LOL, LOL, LOL, I was just picturing the whole scene in my mind and how it played out and it really gave me a big chuckle! F.L. I am a midlevel provider (Physician Assistant) so I have been on both sides of that desk, stool etc so I understand where you're coming from, some PCP's are just in too much of a hurry or distracted to notice the things that can be so important to their patients. I guess they forget that what we say is not always ignored, some of our patients really are listening and trying hard to comply with our recommendations. I hope I've always been mindful of this as a provider, especially during my time in primary care and hopefully never insulted anyone like that!! I work in surgery now so it's a whole other ballgame now... Anyways, hopefully you'll hear about your cholesterol #'s soon and they'll be great. In the meantime, keep up the great work!!!!!!
Karen...stop it...you are giving me way too much credit.
But if ever I have to have surgery, and end up in your hospital under your care...even though I am knocked out...please make a comment on how good I look after joining MRC. I know you will.
I guess it's funny, because last year, he mentioned my weight and said I really need to be doing something about it....ok...I did Dr....duh!!!! But no...all I get is "it's time you have a colonoscopy"....Gee...what will it be next year??? I should tell him I have a problem having to go to the bathroom 20+ times a day and through the night...maybe he could insert a catheter then!!!
