  • Woohoo 177.4 this morning! I first hit 178 on 2/28 and this is my first new low since then. Whew it's been a long couple of months.

Even better, this morning when I went to get dressed for work, the two pairs of pants I put on while trying to figure out what to wear were noticeably much looser. It feels like I dropped an inch overnight. Which is awesome but also sucks. I had just gotten used to the idea of being at this size for a little while, and enjoying my current wardrobe. Oh well :P
  • Way to go, Noname!!! Hard to complain about shrinking out of your wardrobe, but I know what you mean. Do you think the weight stall was because you were adding muscle?

MauiKai you kept it under 180! That's great.

177.2 for me today. And through the magic of careful wardrobe selection, 178.6 on the doctor's scale today. That really felt good. We'll see how the bloodwork comes back, but overall everything went well.
  • I am 175, I haven't been under 170 in over 2 years!
  • Welcome Itsmytimenow150! Congrats on the progress.

    176.6 for me today!

My weight is finally moving down but today my doctor asked me to change diets. My bloodwork came back great except my cholesterol is up because I haven't been able to take my statin due to some other issues. Instead of putting me back on the statin he wants me to try the Mediterranean Diet. Ughhh. I have nothing against that diet it's just that I'm finally losing the weight and I'd like to stick with what I'm doing. He had no concerns yesterday when we reviewed it. Now today he says change. I'm going to need to think about this.

  • How did everyone do over the weekend? I have no idea what's going on because I'm still eating the same as always but my weight is dropping like crazy! I'm expecting a big bounce back up any day now.

I'm 174.6 today. HALFWAY TO GOAL!!!! Trying to work up the nerve to post pictures...
  • Chubabub - WOOHOO! Congrats on being halfway to goal! 40 pounds total is AWESOME! Let's hope it keeps going down. No self-fulfilling prophecies :P

Are you planning to make the changes to your diet the doctor suggested?

I have no idea how I did this weekend. We took a 3 day weekend to go camping and did a big hike on Saturday. I definitely ate and drank a lot but was very active, too. I'm still a tiny bit sore so I'm taking the number on the scale with a big grain of salt because I know it's still fluid retention.
  • 176 this morning. I am back at it after a bad start in 2015. I really want to work on exercising and toning up this flabby mess for summertime.

  • 174.1 for me today.

Thanks Noname!. For now I think I'm just going to incorporate some things from the diet he suggested, like eating more fish, but primarily stick with what I'm doing. It's really not a whole lot different. Have you recovered from the weekend? It sounds like quite a hike if you're sore! Didn't you just run a 5k? I'm working up to that.

Rachelinala Welcome! Your comment about toning up reminded me of when I was in college. The football team trainer worked in the gym over the summer and he was pretty demanding. At the first meeting he asked what your goal was and basically tore apart everyone ahead of me saying it wasn't specific enough. When he got to me I told him I wanted a body that stopped moving when I did. He just put his head down on the desk. I thought he was going to yell at me but then he sat up and said "Finally! Now that's a goal I can work with!"

MauiKai hang in there! Ever feel like your scale is just messing with you because it knows how badly you want to stay out of the 180s? At least you're seeing way more 17- numbers now. You'll get another woosh soon!
  • That is funny Chubabub. I would love to firm up!

173.8 this morning. I just started dieting again this week, low carb and walking a couple hours a day. I know it's water weight, but it feels good to see it go down.

    Goal #1 is 169.

  • I am about 177-178. I really slowed down the last couple weeks. However I went back to April 1 and realized I was down 6 pounds in the month which is pretty good for my 4th month of the new WOE.

    44 pounds total.
  • Three awesome posts in a row! Congrats to each of you. We're certainly starting May off right. Keep it up gang and let's blow through here and start looking for that 160's thread!
