Sloan..
Keeping your dad at the top of my prayers!!!

I am a bit worried tonight because I found a walnut sized lump under the skin in my upper arm on the under side.. It is firm, sore and doesn't seem attached.
I can't believe it is this big and I didn't notice it til now.
Robin wants me to have it checked tomorrow but with graduation I think I would prefer to wait til Monday.

I went shopping tonight for a dress for graduation and finally found a great dress. It is black with big hot pink flowers on it..I got a pink lightweight sweater to wear over it. I really love it..We have budgeted so much that it was a treat to go buy a new dress...
But I realized how much my weight has changed what I can wear..
I am up 2 sizes from a few years ago..
Saturday starts some serious dieting & exercise...

Good Morning Ladies

Yesterday was kind of busy for me,That I couldn't get out to walk along the beach,First I had my cable man in to fix my cable after another cable man was suppose to fix Unit C and undid mine. Than in the afternoon I had a handy man come to show me how to use the gas grill and to install my a/c's before it gets hot up here.

Now the weather looks threatening,so I got to make this short to take advantage of my beach walking.

VICKIE-I think we;re going to get your weather soon. Sorry about your migraines,I used to get them and I know what you going though.
Had such a good time with the trip & going to go with the seniors again when they go to another musical.

SLOAN=Prayers are still going strong for you and your family.

NANCY-Prayers are going out for you also. I had some kind of lump under my right arm and the doctor told me it was nothing to worry about. He lanced it and I had to take antibiotic for a few days. Hope its the same for you. Happy that you found a beautiful dress for the graduation.

Have to go,and try to get my beach walking done before the rains set in.

Good Morning Chicks! It's Friday already. The days are flying by.

Nancy, I'll be praying that the lump is no big deal. I hope you get an answer soon.

Mary Ann, have a great day. Sounds like you are getting lots of stuff done around your house. Good for you.

Gotta go have breakfast.

Nancy, I hope your lump turns out to be nonthreatening.

Maryann, I love your new avatar.

Vickie, time is certainly zipping along. We've been extra-busy the past few days, too, and are ready for some down time.

Hi Al:

Nancy, surely a few days won't matter but get it checked, obviously. I have a lump on my upper right arm that the MD says is just a calcium deposit. But, it's not sore. Maybe look at the Mayo Clinic website symptom checker.

And, we're here for you on Monday when you start the next step in your journey to lose the pounds. It feels so good to come down a few sizes, and you'll get there.

Maryann, the group was Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I've always thought that our age group will be the coolest one yet in the nursing homes. We had such good music!

Hey y'all, things are not going well. We asked for a "no heroics" order today, so they won't be doing any cpr or shocks if my dad's heart acts up. It is looking like we will be turning off the ventilator, barring a "hand of God miracle", sometime next week. I appreciate all of your awesome prayers and hope you will continue. Thanks for being such good prayer warriors.

Sloan,

Rhonda, I'm glad your knot isn't anything serious.

Nancy, I've I've been floundering, too. We need to restart our 10 lb loss.

I'm being referred to a pain specialist for 2 bulging discs in my lower back. Rhonda, did you have this? I'm thinking you had some back problems. If so, what did they do for you?

Sloan,
I feel bad posting about celebrating my son's graduation when you are going through what you are experiencing right now.. That is how life is isn't it..
A season for everything... I am praying for that miracle but also for strength & peace for whatever next week holds ...

Tonight was my son's graduation and everything went great. The speaker
was so depressing it got funny. He talked about the recession , the
country's decline , global warming ect...
Way to inspire those kids LOL...

Wanted to share a photo of me with my 2 boys..
I have tried to reduce the photo size but it keeps coming up large..
sorry if it is slow to load...

Good Morning Ladies

We had a wild thunderstorm around here,it started around 8:46 until 9:30.There was a time I hid down in the basement, and then when up stairs when it was in the distance.

Was suppose to go down to the beach to get my beach sticker, but I don't think I'll go today with all the storms they predicting for the whole day.Maybe I talk my friend into going to the Shrek movie starting at 1:30.

VICKIE-Can't believe how much I have to get rid of especially in the basement. Not allowed to have a yard sale in my complex so I have to hire a man with a panel truck and bring the the items to the junk yard. The other small items I'm going to bring to our church's flea market.

SANDRA-My DD e-mailed that to me,it was taken when I was down at her house for Easter. She put the characters in there.

RHONDA-I do agree with you about our music, it was the best, didn't like the big bands of the 30 & 40 and hate the music the play in the 90 & 2000. But I have lots of CD's and records of the 50tys and when I close my eye I find my way back there in time.

SLOANE-I'm still praying for your dad,and hope that you will see a miracle from the Lord. Please to care of yourself & your mom at this time.

NANCY-Congrats to your DS on this graduation, you look great, and thanks for sharing the photo

Going to attempt to go down to the beach and get my beach sticker

Nancy, thank you for sharing the photo. You have a good looking family. And the photo wasn't too big. It loaded easily.

Curtis and I have done some walking today. Life is good.

I have to really get serious about getting `at least 15 pounds off.
I am thinking about trying to follow the South Beach plan.
Maybe limiting my carbs will help curb my appetite..

Has anyone known anybody that did well with South Beach..

Good Morning Chicks! It's cool here in Chicagoland. At least it's not raining and humid. We have tons to do today as usual, including a walk for my little man since it is so nice out.

Nancy, I started SBD before I did Core in 2004. I found it very restrictive and something I could not stick to, especially in the first 7 days. Maybe you aren't as in love with carbs as I am.

Hi Ladies

Not feeling well, my stomach is upset and I have a headache to boot. Can't get sick as I have so many things to bring down to the churches summer fair.Between a pressure cooker crock pot and other items that I don't need anymore.

My friend is going to have a garage sale next weekend so I do have another chance to get rid of some of the junk.

Must get those A/C's in the windows as it really getting humid.Glad the handy man if coming here tomorrow.

NANCY-I was on the South Beach for 3 years and I had problems adding food back to Phase 2,I stalled constantly, but that was me. There were lots of woman on the 3 fat chicks that did marvelously on the SBD.

VICKIE-Maybe you in Chicago-land could push the coolness toward the Cape Cod area.We getting it bad today, can't stand the humidity.

Going to watch the golf game
