Hi Valentiners,
Saskie, I've tried every WW program there has been including the one in the 1960's that made me eat liver twice a week and no bread after twelve noon! In any case, I love the flexpoints WW plan. It seems to be the discipline I need (whoa--I've already used 8 flexpoints, do I really need that ------whatever) and the flexability I crave (hey, I can have that-----in a small amount because that's what flexpoints are for).
So for me this plan is the best. I aim to hit my target points (26) daily, exercise 4-5 days a week and don't eat those activity points, and use flexpoints when it seems right. This week I ate a lot of flexpoints and still lost 1.2# which is great for me at my age.
Congrats to all of us during this Valentine's Challenge. What day did we start? I've lost four pounds since 1/6 and aim to lose at least two more by Valentine's Day to meet my personal challenge.
I'm really up for this.

Love,
Judy

Way to go Judy, you deserve a At the end of January I'm going to get a bravo because I've exercised everyday.
I weighed this morning (had to peek ) and I'm the same. Which is good as I've had all my FP and some of my AP. I didn't count points yesterday but I think I was on target. I counted before supper and had 14 left to go. So I think I'm okay.
Well, have a good afternoon,
Diana

Tara, we must be having the same weather. It's -41 right now, and I have no idea what the wind chill is. Brrrrrrrr......I am absolutely not leaving the house until it warms up at least 10 degrees. Freese the fat off. Boy, I'd be skinny living where I do, and then of course I would freeze to death as I'd have no insulation

Okay, I'm not the weather channel, but I do have to update you. It was -47C this morning, it's been very many years since I've seen it that could. In fact, I don't remember it ever being that cold
I've exercised today, and I'm nervous about tomorrow mornings weigh in. I'll be down, but not by much.
Way to go on the Curves, Christie. What kind of workout do you do there?

Hi Diana
Curves is a all women workout place where you go in a circle of different weight machines and rest between each of them by slowly jogging or slow movement, it is to build muscle and in turn it will burn off this nasty fat
And I am with you on being nervous on weigh in tomorow night.....But good luck to each of us.....I know it will turn out ok

Christian- I am glad you are enjoying Curves so much- it seems to be a good workout for a lot of people! I am excited to see how it works for you!
Diana- This weather is freaking ridiculous! Tomorrow will be 3 days that the buses have not ran for school this week. Since Friday is my last day of school, I hope I will at least have my students that day!!! Are the schools in your area still functioning?
Good luck to both of you on your weigh ins!! My first one will be Tuesday. I am dreading it, but looking forward to the one a week after! I know that I have to go, no matter what. I will still weigh more than I want to, even if I don't go get on the scale!!! And I won't work to get it off until I do go back to the meetings....so I will do it!
Do any of you have any silly eating rituals on your weigh in days? I used to, but I am going to try to stop them this time around!
Stay warm!

Hi Tara

Yes I have the weirdest eating habits on weigh in days!!!!
I eat an egg for breakfast and a green tea
then I have a low carb sandwich for lunch around 7 points
and more tea, then nothing until weigh in which is at 5:30 and then after I eat the rest of my points which is usually around 11 or so I know it is something I struggle with and the Hubby hates my behavior, I guess I should just relax and see what happens with you

Christie, Curves sounds great. We don't have any type of gym here ;(

Tara, it was -47 here this morning. Needless to say, no school, and yes that's the 3rd day in a row. I don't think there'll be any tomorrow as it's -41 already. Friday is a PD day so it's a good week for hte kids. Of course it's exam week, I'm glad I'm not a teacher. I haven't seen weather like this in 15 years or more. What was your weight in comparison to now the last time you were at WW? Will it be good news or bad? You're doing great on the VD challenge, you're down 6, that's a small baby. I see a lot of babies at my work, so I always think of weight in baby sizes crazy.

Christian, I'll have to see if I can buy green tea here. It seems as though it is one of your food staples.

Tara, I too have eating rituals, and they are not good. I try not to have too heavy of a supper meal the night before and then I have cereal in the morning and water with my medication, and then nothing till WW weigh in at 7pm. I don't eat all my points when I come home, because it's too late. I know it's really stupid, but I can't get out of the habit. I weigh on my own scale in the morning and that's the number's I use. I've had that scale so long that I've grown attached to it. I know what my high was on it and stuff. When I'm in the 160's I'll get a new one, and I know that I'll weigh more as mine is wrong. But it's part of the obsession.

O.k. Girls.........Still no weight loss. I am going to start measuring myself because I know I am tighter but it's been 3 weeks of exercising 5 days a week (all cardio) and eating good and no weight loss. I haven't noticed my clothes fitting better either. I know I still need to keep working out but how long does it take to see what you are working at??? Frusterating!!! I drink tons of water.

Green Tea question... I drink the Republic of Tea's bottled cold tea, would it be better to drink the hot tea??? So many people on here swear by it so I want to make sure that I am drinking the right stuff to make the most of it.....

Diana- I thought it was cold here -19 this morning...WOW...-47....

Hi golfergirl,
Don't get stressed, You know that you're better for it even though you don't see different numbers right but I can see how that would be frustrating. hmmmm.....what can we do that you will lose the weight that you're working so hard to lose? Are you eating all your points? How about AP and FP? Do you eat a lot of 0 point foods? Do you know how many calories you're eating? Maybe it's to little or too much. You could try counting calories for a week. I know that's not too fun though Okay ladies, do you have ideas for GG? Speaking of golfergirl, I assume you enjoy golf. Me too. This summer I golfed ONCE as I had the little one. My sister was kind enough to babysit This summer I will golf more as I can leave at a sitter easier.

Hi golfergirl

The green tea will work hot or cold, it basically just gets rid of any unwanted water weight Make sure it has no sugar though as it tends to be higher calorie.... now as far as not losing this week...I wouldnt sweat it, You are gaining muscle and it weighs more and in turn the scale will go down, since muscle burns fat

Diana- good luck at weigh in tonight
