My mom has been good in giving me a little candy, so I don't feel deprived, but not tons for all the holidays for the past year and a half. What happened? She gave me a HUGE bag of the cadburry minieggs (my absolute favorite). And she gave it to me early to have for our road trip Saturday. I REEEAAALLY should have left it at home. I noshed mindlessly the whole trip. Now my weight is way up and I feel like sh*t.

Lyria- candy would include chocolate or any other lollies.

Be careful with that - carbs break down in your mouth, so you're actually consuming calories -swallowing or not. Also, this is a form of an eating disorder, if you do it often...

As for me, I'll be eating candy. My mom lovingly bought me a small handful of single serving items: mini choclates wrapped together in one serving, a individual bag of mini eggs, a couple large cadbury eggs wrapped in seperate plastic bags. I have to say, I'm thankful. I'm good at eating just one serving, but it's nice to have everything seperated for me so I don't have to count it out.

I don't see anything wrong with a few bites of candy to celebrate my Lord's birth! Okay, maybe I shouldn't look at it that way, but hey - eating a bit of my favorites here and there is the only way I'm going to keep up healthy habits permanently.

I bought a bag of Dove eggs last week. Ugh. I knew I shouldn't. I knew I'd eat them all in one sitting. And guess, what? I did. Next time I need a chocolate fix I'll buy a chocolate bar instead of a huge bag.

Luckily with both my sister and me over 18, my parents don't get too much candy. Just a bunny, some robin's eggs and a few jelly beans (not even jelly belly kind, so I didn't like them much). My issue was going out for deep dish chicago style pizza for dinner!
