Whatever works...

Mine is peanut butter. I can keep one or two of those single serving packets around without any problems, but there's something about digging into a jar with a spoon that I find hard to resist. So yeah, I don't keep jars of peanut butter in the house.

I used to eat whole sleeves of saltines after waking up from a nap on the weekends. Don't know why, just a weird craving after sleeping. Also, I cannot EVER buy trail mix again, I'm a salty/sweet lover in one, and I can't eat just one or two servings of trail mix. ever. ever. ever.

Wow! I just realized how screwed I am! Every one of the things you all have listed work for me! It's a battle that some people don't understand.

Chocolate covered pretzels - like Flipz. If I buy a bag to keep at my desk it's gone in a day.

After thinking about it, I think my trigger is anything that tastes really good. I have a hard time having just *a* serving of anything that I like (pasta, chips (doritos especially), any kind of pastry, chocolate, ice cream, fries, and on and on). I'm hoping that will fade the longer I have healthy eating under my belt. I hate that out of control feeling, it's like a switch gets flipped.

Girl! I'd have eaten a garlic roll. You're so much stronger than me.
I'm not a huge cracker person because I usually go for something more decadent/calorie dense when I'm not eating healthy. I'm not going to waste the time and jaw power to devour a sleeve of crackers when I could be eating 10 cheese quesadillas or pizza rolls or something.
But the weirdest thing happened the other day. My fiancé likes ritz and got some and no prob because, like I said, I'm not a cracker person. Potato chips or cookies or something, totally, cheese, heck yes, but crackers? Meh.
However, I'd had a really good on plan day and I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep one night (night is when I get the urge to binge, binge, BINGE!) and I started thinking about how good a ritz cracker with butter spray and strawberry jam on it would be. And I could not stop thinking about it. Without even eating one I knew that I would totally binge on that, and probably eat a whole sleeve of ritz and half a jar of jam without blinking. I didn't get out of bed and eat it, though I did try it a couple of days later and it was delicious so I buried the ritz in the back of the pantry. Out of sight out of mind. So far it's worked.
