Congrats to all those who made 100 days or close to it!!!
  • Hi y'all, Im back from vac. unlike iaradajnos i feasted on my vacation. but I am ready to get back on track and will start tomorrow.

congrats to env for being on day 98--you are doing it!!

congrats to iardajnos for doing so well--you have really changed your behaviors.

    congrats to tyla--day 12 now?
  • Welcome back, Snowbrocade! Did you do anything fun on your vac?

I'm proud to say it's 14 days today. Can't wait for the Sept. 19 challenge.
  • Day 15
  • Day 4 for me. I haven't started plugging in my calories in to CalorieCount (which used to make me super happy) because I'm waiting for some success. I am 100% on plan but still leary of optimism as I tried so hard over the summer without success. I'm hoping the break I took during vacation will help with a jump start. I'm also looking to keep it simple and low key. If I still have no success, then I'll follow some of the advice provided previously by friendly 3fc folks. I get lots of satisfaction with my four square meals and outdoor exercising. It'd be disappointing to have to switch but totally not the end of the world.

    Here's hoping...
  • I made it to 100 days on Labor Day. I am looking forward to restarting for the 100 days 'till Christmas countdown.
  • Day 16
  • Day 5.

Today's our 11-hour workday (with Friday as only 4 hours). I ate my everyday's-the-same breakfast--homemade breadpudding (400 cals). For lunch was a new homemade salad: 1/3 c diced jicama, 1/3 c diced frozen peaches, 1/2 diced fresh rhubarb, and 1/4 c sunflower seeds with a dark chocolate calcium candy (280 cals). For second lunch, a veggie burger topped with alfalfa sprouts and "veggie shreds" accompanied by cherry tomatoes on the side (270 cals). For snack, a chocolate graham cracker (80 cals). For dinner, a veggie cutlet, baked potatoe, a large portobello mushroom (350 cals). For snack, a skinny cow truffle bar (100 cals).
  • Day 17 TGIF!
  • getting on track
    Hi all~!

I am working on getting back on track--so far just eating less--which is good!

Vacation was fun, did some shopping and went to the fair. mostly just hung out with my folks getting caught up.

My achilles tendonitis is really flaring up again--I may have to go back and see my podiatrist. It makes it so I cant do my usual walking.

Env: congrats on 100 days!! you and iardajnos are my heroes. the christmas countdown starts on the 16th.

iardagnos: I thought you did lose some weight?

tyla: congrats and keep it up!!

    sno
  • Sno, so glad to hear your vacation was a hit! Sorry about your tendonitis. I hope you feel better soon.

As for me, this is day 18 Looking forward to Sept.16 new challenge.
  • I'm going to start this tomorrow! 100 days to go!
  • I was already in this challenge but sadly I went off plan (badly). So I guess I can start again. Starting today: 9/10/11. I want to lose 50 lbs Hopefully I can do it.

  • Envelope: your photo is awesome. I think that's a new picture you're sharing? It's great. I love my little "knit graffetti" tree but thinking of putting my photo up too.

    Welcomes to omgzitsmiranda and californiadreamer.

Tyla: what challenge starts on Sept 16?

Sno: I really hope the tendonitis calms down. My office walk friend, then me then my husband all had tendonitis and plantar fasciitis last year. I started hearing about so many colleagues, friends, family who had it. I wasn't sure if it was that phen phenomenon where you see/hear that new word you just learned or if it really was an epidemic epodemic among early 40 year olds. I ended up biking all my errands to calm my foot down (don't know if it helped--really--but I saw the fastest results from my circle). Maybe you can swim, bike, or something?

I'm still on track but was worried I'd gone too over yesterday. I forgot that I ate a very low cal salad early on--thought I had eaten a whole meal. The day wasn't the best because I've lost my pre-vacation goal to fix all meals from home. I had to work an outdoor event for my work but didn't pack anything. I was SO hungry I rushed to my favorite Chinese restaurant and ate a 800 cal "tofu general gao" meal (no rice but lots of side broccoli). I then ate something later. Anyway, I'm still on track but not the best success.

Sno, I still am too scared to weigh in. I'm watching some new vacation clothes to see if I'm thinner then going to weigh in. I know I may be just too old or too close to a healthy BMI to lose more than a couple pounds a month--if that--but I don't want to binge with disappointment. I didn't react that way this summer but I know my sister has struggled with her last 10 (now 15 pounds) because she can't lose the weight with any speed.
  • Thanks iaradajnos!!

    I'm on day 2.
