GUESS WHAT!!!! Today is day thirty on my ninety day plan, third of the way there. I would really have seen some progress if I wasn't eating all the wrong stuff. I'm like a bear coming out of hibernation, if it sits still long enough, I'm gonna eat it.

DNW: you still feeling down? You have been way, way to quiet. This is not your norm, what can we do to help?

Jello, when you refer to the *itch, I get this song in my head, Oh itchy woman (tune of Pretty Woman).

Sure has been getting quiet around here, where are all our girls? Anyone see the "Secrets of the YaYa Sisters"? That's the way I feel about us, we can share secrets and without shame or fear of being judged tell it like it isl. YaYa, anyone?

Plans are to go to Nashville Friday for the weekend. I miss my kids. Yougest son is going with us, first time for him to see their house.

Okay, when I come back.......let there be many posts. Love you guys!

Hi.
I've regressed. I think it's a "comfort" issue. Every day I tell myself "I will do better tomorrow"....then, I usually start out ok with breakfast...then...CRASH!BAM!BOOM! I've been here before, don't want to be here, must crawl out of this hole.

On the up side, the count down is on for the Toby Keith/Rascal Flatts concert this Saturday. Wish I was look'n good and could wear some cute outfit. Boy am I mad at myself. If I could, I would kick my butt. I guess my only alternative is to JUST LOOSE THE BLEEP'N WEIGHT!

DH brought home 4 boxes of girl scout cookies. FOUR! That's the second time in less than 2 months he's brought those evil things into the house. You'd think girl scouts could find a healthier way to raise money. Arent' they suppose to be teaching good things to these girls?!

Semo, you rock. Day thirty!

The dog is ring'n it's bell to go outside...

Default I'm OK....really

Semo: I am OK and pretty much sticking to my food program; just overwhelmed now with lots of work. Also the freakin' computer at home is just not responding to the fixes dear old DH is trying to work on it. Maybe if he took some of the crap he has on it, and deleted it...oh well!

I have officially entered old age: went to the diner with my husband last night around 10:15 PM when he got home from a meeting, and since I have been doing very well with my food I rewarded myself with some rice pudding. Well several hours of indigestion later I came to the conclusion that it is a sad day for my stomach when I can no longer eat rice pudding after 10 PM...now where are my glasses and who took my teeth?

Tiger: It's going to be really hard right now with your Dad being sick to concentrate on not going to the comfort food...but as long as you still post and let us know how you are doing you are still doing something positive...my prayers always include your dad these days.

Jello: Good for you on bypassing the donuts...we have two huge cakes not 15 feet from me and I am just pretending it is poison, because it is....and it never tastes as good as it does in my mind!!

Quilter: Oh boy 70 degrees....something to dream about although we finally dumped the down comforter off the bed last night...and you are the thin body emerging...you're doing great.

Huntress: Please post when the smoke clears we miss you girl!!

Tiffany, Cafe, Brighter, Dyan, Kayla: We are sad you our not posting and are hearts are heavy....do you feel guilty yet?

Serious question: Does anyone know anything about Irritable Bowel Syndrome? DNW, maybe DN does? All I know is that I am sometimes (like exactly NOW for instance) in the most amazing pain. But it comes and it goes and I figure if I call the doctor, I'll feel fine when I go in and he'll think me an hysterical hypochondriac lady....

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey Jello, I've had IBS for years. Certain foods set it off, like corn or lettuce things that are hard to digest. The thing that helped me the most was eating more fiber. Get some Kashi cereal and eat a bowl every morning and see if that helps. As long as I eat that each or almost everyday, no problems. But it doesn't take long to go back to the same troubles when I stop for any length of time. I've tried all kinds of high fiber cereals and Kashi, Good Friends taste the best to me. It's a terrible feeling and if you are like me, you would NEVER know when it was going to hit. If you don't show a lot of improvement in a week you should go ahead and se the doctor. Hope this will help.

Cafe, where are you??????????

YA YA!
I did the dreaded. Hauled the scale out this morning. Haven't weighed myself lately. DH could care less and wasn't any help with Saturday morning weigh-ins. It's wasn't good. 196.5. Fiddle sticks. *banging head on desk* I do think I'm "regrouping" myself...I feel an upswing coming on.

