Wow...thank you all of you for your great welcomes! Beachgal...thank you for the compliment. Just reading all these responses pumps me up even more!!! Barb...your details of what you ate helps me ALOT. Thanks! I've read the book and I actually skim through it ALL the time just to burn it into my brain. Okay...I have a question...I'm on day 3 of phase I and just started that T.O.M. today. Do I just stick to the diet but not expect the scale to show any weight loss? I don't want to get discouraged again. Have a great day all!!!!

In my case, I still continued to lose during my first TOM in the middle of Phase 1 (but I only lost 4 pounds during Phase 1). This TOM, I actually gained a half pound and haven't lost it yet. I keep following the plan and keep exercising (this time, I didn't exercise during Phase 1).

Exercise....UGH!!! That's my BIG downfall. After getting home from work and dealing w/my three kids I am dead tired!!! Do you know of anybody on the board that has lost a SIGNIFICANT amount of weight on SBD? Like 30 or more pounds?

I wasn't exercising at all before Phase 2. I kept saying I didn't have time but I have found that it is possible to squeeze in 30 minutes a day. I do it first thing when I get home from work unless dinner will cook for over 30 minutes and then I throw dinner in the oven and let it cook while I walk on the treadmill. Otherwise I walk and then cook dinner. My husband has been picking up our son from day care a little later so they get home about the time that I get off the treadmill.

Laurie announced earlier today that she has lost 46 pounds. That is great! I think there are others too. The ones who have the most to lose are the ones that lose the fastest. I'm more concerned with being able to lose at a healthy rate so I can keep it off than I am about how fast I lose.

That works out perfect for you...your husband and son getting home right when you're done. Well, last night my daughter (she's 14) asked to use the treadmill so I told her tonight I would pull it out and set it up so maybe I can jump on it for 30 minutes or so. Actually...not maybe....I AM. You know how they say that you lose between 7 and 10 lbs. the first two weeks? I just don't want to stick to this and go at it gung ho and not lose again. That REALLY discourages me into wanting to switch to something different except that I really like this diet (the foods you can eat). It's 10:30 where I am (Los Angeles, CA) and so far I've had a cup of coffee w/Splenda and ff vanilla flavored cream and then I just finished two poached eggs, 3 slices of turkey bacon and a cup of decaf the the same sweeteners. What have you had so far?

Actually my husband is out of work so he could pick up our son anytime. He COULD even watch him so we don't pay for day care but our son really likes the summer activities.

I'm in Central time. Remember I am in Phase 2 so my choices are different than yours.

Breakfast - SF FF vanilla yogurt with a glass of Metamucil
Snack - ham and cheese rollup
Lunch - leftover taco bake on a toasted whole wheat tortilla with avocado salsa on it. Also a little bit of leftover vegetarian chili.

Later I will have raw cauliflower for a snack. Dinner is ham jambalaya from my Louisiana Light cookbook. Recipe is SBD as it is written. I will serve it over basmati rice (Phase 2).

My sister sent me this really good cookbook. http://home.comcast.net/~flagirl1217/
That's right...I forgot you were in phase II. And you've been on this since 5/22 right? And how much have you lost up until now?

I've lost 10 pounds since 5/22 on this diet. I'm a slow loser and I don't let it worry me. Thanks for sending the link. The recipe file looks good. I'll save it off and take a look later,

Thank you Peggy. So, how much have you lost on SBD so far? I'm a little confused on how to read the weight/weight/weight
