Just wanted to chime back in- I did have a spoonful this morning no long run... and haven't had any urges to binge today! Coincidence? possibly... but hey- I love peanut butter so if having an occasional spoonful helps I'm all for it! :P maybe Ill keep trying this little experiment to rule out anything else...

I LOVE Peanut butter and just found the P2B this week as I was starting Phase 3 of IP. I thought ... well, I'll give it a shot and WOW it's fantastic!

I feel your pain. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is in my own best interest to never have cracker-like products or Kashi granola bars in my house. I don’t know what it is, maybe the crunchy texture or sugary cranberry goodness, but I can’t help but binge on them. I won’t hesitate to eat an entire box or all six bars in one sitting. I’ve tried to limit myself to one serving a day but that never works. Since I can’t behave in their presence I just don’t buy them.

In your case, like someone else suggested, maybe the roommate would be willing to hide it from you. It may still be in the house but at least it’s out of sight.

Best of luck!

I too have binged on PB with a spoon. I still get PB cravings, but like other people have said, I only have one spoonfull. In fact, I don't even do that. I usually just dip the teaspoon into the peanut butter and take it out --- and whatever stuck to the spoon I eat. (It turns out to be less than a teaspoon). I usually do this after dinner to give me a little taste of something sweet and salty. I find this to be satisfying. Could I easily sit down with the jar and knock off 1/4 of it? Sure. But I find that its enough just to experience that taste. I don't need the quantity.