I don't know anything about IBS. But, I do know that some of the natural cereals I eat make a difference in my "system". If I eat Barbara's Puffins too many days in a row, look out.

So, back on the 196.6...if I could loose 30 pounds, I would be content. 10 pounds at a time. And, since I'm about back where I started (202)...and the first 10 pounds is the easiest... I should be able to throw this wagon in high gear!

I took my youngest son shopping yesterday. He's six and already a clothes-hound. He insisted on going into the dressing room alone. It took 30 minutes for him to try on 6 shirts!
While we were there, I took a gander at the ladies clothes. I'm not looking forward to spring fashions. And what is up with jeans. I couldn't even find a style I wanted to try on. I don't know if it's my age or my size. Low rise, tight thigh, bell bottoms are everywhere! And shirts that are so short! I wouldn't care if I was thin, still don't want my middle hang'n out!

I've been a slug this week. The house is a wreck. I'd be embarrassed if anyone showed up at my door. So, that said, I am going to be a cleaning maching today!

Talking YA-YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I guess it's just us for a while. I am sure Dyan, Tiffany, Huntress, Brighter, Kayla and the rest of the bunch will be back in no time...

I am sailing along very busy at work and trying to keep my food in order. I only exercised once this week, but plan to hit the gym tomorrow morning, and Sunday. We got about 4 inches of snow today.

I promised myself I will not overeat since DN and I are eating out because I had to work late and he had a meeting until 7:30 PM. So I will commit to having a big dish of broccoli rabe for dinner with maybe a small side of starch. I only have about 400 calories left for the day that I can spend.

I didn't get the job I applied for, but that's OK because I don't (in fact I am almost sure) believe that the increase I needed to move was going to be offered.

Tiger: Just keep plugging away. It sounds too like for the most part you are going back to your regular routine with the kids and all. Hopefully the shock of your Dad's illiness is starting to subside. I know that the initial revelation is a real killer from personal experience.

Semo: I loved the Ya-Ya Sisters, and though I did not have that in my earlier life, you gals are my Weight Loss Ya-Yas!! And you are just doing spectacular with that exercise...you should read your posts from last year...you have come so far...

Jello: How are you feeling today hon?

Gotta go it's almost 7:30 PM and I am ready to eat my feet I'm so hungry!

Hi everybody!

I haven't forgotten about ya'll, I think about you every day. I haven't been feeling well lately, the croup is going around my family and it's all I can do not to catch it. My resistance is down and my body is fighting but with all the stress at work as well I'm exhausted every day. Needless to say I'm not following any program and haven't been on the scale at all.

I'll try to get caught up with you all this weekend.

Happy TGIF!

OMG, I missed a day with you guys! How'd I ever survive it!?!? Sooooo busy at work!! Boss is away next week (yay! ) so everything needs to be done NOW!

Thanks to you guys who gave me IBS info and PM's. (That's PM's as in Personal Messages, not PMS!! )

Annnnyhoooo, I coincidently ran into the wife of a friend of mine who has IBS. She said what Semo and Tiger said - lots of fiber! She recommended a daily regime of Fibercon. Of course, I'm feeling fine now and have been since the "attack" on Wednesday. But I'm taking the Fibercon every morning anyway. If it persists or gets worse, I'll make an appt. with the dr.

Anyway, like DNW, we got clobbered yesterday. Around here, it started as rain, turned to ice and freezing rain and ended as snow. Driving on a couple inches of snow with a layer of ice underneath. Now there's a sport! This morning the sun is out and it's supposed to hit 40. Of course, my car was a big ice cube that I couldn't even get into and then took half an hour to warm up enough to scrape the windows. Tell me again why I don't move to Florida?

Tig, yeah men aren't real helpful in that department, are they? We've just got to do it ourselves. BTW, I'm with you on that clothes thing! The short shirts!!!! What, they run out of material or something!?!?

Semo, YA YA!! I just love Sandra Bullock.

Cafe, hey where are you lately?

Tiffany .... oh heck, I think I may have to give up on Ms. Tiffany ever coming back here. You hear that Tiff!?!?! You gonna take that from me!?!?!

On that note, I have to run. Just got word that boss is in the parking lot. We've got this great espionage-type system so all of us little worker bees alway know where all the management and staff members are at all times. Works for me!

