Never thought of baking meatballs,
Morning Glory! Good idea - letting them drain thru would help. I never realized that there's a leaner ground turkey, too. I saw it in my calorie counter book.
The brand I bought was frozen in a tube like sausage so there was only one choice. Do you think there's a big taste difference between that and the fresh turkey at the meat counter? (Of course, I'd freeze it as soon as I get home anyway.)
We liked the meatloaf - a lot. I liked it better than ground beef. I also liked it better in spaghetti sauce. If my body wants to put on fat - it's going to have to make it from carbos and protein - I'm not giving it a free ride anymore.
The meatballs last night were delicious - not the same as we're used to, but smooth and tasty and a real treat. Saved half of the meatloaf and meatballs for another night, too. I *love* doing that!

Saved calories AND work.
I've been freezing half a pound of pasta every time I cook it - we used to eat it all - now I have a ziploc bag with another double serving for dinner - all I do is thaw a little and nuke it and it's ready for sauce.
Gigglez! You were right - today the aching in the calves and heels was gone when I got up. I did 8 miles since last Monday! BoxerBob did the last four miles with me and we're going to try to do a mile at night when he gets home from work. I think the 2 mile is too much for me to do every day so I'm starting to rotate the 1 and 2 mile tapes day to day. I'll try to get a mile in sometime during the day while he's at work - then we can do the two on the weekends together. (I'm still shocked he's getting into it!)
Hi everybody! Wassup today?
