Not exactly, you can get a notice when someone replies to the thread, not a specific post.

Depending on the browser you use, look for the words "Thread Tools." One of the tools is to subscribe to the thread and the options include email notification.

Default Great place to buy WF products in Everett, WA area

Hi all,

I know there are a few of us living in the Lynnwood and Everett area, so I wanted to share this location:

Smart Eats
Mill Creek Towne Center
15224 Main Street Suite 100
www.smarteatsusa.com

I'm not affiliated in any way, just a consumer who finally located the store and went in to check it out last night. They carry pretty much every WF brand made, including the newest ones, and their prices are quite competitive (at least 50 cents cheaper per item than any other place I've found so far). The owner had even heard of IP and we talked for a little bit about it. I know I'm going to start shopping there and support a local small business, so I thought I'd pass this along for others who might want to check it out for themselves.

Just started the diet Thursday.... So day 3 for me. I feel "hungry" often but realize that is probably more craving than needing!

I do have slight headaches! Withdraw?

Thanks for all the inspiration on the site!!!

Please make sure you are getting your sea salt. Just taking that can get rid of your headache. - or is it caffeine withdrawal from soda

Not a soda drinker (luckily). But LOVE my carbs- popcorn, pretzels, etc. I do love veggies too so that's good.

I had WLS 3 1/2 yrs ago. I did lose, gained some back, and am hoping this serves to keep me eating right! I wonder if there is anyone else out there who had WLS and is trying IP??

chjsmom, that's awesome!! Keep it up and before you know it you'll be at your goal.
Sounds like last night didn't go so well! Get back on track and when you share the details in "Oops thread" it really does keep me from wanting to cheat. For the first time in my life, I'm learning from others mistakes. Before I would not listen to the advice and see for myself, well not this time. So Thanks again from the bottom of my heart!

Hi all! Man do I love this diet!! I've been off the diet for about 6 months and didn't really stick to phase 4 protocol during that time, I gained about 8 pounds back and a couple inches for sure (I'm sure this wouldn't have happened if I stuck to the protocol!).

I've only been back on the diet since Monday and I've already dropped 5 lbs. Can't wait to be skinny by my 25th birthday!

When I started the program I had brain fog for a couple of weeks. It seemed way longer than what had been advertised, but I stuck with the program anyway. It did clear out. I think it was because my fat cells were releasing so much "gunk" into my bloodstream that had to be cleansed out of my body. Even with the discomfort I could tell something good was happening. I slept a lot too, and that seemed to help.

Both my husband and I experienced muscle weakness. He continued all his athletic activities and ate more restricted (high carb) packets to balance his output - this was recommended by our coach. He is now done with the program and back to normal.

I still have days when my muscles feel weak. I think it's going to continue till I am done with the program, but it's livable as long as I don't try to do high-intensity exercise. Calorie restriction and asking the body to make energy from fat do take a lot of effort by the body.

As long as the intended result is worth it, and the other health measurements are improving (weight, biological age, blood pressure and blood sugar numbers, etc.), some of the discomfort is tolerable and, remember, temporary. This is the rest of a healthy life we are talking about. I don't have the constant excruciating pain I had when I was at my peak weight.

I feel "Hungry" alot but not in my stomach... nothing satisfies like carbs! I am on IP for the second time 182-145 now 150-130 or lower. The headache is probably sugar withdrawl. I was such a sugar and carboholic when I first went on the diet I basically went into insulin shock or something of the sort... my son found me lying on the bathroom floor and was going to take me to the ER! Nobody told me I should phase onto the plan so instead I binged on all my favorite things the week leading up to starting IP! I am still addicted to carbs I learned that over my 2 month IP break. But I am getting better and have a firmer grasp on my addiction. Sounds silly to some mabye but that is what it is for me a meal is never a meal without bread or pasta or potatoes or BREAD!
I am smarter I am stronger I am leaner (and while on this very restricted diet some would say meaner!) But I can be meaner because I am also HOT lol! and looking forward to being hotter!!!
I may feel sad or grouchy or "deprived" because I can't eat what I want when I want but then I look at myself in the mirror and say "Damn girl look at you! Is it worth it... OH YA"!

I have been on IP for 71/2 months. I have had some unusual feelings at times, especially in the first few months. As time passed everything seem to even out and be o.k. I could tell my body was responding to what I was putting in it. Sometimes I see a post where someone is considering eating the bedtime snack earlier in the day. There is a very good reason we eat the bedtime snack at bedtime. In fact, there is a reason for every facet of this diet. At this point of my journey it is very tempting to mess up, as it may be for some of you. I know there are several reasons for this and they all are understandable, but that doesn't make it right for me. I have to live with 'me' and 'me' says continue as planned. Sometimes people do what they want to do and then spend a lot of time justifing their actions. I think that is a waste of time. I'm not saying anyone on this forum is doing that. It would be very easy for me to do that at this point, even though that is not my nature. Again, I have to make a mental decision to stay on the path or stray. I understand the reason for phasing off of the diet. Sometimes I wonder exactly how I am going to do on phase 4. I am going to need some help. Phase 1,2 and 3 are printed on paper for me, phase 4 is life in the big world of food. I know the help is out there. It is nice to know that we don't have to stay ignorant about anything. Just think there was a time that I did not know how to shed the fat I had put on my body.
The weather in the deep south is fixing to change. I live in north Alabama and tomorrow snow and ice is suppose to move in. If it is as bad as they are predicating travel will be almost impossible and power lines can break due to the ice. A 1993 ice storm left us with frozen pipes and no power for a week. We will stay in, hope we keep our power. Stay safe during these winter days. Judy

It's only been a week and a half for me on the plan, but I do find that each day seems different. I feel "jello like" mostly in the morning, but after a packet and a couple glasses of water I am much better. I have not cheated whatsoever, but it appears that I am hitting my first plateau as well (?)

I learned that you hit the plateau if your scale shows you same numbers weeks, not days Every day is different and example I seem to lose like once a week and after that stay same many days. This IP works, trust me and stay on protocol
