I know...isn't that amazing? It gets even more amazing as time goes on. I've lost the equivalent of 2 1/2 50# bags of topsoil. I can't even pick up a 50# bag of topsoil!! How the heck did I carry that weight around on me??

I like the visual image of these weight equivalents: first a # or 2 of butter, then a sack of flour, then a big bag of dog food, etc. Makes you kind of feel bad for your poor bones carrying around all that weight!

Everyone is doing so great with their losses! And hello to all the newbies!

Brooke, Get a scale!! The palm measuring way does NOT work! You'll be amazed how much 6 ounces of chicken is.

Hope - Jeez chickie - 8 pounds??? Wowwww!!! LOL love your last few posts! That's something I would do!

Someone was upset about "only" losing 10 pounds. Ahhhhh....you impatient girl! Losing more slowly (if you call 10 pounds in 3 weeks slow) is good because your skin will sag less. Now I would like very much to lose like sweetP, our resident FAST loser, but I guess my body will release the weight when it's good and ready. I'll be happy with 3 pounds a week. We'll see.

Flo, What's going on with the BF?

Hello everyone!
Well I finally got the cold. At least I don't have to dread it anymore. Yeah, I have that. I'm working on getting all my meals in and that's it. My husband told me it was my night to cook and I cried. Yup. Then he cooked. I have no pride and I don't care. Okay, that cottage cheese thingee looked way nasty, but I gotta try it when I feel better. One of my favorite easy dinners is spinach, cottage cheese, and chicken nuked for 4 minutes. The amount of cottage cheese and chicken depends on my mood. It's deceptively good!

I hope this post makes sense....

I'm going back to bed,
Michelle

Poor Michelle! What ever works! I can see you on the couch in misery.

I got stuck out shopping with my daughter and didn't take any food. So, no water in today and only 3 MF and it's after 7 pm. I walked in and DH asked me to walk the dog. I did not cry but I said I had to eat! Now!!

I just bought a scale, threw it together and tossed chicken on it. You are right! I have been eating about 1/2 of the lean allowed.

I took 5 ounces of chicken breast that I had cooked and ready, 1 T of low fat cottage cheese and 1/2 T of low spaghetti sauce and heated it. It's good but right now, anything would be good.

I just made a new thing, remember I am no cook. I took a pickle spear and wrapped it in thin sliced turkey. Yum!!

I am going to slam water and go to bed. I hope my no water didn't screw up the big weigh in tomorrow!

Also, I called MF. You can xchange the free week food but not the hot drinks that were on sale.

Default My Sunday Weigh In

I thought for sure today I was going to be in Onederland but to no avail. I lost 2 pounds last week. Maybe next week. I've noticed a pattern in my weight loss. From Monday to Wednesday I seem to lose weight, then from Thursday to Saturday, I actually gain a pound to a pound and a half back, then by Sunday morning I am losing again. I am not cheating or doing anything differently from the beginning so I figure it just be the way my body works. As long as I am on a decline every Sunday, I could careless what my scale says during the week but I find it a bit weird. Anyone else notice such a strange fluctuation?

Ok you caught me, I still weigh in everyday! I find it encouraging though, not in the least discouraging. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

Jen -

Mine disappeared until I had enough posts to be a member. I sent an email to the 3FCs but I didn't get a response. If you look at Hope's posts above, that's what it says...about 30 days.

I still weigh every day, too. It would be bad, except you do see the pattern. I'm losing a pound or so every 2-3 days. My husband told me that if you weigh every day what you're actually looking for is the overall downward trend if you were to graph it.

Why...yes he *is* a Math person.

Could you possibly PM me the link (or post it here if it is OK) for the recipe section? I have trouble getting into the MF site

Thanks so much

Kim,

I do love the downward trend. Even if I only lose .2lbs. a day, I look forward to seeing it.

(I do graph my weight progress too)

To bad about the sig and the wait. If you just had to post x amount of times that would be easy.

Anyone try any syrups they love??? We disliked all of the little Capella drops. Found SF Vanilla and
raspberry Torani and they are good. I am looking for SF Peppermint, that would be good in all of
the chocolate stuff.

I weight everyday too and it does fluctuate.

Today is my first official weigh in and I am down 5.5 lbs!

How does your time of the month effect your weight? Today is day 2 so would I be heavier or lighter on day 2? It would be cool if I can expect a bigger loss in a few days because of it.

I had sugar free gum in my mouth, took it out and 5 mins later my daughter handed me a stick of gum, said I needed it. That is not cool! So I bought a mouth spray. Maybe I should wear a sign, "Dieting in progress, stay back 10 feet"

Happy MFing Sunday everyone!

Once again congratulations to everyone on the great weight loss. Today is officially the start of week two for me. I am down 5.5pounds.

It is interesting all the talk of WW. I had never really given that much thought. I too did WW in the past and did well but I need the instant gratification of quick weight loss. I still have all of my literature so I guess I will be joining you all at some point.

Hope2b... great control I know work is the hardest for me everyone eats so much junk here. I am on Medifast with three other co-workers. Little by little as other people find out I am doing it the snide comments start. Why is it that people just can't be genuinely happy for you? Whatever I will make them really talk when I loose all of this weight.

Wow!!! TJJS, you and I weigh the same and started on the same date! Isn't that cool. We can really compare notes. I have to ask, did you eat everything you were supposed to? I didn't by accident so I think my calories dipped too low and that might not be good.

Good luck in week 2!

PS I lowered my goal to 155 but it was and in my head is really 175, that would be great!

Edited... I just read part of your blog. My daughter is getting married in one year and my daughter's best friend in July. My daughter has to fit into a size 16 J Crew bridesmaid dress and she is a size 20!!! So, we started MF together. We have a lot in common! The common thread is FEAR of weddings and dresses lol

I've read that water can fill up emptying fat cells temporarily after a loss, then once more calories are burned, it drops off

Maybe that is why fat can get more "jiggly" or "squishy" during the weight loss process also.

I have noticed the same weirdness happens to me with my weight too!

brooke... I have only had 5 mf meals once maybe twice. Not because I am trying not to but I am a nurse and sometimes I get busy at work and can't get a "meal" in or in time. For some reason I am really struggling with the water. This never used to be an issue for me I don't know what is going on. I am just making sure that I get atleast 64oz in a day but I read somewhere that you should have half your weight in ounces a day so I am way off.
As far as the wedding goes I wasn't this crazy about losing weight for my own wedding so I don't know what is making me so crazy about this one... lol.
Good luck to you and your daughter with your weight loss and hopefully we can motivate each other. I need all of the help I can get....lol.
