Went KICKBOXING last night! Managed to smack the guy who broke my toe! Got him well and truly in the kisser! Then the instructor came over and said, "Keep your guard up John!"

40 minutes of hard hills (walking) this morning, making it even harder by adding speed intervals in during the hill programme. Nasty!

I did 20 minutes on level 20 on the treadmill, 10 minutes stepper, and 10 minutes on cross trainer, and swum 30 lengths, popped into the gym at lunch and did treadmill and cross trainer

I've done my weights this morning, the gym boys have moved all the machines. Typical men have put things in the daftest places, like the ab roller thingies right next to the ladies toilets. If you lie down your head is 4 cm from the door!!!! Stupid!!!! I couldn't find the lat pull down machine, it's been stuck in the middle of the room in a circle with three other machines. I hope its only temporary!!!

Anyways, I upped all my upper body weights today, so I feel very virtuous, and I swum for fourty minutes to cool down after that. Cute gym instructor is on day off, and all the regulars were away, so it was very quiet and boring in the gym today

25 laps of the pool earlier in the week, and 20 laps of the pool today. Aiming this month to also do some work on the treadmill and cross trainer!

I ran intervals for the first time today - ended up covering 6km in under 36 minutes which is easily my fastest time for that distance, by doing 5 minutes at normal speed, 1 minute fast and repeating 6 times. I then carried on on the treadmill and did 20 minutes of walking hill intervals (4 minutes hard, 1 minute dropping down to the level before and so on up to the hardest level) to "cool down" plus a bit of proper cool down to get to 68 minutes and 9.5k in total.

YP you rock! I need to start on my sprinting practice!

Did 2 Kickboxing classes last night. Was exhausted to start with - now I can barely move! Really pushed myself hard! The instructor kept saying well done, you worked really hard, well done for both classes. I'm thinking, "Well it'd be a bit of a waste of money if I turned up and DIDN'T get sweaty!"

Today I did 40 minutes of hills on level 20 (fast-ish walking). I'm really proud of that because I was so tempted to do nothing at all because of horrible period pain cramps that kept on coming and going throughout the day. But hey, it didn't hurt any more walking than it did sitting down, so why not...

Nothing yesterday or the day before! I gave myself a break because I've been ill. But I feel better today so I'm going to lift weights and go for a 40 minute walk later.

Over an hour on the treadmill today. I was doing really well with a fastish run up to about 23 minutes (just under 4k) when I nudged the emergency stop. I find it hard to restart once I've stopped, so I then did 10 minutes walking level 20 hills, 20 minutes jogging level 5 hills and another 10 minutes walking level 20 hills to take it to just over an hour and somewhere between 8 and 9k.

Then some ball exercises.
