Wahoo! Weighed in this am at 215.2! I am so excited about reaching my BL goal early. One of the reason I made it my goal was my scale. I have a weight tracking scale that I have had since Jan 2006. You record an initial weigh-in and then everytime you weigh in after that, it tells you how much over or under you are to your initial weight. Well, my initial weigh-in on that scale was 215.6. For the first time in YEARS, the scale showed me a negative number instead of a positive!

(I notice too that I joined 3FC in Jan 2006, so I'm back at my original joining weight too!) Only going down from here! Did I mention WAHOO!?

Super exciting day today as tons of progress was made on the building of our new house! I was POP, but I am also suffering from chocolate or FOOD cravings, in general. So far so good, though.

Let's see if I can get this to post..... been having problems all day.

I have made some changes to my plan. I've renewed my membership to Jillian's site, so I'll have my workouts all planned out for me. Part of what I hate about strength training is all the thinking you have to do; what exercises, how many reps, how many sets, how much weight, how long..........ack! Makes me just want to jump on a treadmill and run off.

I'm going to continue to eat 1500 calories per day, though I may do a bit of calorie cycling, just keeping my average at 1500. If I eat less than that for more than a couple of days in a row I start to get ravenous, and part of my weight loss philosophy is never to starve myself. I'm going to start taking one rest day per week, probably on Wednesdays. The days I exercise I am going to shoot for 800 calories burned. As Jillian's program calls for 4 days of strength training per week my week is going to look something like this......

Thursday - strength training
Friday - strength training
Saturday - cardio
Sunday - strength training
Monday - strength training
Tuesday - cardio
Wednesday - Rest Day

I'm going to try this out for the rest of the year and see where it gets me. If I lose 7lbs I will dance for joy!!

So I got under 250 at Weight Watchers at weigh-in last Saturday. But I weigh more on the balance beam scale at the gym, so when I weighed on Tuesday I still had to keep the big bottom weight at 250, ugh. But today I finally got to move it! I like to set the scale at my start weight before I get on so I'm moving the weights to the left (seeing the weight go down) instead of moving them to the right (weight going up). It was so fun moving that big bottom weight to the left! It looks like I'm going to have another good weigh-in on Saturday. Can't wait!

Oh, and I found a pretty cool website today www.bodyrock.tv This chick's a bada$$! She posts a new workout every day (so you don't get bored). I haven't tried them yet, I know I can't do them all at this point. But I'm going to try some of them when I'm up at my parents' house and away from the gym on Thanksgiving. If you dig through, there are a few beginner workouts.

Aclai-Yay! It's so fun to see that progress...especially passing a half-century mark! Congrats and keep up the good work!

Monte-Looks like a nice solid schedule. I am also gonna start calorie cylcing soon. I'm hoping it will give the sense that I can eat a little more some days and still see good scale progress and also to coordinate with the days I'm doing more (or less) exercise.

I'm back down to my low weight and REALLY hope to see a loss tomorrow so I can move on from this crazy week+ of fluctuating around the same pound! I'm staying POP and have managed the pre-TOM cravings well so far! Yay!

Well I've done two days of strength training and I am SO sore! I am so happy that tomorrow is a straight cardio day! But I feel fantastic, and I've already lost 1 pound, so it looks like things are working out so far. I hope everyone has a great on plan weekend!

P.S. - I am still open to suggestions for an exercise challenge. If I don't get any ideas soon we may be stuck with a do-it-yourself week............

Hello All,

Everyone is doing so well! I am glad I can post regularly now, it was very hard not to be able to post when I wanted. Well because I haven't weighed myself for a month and no exercise, I was concerned I wouldn't have lost anything but because my calories were very low I have lost 14 pounds!

IGetFit: WOW!! Amazing! 14 lbs in one month? That's crazy good!

I finally got myself together and stuck to my calories. I'm down to 153.2 and I don't feel deprived. I need to tattoo "portion control" on my hands and my forehead so when I reach for some food or look in the mirror, I remember this.

I'm happy about the 1 lb loss. I would take anything, so it's awesome to see 1 instead of 0.2 like I was seeing.

I REACHED GOAL! My initial goal of 135, that is. I was just so super excited, but I was at my parent's house all day, so I just got home to post!

Igetfit-Holy cow, woman! 14 pounds is incredible! I'm so glad you're back on a regular basis. Keep up the good work!

Sunnigummi-Great about the pound gone! I love to see ANY loss!!

Well, we're just about to head out to start our vacation. Unfortunately we won't have access to the internet, so I wanted to stop in and wish everyone an early Happy Thanksgiving!!! I count my blessings everyday and you ladies are definitely on that list! Thank you so much for all your encouragement and support - I've really enjoyed being part of this team.
