This is what my mom's friend recommended, because this is what she does.

I read the EAS Advanedge protein shakes available in stores are a good substitute for IP foods and drink.

I can not afford IP right now, it is just not affordable in my budget.

So what I have been doing is substituting IP foods for the EAS shakes.

This is what I eat everyday
Breakfast
- 1 EAS shake

Lunch
-1 EAS shake
- 2 cups salad

Dinner
- 1 EAS shake
-2 cups salad
- a protein (either, chicken, fish, or beef)
Michelle is correct, you are not getting enough in and your body is going into starvation mode. You need to eat 4 cups of veggies a day, if you are only eating salad that is not enough, you need to add cucumbers. bell peppers, okra, zuchinni, not just lettuce. Have your night shake later not at dinner time, closer to bedtime. Are you getting the sea salt and the olive oil in? are you drinking at least 100oz of water?...these are some of the things I see that could be keeping you from losing.

My mom loss 50lbs using the EAS shakes.....OH WAIT.....you are not getting enough protein!!!....you need to change and eat a pure protein bar for lunch instead of a shake!!....she would have a protein bar and coffee for breakfast, a shake, 2 cups of veggies and a salad for lunch, 8 ozs of meat, 2 cups of veggies and a salad for dinner and another shake around 9-10pm....so you might try that and see what happens! ....hope these suggestion will help you out...Good Luck!

Thanks guys for the suggestions, I will definitely try them.

I also do not drink 100 oz of water and I have been using the olive oil and sea salt.

do you recommend a specific protein bar or brand.

First and foremost, 6.6 pounds in 2 weeks is awesome!!! Do not compare yourself to others!!!

I have been hypo since I was 25. I have been on IP for 14 weeks and have had what I would consider great success. I went from a size 12 to 6-8 and I am not at goal yet!!! I am averaging 2.57 pounds/week...you can look at my stats and see that it has been a little bit slower of a road for me.

Remember, everyone's bodies are different and will react to this plan differently...but...if you do the plan and follow it as written, you WILL lose!!!

In 6 weeks, I lost 6 pounds, I do not consider that a success, my goal is to lose 30 - 40 pounds. My current weight is 163, and my goal is 120- 130.

Are you drinking the EAS Advant EDGE carb control protein drink or just the regular drink?

mahreen86- I started the diet around May 15 and by September I had lost 50 lbs. I have been staying on track since then. As Wuvs has said I also did the Pure Protein bar (1.76 0z.) for lunch. I hope this helps.

only once to exercise... other than yard and house work but never broke a sweat. I went to the gym... too tired and didn't feel right afterwards.... so I did not try it again. This was about 2 weeks into the diet. Before I started IP I went 4 days a week for swiming, treadmill, weights, and oliptical. I have read that if you do you should have 4 packets a day.
