Deficit of 766 yesterday.

Went to see my trainer at the gym this morning, it's been 5 months since my last visit. I've lost another 2.5% in body fat since end of January, 3 inches of my chest, 2 inches off my hips, 1 inch off my waist and various halves and quarters of an inch off various other parts of my body. I'm happy to say the least. My BMR is also up from 1503 to 1508 which means I am burning more calories now when I am resting!

My trainer has also devised new exercises for me to do when I circuit train. Let's just say "ugh" and "welcome to some sore muscles for a while" lol.

I have had such a busy weekend so far! Got friends coming over today, the husband is helping my husband put up a goat pen because our little family of four needs more room. The wife and I are going shopping then back to the house for nibbles then eventually I'm making dinner. So yesterday was a frenzy of cleaning, laundry and grocery shopping then in the evening I weeded half our vegetable garden. It's a wonder I can walk today!

I haven't counted either, oops . I ate good though all weekend so far and drank water plus with all the exercise I got yesterday there is bound to have been a deficit.

Got to go, last minute vacuuming to do before we leave for breakfast.

Hope everyone is doing great, have a good Sunday!

Donna - thanks again Congrats on your deficits too! 755 is great with no cardio.

Hi, I am new and would like to get back to counting calories. I have been on the 3 Hour Diet with little success and the site here has slowed down to very little support....so I am ready to switch back and lose some weight.

What are the things I need to do to be part of this group? I see Fitday so I will go sign up there to get started. I am going to try for 1400 cal/day and exercise 30 min. 4x's a week. I am going to be the grandmother of this group I believe at 61....I live in Florida and have just retired a month ago.

Thanks for your help and I hope to get to know you all.

Phyllis

Nope Phyllis, you don't have to do any thing special. We just try to burn more calories than we eat and we try to help each other do that. So, you are most certainly welcome!

Hey all - I am a calorie counter, too!! I bought an account on www.myfooddiary.com after doing www.fitday.com for a couple of weeks. I need the online accountability - one night I almost cried when I put everything I ate in there because I lost control and just ate ate ate. I will give myself credit for actually logging it , becuase a large part of me just wanted to ignore the binge and start over the next day. But I figured if I actually added it up it might stop me from doing it again.
My biggest problem is when I cook meals for my family I don't really know how many calories, fat, ect are in there because I usually just cook on "instinct".
Also, how much water do you guys take in everyday?
THANKS guys!

Hi Appoline, I measure everything out when I cook then I look up the calorie content. Most food packages list the nutrient content or you can visit internet sites like calorieking or fitday to find out.

It's fiddly at first and can be a pita especially when making a dish with lots of ingredients but if you want to be sure you know what you are eating, it's the best way imo.

Hi Everyone ~~~ I had posted on the other thread not realizing that you changed to a new one for June. I have been off track this whole week because of migraines, stress and my mom being back in the hospital. I'm starting over tomorrow counting my calories, doing my WATP and getting back on track. Do all of you find Fitday easy to use? I still have an account there that I signed up for awhile ago, but I haven't totally figured it out yet. Have a great day!
