  • Me too, Skinny! It was a bunch of things on one dish that you could mix together. Mine was yummy chicken over fresh veggies with a side dishes of black beans, pickled veggies and a pile of spices to dip everything in. I love love meals where you can mix things together. I just ordered bento boxes so I can learn to make low cal Japanese lunches of mini dishes
  • Hey girlies. Looks like everyone's doing pretty good!

    Well, after my indulgences at my friend's wedding and all the festivities last weekend, I was ready to start going at it at the start of the week. And of course Monday I got sick! I had a fever Monday and Tuesday, and my throat has been bothering me ever since. Stuffy nose and coughing as well. So I haven't really exercised at all this week. Fridays are my normal days off of exercising, so Saturday I'll jump right back in rather than wait until Monday. To top it all off, I've been eating like crap all week, so I stepped on the scale this morning and it looks like I'm holding on to some water weight. But I'll still post my official weight tomorrow when I weigh myself again for the week. It won't be pretty....but I need to stay accountable, right?

    I feel like I'll NEVER get out of the 150s! I remember telling myself I would die if I ever got above 150...and now I'm just trying to get in the low 150s. This sucks. I hope you're all having better luck.

    Oh and P.S....my friends posted a couple pictures from the wedding on FB. Let's just say I've been in some HUGE denial
  • I'm up by one ounce to 153.3. I'm on my period so I tend to gain or maintain during and then drop a lot after. Hopefully this will be the case this time. I really wanted to be 150 by next Friday, but I don't think that's realistic at this point. Hopefully I'll be 150 by 9/25. Wish me luck!

    I was back to pre-trip weight within three days, which means that I maintained on vacation (since I was bloated from air travel/sodium on my return). Yeah that

    Otherwise, I'm just trying to shake the congestion from the cold I picked up. Hope to see a loss again by the end of next week.

    Oh! And I fit in some cute grey denim size 8s at Old Navy. Old Navy runs small, in my experience, so it's nice to know that I'm a small size 8 now

    maybe you have hit one of your natural set points?

    OR

    maybe you should count the rest of your fast as a pause in your weight loss and stop weighing until it's over? i would imagine it's really difficult to lose weight and fast. the fasting is slowing your metabolism.

    EITHER WAY.

    You have lost over 50 lbs. That is AMAZING. You are going to make your goal.
  • hey ladies, everyone seems like they're doing great.

    beautiful - you have to just let your body deal while you are fasting, then gt back on your regular routine after. your body is probably so confused right now, and is holding on to every calorie it gets!

    i haven't been working on weight loss recently. just got news friday that an old friend was hit and killed by a train, and my grandma passed away this morning after a long week, so needless to say, i've just been dealing with my emotions right now, and not the physical...
  • I have had the worst 2 weeks for weight loss!!!
    I am always good during the weeks but the weekends kill me.. Two weekends ago a wedding way out of town so eating out for 4 days, this weekend another trip out of town for a football game.. Between drinking and eating poorly.. I dont know If I will ever get into the 150's for good.. I saw 149.8 on Thursday of last week.. On Monday my official weight in day I was at 150.6.. Not bad but not good.. The next two weekends I am definately not drinking...

  • Been MIA. Sorry about that! But I'm still going at it! Was a little depressed at the end of last week...I weighed in at 160.3! NOT good! But today I'm at 155.2. I guess with all the bad eating last week and no exercise I deserved it.

    But now I'm back on track, and it's all thanks to a new book I found...It's called the Body Type Diet (by Elliot Abravanel). This book just makes PERFECT sense, it's like a light bulb turned on! SERIOUSLY! I can't believe it isn't more popular than it is. Though, seeing as it originally came out in the 80s, and a new version came out in '99, I guess I understand why it's not as popular. And I admit a lot of the stuff is a little outdated, but I'm tweaking some things to make it a little more workable for me - just keeping the basics. Has anyone heard of it? The reviews on Amazon are all great (except for like 2 or 3). I definitely recommend it.

    150.3 this morning! I'm so happy about the 3-pound drop from last week's weigh-in that I don't even care about not meeting my goal (150 by 9/18)!
