I'm good with that plan. Hubbie in upstate ny and I am having my bro and sil here for kid friendly dinner-- so I control that

no big parties or nights out on the town ...

still, I can always come up with that excuse---- nice to go into a weekend armed!!

I'm heading out to the farmers' market soon! Today is supposed to be gorgeous so there will be a dog walk and I WILL go for a wog - no excuses

Today's food plan -
Breakfast - cereal
Snack - fruit tbd
Lunch - Veggie dogs and a salad
Snack if needed - some walnuts
Dinner - pad thai with tofu

We wogged to the lake and back after dinner. 1.1 miles total. I would have liked to have done more but the kids were totally whipped by then. I suppose I could use the treadmill but I really hate running indoors. I don't go nearly as long or as fast and there isn't nearly as much fresh air.

I know Anna. NO. EXCUSES. I will do something today.

Food the last 4 days has been most excellent. I'll admit I stopped at TWO fast food restaurants yesterday. I got a veggie burger from BK and a small fry and frappe from McD's. There were also apple pies ordered but I stared at them for a long time then threw them out. Go me! 500 calories saved. I was only over by 125 calories yesterday and that was snacking on popcorn with the kids.

Today's menu
B-egg whites and toast, water
L-fruit and salad, water
D-Caribbean red beans and rice, random veggie, water
S-almonds or popcorn, more water

Totally forgot about no excuses and threw myself into an after hours ice cream and pesto pasta fest.

Ran out the door to get to work this am and left vat of soup in fridge. Flock.

All is not lost, I can deal.

I haven't been to the store, I am still broccoli-less.

Today's exercise was to make it through lunch without killing my mother-in-law who spent the whole time talking about how much she just looooves ivory. Happy birthday you effing b.

It's probably best you didn't murder her. Do the prisons serve vegan?

What a twit. I'd have hit her, I do not have the same restraint as you.

I'd lobby for her. Or she could do a hunger strike - great weight loss plan

Kitty - Buck up buckaroo. I always over do it on pesto also!

OMG I was actually wishing my hot loving friends were at my house tonight. I made spicy sweet potato fries, spicy plantain fritters and the Jamaican Jerk Spiced Tempeh. It was effin delicious but super hot . Holy mama, I love spicy foods but hoo hah less cayenne next time! Good thing is my tongue is preventing me from eating any more .

I did good with the no excuses weekend, I'd have liked to exercise more but I at least did some. I'm going to TRY (not a promise by any means as I don't know what work is staring at me) to make the noon BodyFlow class. Then it'll be a doggie walk after work as roomie is out of town.

Wow. I did not know that people who liked ivory still felt OK saying it out loud. And for what? di1d0s?

Spot-on for exercise. Friday afternoon was spent moving 800 pounds of composted manure. Friday night was spent chasing Meara up and down the street as she learned to ride on two wheels. Saturday morning, Angie spent an hour giggling while she abused me. Then the Krav Maga class added another two hours of adrenaline and punching, kicking, wrestling. Then the food portion fell apart...

I was killer hungry after Krav, but we did not have our church dinner until 7, so I grazed my way through about 400 cals while making the kids' dinner. I should have come home, sat, eaten and had a small meal instead of the constant nibbling.

Ate normally at church.

For lunch, my parents brought Chinese, and I did well with that BUT (and this is just dumb), the restaurant threw in these fried biscuits covered in sugar and I ate one. Holy crap, it was amazing. Then I went out and walked for 45 minutes, but I ate ANOTHER one this evening after dinner. And dinner was just stupid. Homemade guac? YES! with corn chips instead of veggies? DUMB!

thanks for asking about the soreness. Yes, I am having another round today after the Krav class and the crazy session with Angie yesterday. But I do not feel debilitated this time.

Hiya, Senoritas.

Heather, do you workout at a Bodyplex?
Anna - those fried biscuits are evil!

After a weekend of indulgence, I'm officially back on plan today. I'm not making any more excuses. I had my lightbulb moment when I was shopping for clothes and I realized that I was in the same exact place in my journey as I was this time last year. This can not continue. I feel and look like crap. So, here we go again. I'm nervous about digging into the reasons for my emotional eating, but I'm up for the challenge.

Today, I begin calorie counting and at least 1 hour of workout a day.

Breakfast: Steel cut oats, 1 cup skim milk
Snack: Apple and 2tbs PB, 1 cup skim milk
Lunch: Lean Cuisine: Butternut Squash Ravioli
Snack: Yogurt
Dinner: Veggie coconut curry with quinoa
Snack: WW chocolate cake

Have a great on-plan day.

I'm caught up, woohoo!

Weekend was eh ok food and workout wise. I've been off exercise for over a week and am having a tough time getting back to it. I should know by now that any time I take an extended break it's hard to get back on track. I don't know why I do it something is seriously wrong with me. Anyway, today is a new day so back on the treadmill.

We went out Saturday to my cousin's place to meet their new baby. OMG she is so cute and tiny. I held her for few minutes but I was afraid to break her . Really cute. It ended up being a mini family get together as well. Food was delicious and I ate more than I should have . Gah! I still haven't learned.

Oh taking the edible arrangements to my cousin's place was a hit. Everyone loved it and fruit was really good. We'd added some chocolate/cinnamon covered granny smith apples and they were amazing.

Have a wonderful OP day everyone

Mindless nibbling may be the death of me. I couldn't imagine how bad it would be if I had to cook for others all the time also.

I have no clue what a Bodyplex is? I go to the YMCAs around here.

Glad you got to see the baby Anj!

Well I was rewarded with a 1.6lb loss from last Monday. I didn't have the best week last week but I did log my food every day even when I went over, I did drink my water, I did kick the soda habit again and I did exercise some. I've also stopped being so damn obssessed with the scale. I don't have an overwhelming need to weigh everyday and that's a good thing.

Today's Plan:
breakfast - frittata and coffee
lunch - veggie burger and stirfried veggies
dinner - pasta and veggies
snacks- fruit, maybe some nuts

Today is Day 8, yay, I made it past the 7 day mark!

Today's plan:
Run: ~6.5 miles done.
Food:
Coffee
Boca burger, big salad, fruit
Black bean tostada with shredded squash and other stuff on top

I am re-reading the book Refuse to Regain (about how to maintain your weightloss long-term, something I clearly suck at) and came across this section.

Quote:
In terms of degree of challenge, how does maintenance stack up?

Task / Percent who successfully complete task
----------------------------------------------
Getting thru marine boot camp / 85%
Finishing law school once accepted / 90%
Marathon starters who finish race / 82%
Getting accepted to medical school / 37%
Successfully buying a home / 70%
Successfully get to top of Mt. Everest / 20%
Maintaining a significant weight loss / 20%
Scary, right?
