  • Thank goodness someone else is moving to Level 3. I quit on L3D5. I might start again now that I have someone to commiserate with.

I'll be right there with you on Sunday. I finish level 2 tomorrow and then I'll take a rest day Saturday. I'm excited to start a new level. I tend to start getting bored around day 7 but I'm making sure I do 10 days on each.
  • So I have done it - I have finally ordered the DVD

Does it explain how it all works on it? And is it literally 30 days straight or must rest days be taken?

Really excited to start this and add it in with my kettle bell training. So will see how I get on.

Good for you. I was a procrastinator on this one too and was a little intimidated but so I glad I ended up ordering it. A lot of people do it for 30 days straight (each level for 10 days). I read something from a podcast that Jillian did that said it was not really meant to be done for 30 days straight as the body needs rest. I decided that my body definitely needs some recovery time so I'm doing a rest day every 5 days (Level 1 for 5 days, rest, Level 1 for 5 more days, rest, Level 2 for 5 days, etc). I recommend doing what works for you and your body and most importantly listening to your body if you need a break. Even though the workouts are short, they are intense!
  • Level 2 day 10 done! Rest day tomorrow then on to level 3!! I'll post measurement progress later.
  • Here's the verdict on inches and pounds lost so far during 30 Day Shred:

This is from my start day to completing level 2.

    Weight: down 5 lbs
    Left Arm: up 0.25 inches
    Right Arm: minimal change
    Bust: down 1 inch
    Waist: down 1 inch
Gut (the biggest section of my tummy area): down 2 inches (Woo Hoo)
    Hips: down 1 inch
    Left thigh: down 1/2 inch
    Right thigh: down 1/4 inch
  • Wow,bunnabear, that's incredible.

    5lbs and 5".

Thanks! It's funny how you don't feel like your body is changing that much but I guess the numbers don't lie. And I guess my clothes certainly fit better or in some cases are probably too loose. The change sort of sneaks up on you in a weird way. Today is rest day but I will do Zumba since it's also cheat day and I refuse to have a calorie surplus. On to Level 3 tomorrow - I'm excited and nervous!
  • L3D1 done. So I was feeling pretty good at the end of level 2 but boy did level 3 knock me down a peg. Holy Cow! I was exhausted and sucking wind by the end. I dropped back to my 5 lb weights and I had to modify 2 moves (the walking push up thing where you alternate which arm is out to the side and the 2nd round of the row/leg raise in the plank position). I got through all of the plyo moves but not without feeling like I was going to get a return visit from breakfast. I hope this gets easier!
  • Bunnabear. Check out my posts #223 & 226. Level 3 is kee-ray-zee.

You can do it. I will do it with you!
  • L2D7 done yesterday. To be honest, I don't feel like I've improved very much on level 2. I still do the modified versions of most moves and still find them pretty hard. I don't think I'll be ready for level 3 in three days, so maybe I'll stick with L2 a bit longer (although I hate it!).
  • Started L2 on saturday. And did it yesterday too, but had some trouble with all the plank moves, my neck/shoulder area doesn't like it at all. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?
  • I'm on Level 1 day 6. I take sat and sun off from Jillian but also do 5 days of Zumba, a 2 mile walk five times a week, and a long hike on Saturday. It is getting easier to me. I'll never be able to do a push up though.

I definitely need a buddy. It would be so easy for me to drop this here and move on to something else but I'm DETERMINED to finish what I started. I did Day 2 of Level 3 today and it was a struggle. I wasn't quite as winded today but I was a little sore from yesterday so I had to push through when I didn't want to.