In case I don't get to say it later.... TGIF!!!!! And have a great weekend!

It's Fridaaaay, It's Fridaaaay! Gotta have our Friday dancer! Leaving this place at noon, WOOHOO. Going to Nashville.

Used heavier wts in some of my exercises this morning and my arms feel like noodles. Did I tell you that I can do a full body pushup!..... Yes, I know I've told you before, but it still surpises me that I can do it. I've had NO upper body strength since I quit wagging my kids around some 20 years ago.

Jello, that's the thing with IBS, you have to keep up the fiber in order to keep it under control. Sounds strange because you would think fiber would cause it to be worst, but it doesn't. Try the cereal tho, I like it much better than drinking that other stuff, haven't tried the pills, which might be what you're doing.

Guess Cafe is mad at us, or she has quit her job and headed for the beach?

Hi Huntress, now what type work is it that you do again? Mine is very seasonal and we are right on the verge of getting swamped.

Quilter, got your desk clean yet?

DNW, you still have your toes? Thought that was a funny, never heard that expression. Sorry about the job, but you know what, things usually work out for the best and you don't sound as if it disappointed you.

Tig, when you get your house all cleaned come to mine, please, please. Thinking about you, kid-o.

And for the rest of you gals, COME OUT, COME OUT, WHERE EVER YOU ARE.

Ya'll have a great weekend and stay warm.

Hi all! Just pop'n in real quick.
I drag'd my butt back to JCP. Bought a pair of jeans. I had to settle for loose in the butt/thigh area and a bit tight on the waist. I'm all out of whack.
I'm excited to go to the concert tomorrow. Hope my kids don't make me regret taking them!
Have a great weekend!

Tiger, I'm just the reverse. Too tight in the thighs and hips but loose in the waist. Hey, between us, we're the perfect woman!

I'm in a good mood today girls. Ask me why....

OK, I'll tell ya anyway. I was having a BBBBBAAAAAADDDDD morning and snapped at the boss. Wasn't a biggie, just a "grumble". Later as I was thinking about new jobs and quitting and doing nasty things to his coffee, he called me into his office. Uh oh....

... called me in to tell me that my promotion finally came through!! Complete with a substantial raise! All together now...

Ah, to be so fabulously wealthy...

I will NOT celebrate with food. I will NOT celebrate with food. I will NOT celebrate with food.....

... well, maybe just a little????

Talking Congratulations and Salutations

Jello: I am so thrilled for you; you work so hard and now you have been recogized for it and you got the big bucks too!! What's your new title madam?

Semo: You're right I am not dissapointed; I just realized today that with DN's new nursing job, even if I got laid off from my job we would be OK. I think I wanted to make the move more for security reasons, than that I really wanted the job. By the way they laid off a woman who started out months before me many, many years ago. She was devastated. DN makes fun of me because I am always telling him I am going to get laid off and yet I never do. I would rather live with the expectation than be in the shape this woman is. Sad thing is she is very highly skilled and a terrific asset to the company. Today in the corporate world only being in the right spot counts, talent, loyalty, and all the rest don't mean beans.

Tiger: Have a great time at the concert and I hope it takes your mind off things for a while.

Huntress: We are so glad you still love us...write soon when the smoke clears.

Hey all,

Just got the chance to post...busy week!

SEMO: You sound wonderful! Keep up that good work---you are my inspiration!

Jello: Congrats on the job promotion and increase in MOOLAH! I have IBS, too....just how many of us on here have this? Mine is upper intestinal/ stomach kind and I take some meds for it.

Tiger: I'm with you on that jeans thing---I bought some recently too and they are very stretchy!

Congrats, Sarge, on your mighty return! You sound better...

Cafe: Are we back from vacation yet? Please tell details....I'm sure it was glorious on the beaches.

Huntress: Ol' buddy, ol' pal.... buried in work down there in Texas, are we? We have sun today, girl! I'm trying not to look at the housework I need to do inside so I can play outside! Not working well, though

Hello to Dyan, Tiff, Kayla, and all others I forgot....

My weigh-in this week was good--down another pound. I'm minus 13# now. 6 more # to go before I get to my 10% goal. I'm waiting for nice weather to pick up my spirits and exercise motivation (walking outside, etc.). Then, hopefully, the pounds will drop faster.
