Hi SusanB. I suspect too she is jealous. If you have to work with her again, can you come up with one or two simple, short phrases you can say over and over again whenever she says something pertaining to your weight or eating? Something that doesnt really answer her comment and is sort of ambiguous and non-mean or angry sounding that will make her tire of commenting without getting a reply. Something like 'thank you for your concern.' or 'Thank you for sharing'. and then change the subject. then when/if she says the next thing, repeat it yet again.
Tomorrow I am spending Thanksgiving at very good friends' house here in town. The Mom, a good friend for over 30 years, has strong anorexic tendencies. She loves to cook and makes wonderful stuff, but that is how she gets her pleasure from food. She hardly eats any of it herself. No one overeats in that home. Although I've had my Turkey dinner strategy in place for several years, in the past that used to bug me. I felt mildly uncomfortable not eating as much I might have liked of my chosen foods. I ate enough, I just wanted all my options open, not that anyone would have objected to my eating more. "Look at the fat woman eat" was in my mind however. This year I am welcoming it. And eating patterns continue to evolve.
Have a very nice Thanksgiving everyone, Jan

I hope we all enjoy a lovely, moderate dinner - focusing on family and friends - and are right back here tomorrow!
(stoooopid boys why do they have to pick on MY D ) ... Anyways, I wanted to meet these boys because she likes them all so much and claims she has more fun with them than her g/f's sometimes. So, once a week or so they walk to one of the boy's grandmother for grilled cheese sandwiches... I thought
, why not reciprocate by having them over here on one of my days off... I had run it by D a couple of weeks ago, she liked the idea and she asked for me to make pancakes for them today on my day off... I made pancakes for 2 hours before they arrived. They had a blast and enjoyed every pancake they ate! It also calmed my some of my fears about them... They were ALL cute, nice, polite and very friendly... I enjoyed it too... BTW I only had the equivalent of 1/4 of a large pancake, while I was making them...
... I'm proud of that, In the old days I would have eaten at least 3 large ones, with real syrup!!!
