Hey, Marina, so sorry to hear about your struggles! Do you think you need a weight loss 'break' for a while and go on maintenance? I've heard that it sometimes helps to relax a bit for a week - not go crazy, but to just maintain, let yourself eat a little more every day, so you don't have to be so focused. I haven't tried it but I'm going to let myself do it if I need to. Or is there something in your life right now triggering this?? I hope you feel better soon!

Checking in, still very much in the 170's One day 174 the next 177. Today it was 176. The good news though is that I bought three pairs of size 12 pants from good will and they fit! So while my weight seems to be at a stand still, my body is changing.

After 8 months in maintenance (not the original plan, but I'm proud of myself for not gaining any of the 45 pounds that I lost), I am back in the saddle!

177.8 today!

Grinchygirl, maintenance is a HUGE accomplishment! So many people (myself included) have gone off plan and then ended up gaining a lot of weight back. So CONGRATULATIONS for that amazing feat and welcome back!

Lotsakids, that's great about the jeans! Sometimes clothes are the best indicators of how we're really doing, I think! And I love thrift store shopping for jeans. I need to make another trip soon myself!

I'm just .4 away from the 160s! Woooooo! I guess there's a slight chance I might see it tomorrow, but then I've got a weekend trip away to visit friends with lots of meals out, so I'll be in maintenance mode myself then. Hope to at least see the 160s by next weekend.

I'm back in the 170s after a month long of daily binging. I was 179 this morning. Yesterday was 175. After I weighed in, I turned on my jillian DVD then I went for a walk/jog. I just can't let myself get back to the 180s again. I am bummed that I let myself get out of the 160s, I was there for a few weeks! And I felt GREAT. I wish I wouldn't do this to myself.

Rachelinala, I feel you, I can't tell you how many times I pass 185 over and over. It's the technical obese weight for my height. So it was disheartening to say goodbye to obesity and then return multiple times. It's good that you tackling the challenge again! You've got this!

176 today and I did a 5k this morning. Hopefully I can maintain my progress through thanksgiving break

I was stuck in the low 190s all spring/summer... Flew through the 180s in about a month, and now I've settled again at the mid 170s... My goal is to get through the holidays without gaining and then get back on the wagon.

I think my body likes to acclimate every once in awhile. It hangs out there a few months, then is ready to move on again.

See we haven't had any movement since before Thanksgiving, hope everyone has put it in the past and moved on. I got to 177 on Saturday after and have slowly dropped back to 174. Stayed on plan just ate too much of the plan!

Lol, lotsofkids, yeah I ate too much of the holiday plan too!

I'm back on track post-holiday, which is good news. I'd like to get out of this decade by Christmas. We will see

Oh, yeah...I had 4 days of really lousy eating Thanksgiving week (think all-day buffet at friend's house Thanksgiving day and didn't eat 'til after 5, THEN meals out EVERY SINGLE DAY/EVERY SINGLE MEAL for the next 3 days as we visited with friends and family), home 2 days, then hog-wild again for my birthday. So I haven't weighed since I got home. I'm actually thinking of putting myself in maintenance mode until January. Tons of holiday parties and travel coming up, every week for the next 3 weeks. My goal is to stay between 171 - 175 and then be ready to really get back to work when we return after Christmas. I think if I just stay moderate and allow myself an extra 200 calories a day, it will keep me from overeating. I'm committed to the gym daily no matter what!

Frances! That's a really good plan. I may join you in the maintenance efforts!

I've been staying at 174.8 for a week, so maybe I will just maintain. (It's finals season for me, so the stress eating is a problem. I'm doing okay, but still, gah!)

Wishing all of us good things this holiday season. I know I find the abundance of food distracting!
