyone around here so it serves another purpose. Have a great Sunday. Mima

Default Hey

Mima- Tops charges are a little different down here.$ 25.00 to join and $5 a month dues. I enjoy the meeting as well. My weigh in this week wasn't so good. I was up 1 1/2 lbs. I am trying to do better. I am going away this week so that isn't going to be easy. I don't do well eating out. Some people have the magic formula,I just don't. I have to be very rigid in order to lose the weight. Lately ,I guess I haven't been willing. I need to lose 12 lbs to get to my new goal. I'll get there. I walked for the third day this week..
Meme- A lot of people are getting tired of the wet cold weather and moving to Fl. Ofcourse they don't always realize it takes about 5 years for their blood to get thinner. They don't like the humidity. I just make use of my cool air.Hope you feel better.

Good morning to you all. I hope you are getting lots done this weekend. Here, in Canada, it is a long weekend - and it is traditionally NOT a nice one. It is the summer kickoff for campers and lakers. I am sure not a camper. It is cold here and the wind has been blowing so hard for the past 2 days. We did get some snow on Friday night, but it had all melted by the time we got up Saturday morning. There is always snow around at this time of year. Today, it is SUPPOSED to start warming up a little.

I am glad that you ladies all are getting your flowers planted. Here, we still have to wait a couple of weeks. Still freezing at night - some nights.

I think I may try to join TOPS as well.

Well, we will have to make a decision about where in the world we want to live and SOON! They sold this condo we are in and the lady want possession on the 25 June. They are supposed to give us 90 days notice, but we told them not to worry about that. The owners moved a couple of hundred miles from here and they sold one of the units they had, so I told them that they should try get this one sold as well. It is too hard to look after property if you aren't around. So, they listed it a couple of weeks ago and got an offer on it last night. So, soon I shall be homeless!! What the heck, it's time for housecleaning again, anyway! One sure way to get it done, is to move. You get rid of all kinds of junk that just seems to accumulate.

Everyone have a great day!
