Today I did a 60 minute hip hop class at the gym.
I like to keep track of how many days and minutes I exercise each month. I have been putting money in a savings account from the days I exercise ($3 a day) and it is starting to add up. I am saving up for a NICE watch!
Totals for April:
1 day
60 minutes
April 2: 45 minutes elliptical
April 3: 60 minutes spin class
April 4: 35 minutes elliptical, 15 minutes weights (50 total)
Did not manage to do my 9 mile run on Saturday... gale force winds kept me inside. I've tried to run in 40 mph winds and I just get frustrated and mad because I feel like I'm running in slow-mo. I did however manage to make it to the gym for a 5k on the treadmill, so at least I got some exercise in.
Yesterday- no exercise since we were out of town all day. Today is a 5 miler during lunch, though!
Friday 4/2-30 minutes elliptical (2.5 miles)
Sunday 4/4-18 holes of golf, walked the course--I should wear my pedometer next time to see the steps
Monday 4/5-30 minutes elliptical (2.5 miles)
Sunday:
swim, about 21 min total:
1 lap freestyle
1 lap backstroke
4x25's with 15s rest
4x50's with 30s rest
1 lap kicking freestyle
1 length dolphin kick
1 length breaststroke kick
1 lap breaststroke
1 lap backstroke
Monday - off day... really off... no more cleaning, carrying & organizing.
Today - 6.15 miles at the park. DH went too, and did almost 4 miles, his longest run to date. This is 7th run, and today the pollen was like a yellow haze which couldn't have been good for his asthma but he stuck with it. I'm so proud.
Yesterday I did a mega run, and I'm so proud of it...in 75 minutes, I did a 5k of sprint intervals (at 9mph, with 2 min at 4mph recovery), then 4 10min miles, for a total of 7.1 miles. It made me start thinking over things like "train for a half marathon". And then I did a full 45 min of intense yoga, and it felt amazing.
Today would normally be a lifting day, but I had to get lame-o cortisone injections this morning, so that wasn't happening. But I pinned that arm up to my side and did 80 min on the incline trainer, using sheer willpower and dedication. And I'm pretty proud of that too!
