Thank you all for your get well wishes. Today, My face is a sight not to behold. The bruising has gone from the corner of my eye on down aways on my face. And, my cheek bone is beginning to turn yellow. What a sight!!!!
I found some Clinique concealer foundation and tried to cover the worst of the purple.

My knee is really bad. I have the bandange off for the moment and it looks ugly and hurts.
Other than all this-------I had a good OP day until about 8:00 p.m. Larry went to Kroger's and bought me a slice of white cake w/white icing and sprinkles. It was sooooo good. He felt so sorry for me.
Oh, and I went all day yesterday and all day until this evening not eating any sugar or starches. I hope the scales will show a difference by Monday. By then, I hope to be able to resume some walking.

Susan, that exercise arrangement sounds good.
Dee, it sounds like your daughter found a good camp.
Tammy, if I had any film in my camera, I would take a photo just for you.

Everyone enjoy the weekend. And , drink plenty of water in this heat.

Default Hello all!!!!!!!!

How is everyone here??

My husband and I have been doing WW's online and are wondering does anyone have an Excel spreadsheet program with the food points already loaded? we found one that needs everything loaded in--

We don't have palmpilots so we are looking for a good spreadsheet for Excel

If ever you're in the neighborhood, there are two great threads in the support area that you are welcome to stop in and look around. Its meant to be upbeat and uplifting as we travel to our goals. The thread names are "21 Day Challenge" based on the premise that 21 days is needed to create new habits- and then there is the "One Day Challenge Checkin". The second thread is really uplifting-- we have all made ourselves Royalty !!

Thanks!

Well gang, I am leaving for band camp in about 10 minutes. Hope the kids behave!! I'll be home sometime on Wed. afternoon when the other chaperones come to relieve us!!

Have a good week OP and I'll check in Wed. or Thurs. I don't think I'll be weighing on Thursday morning. Might be a shock after eating at camp. I know we'll be getting loads of walking in though.

Bye!!

Hi all

I am back after a 3 week absence. Its nice to know I wasnt forgotten.

Tammy summer is hard to lose. My losses seem to have gotten smaller but I find that the difference is on the clothes sizes which have dropped since summer has started.

Lets recap. In the last 4 weeks...losses of .4, .8, 2.2 and 1 lb. for a total of 4.8 so far for July. I usually average 6 or 7 lbs in a month. Thank goodness July has 5 weeks. This brings me to a total loss of 58.6 lbs which coincidentally is exactly half of the weight I have to lose; so its a milestone of sorts.

I went clothes shopping. When I started I fit a size 24 pant...I just bought a size 14. Needless to say Im thrilled with this. This last month I seem to have lost more inches than pounds.

I am now under 10 lbs to weighing in the hundreds and leaving two hundred ( hopefully forever) I would like to lose the 10 before school starts back in the fall. But well see.

Chat with ya all soon.

Hi all,
Sorry I didn't get to tell Tammy goodbye before her taking off. She'll be tired when she returns on Wed., won't she!

Kady, congratulations on all those losses. You are doing so great!!!!! Almost under the 200 mark is fabulous!

Kaylets, thanks for the invitation to your threads.

Susan, when does Pat start rehabilitation? I know it's soon. How's your weather doing? Our heat index is usually 105 by the afternoon.

Everyone post.

Kady , Congrats on your loss!!! You've done great!!! We've missed you while you've been gone

Tammy, you are always on thego!!! Hope you have a great time at band camp. What do you do at band camp?

Tina, Pat is doing well. He is going to therapy 3 times a week. Today, we went out to the mall for a little while. Yes, it is very hot here.... I don't know the heat index.... Just know it was way too hot!!

Dee, how are you doing?

Have a great evening or night.

It's too quiet around here!!!
Hi everyone,
I just returned from a 15 minute walk. It was so hot out and this is the first exercise since I fell last Wednesday. My knee feels much better. I just didn't want to push it too far.

Susan, how is your knee doing nowadays? I know it's taken a backseat to Pat's surgery and recovery. I've been complaining about my scrapped up and bruised knee. I can't imagine the pain and aggravation you've gone through.

I bet Tammy is having fun. We'll have to ask her all about it.

Dee, what is your daughter doing now that camp's over with?
And, how are you doing with your weight loss program?

Sis, tell us how you are doing.

Kady, how is your weather in Canada?

I have major water retention today. We went out for Chinese last night. Ooohhh......it was excellent.

Okay, I'm off to the showers.

Hi all
Its cooled down here in Saskatchewan Canada....which is a nice change...but I fear that summer is over...

You can now go out and garden to your hearts content without fear of sunstroke. The weeds await me....and thats where I am headed after a short break.

This weekend I stained my deck. It took me 3 spirts of about 4 hours each. Did I feel it yesterday! Every muscle was sore. Guess I will count that as my exercise quota for the weekend.

Tonight I am going to feast on garden fresh potatoes with dill and garden cucumbers. ( I finally managed to grow decent cucumbers)

Wednesday weigh in is coming right up. Talk to you then.

It sounds like some people have a green thumb!
Kady, I've never been able to grow good cucumbers. Congratulations! Mine have always come out in odd shapes, if they grew at all. I can't believe that your summer is over. Wow, ours lasts until October. Usually, our first cold spell is on Halloween.

My short walk has invigorated me and has made me want more. (am I crazy or what--)

Take care, everyone.

Tina

Hi everyone,

Well, I was up at 1:15 am again last night. Finally went to sleep around 5, only to get up at 6. 2 days in a row with no nap during the day... is making me crazy. I've also had a very emotional evening and day today!!!

I've deceided that I need to start taking care of #1 ... ME!!! I joined a gym today and will focus on getting myself stonger physically and mentally!! I really can't go into more details at this time.

Pat went to work today and is doing pretty well. My knee is doing well, or as well as it is going to get until they put in a new one. I'll go back to the knee dr. in about 6 months unless I'm in a lot of pain or have alot of swelling.

Tina, take your time and you will heal. Take it slow!

I'm sorry that I didn't respond to everyone in this post. I'm very preoccupied and am having difficulty focusing on much.

Hi all

Tina, our summer isnt over officially , just a bout of cooler than normal weather. Hopefully it will snap out of it soon.

Auntie....way to go....you are on the right track putting yourself and treating yourself as #1. Be selfish.....there will be more of you to give to others as you work towards your goals.

Weigh in tonight....I lost 3 lbs YIPPEE!!! 6.5 lbs to go to get under the 200 lb mark....I cant wait....I had hoped to reach it by the end of August and I just might....

Keep movin everybody....good luck at the scales tomorrow.

We've been house sitter and puppy sitting this week. I took a few days off work..used up the last of the vac days unitl Aug when I get more. Now that camp was over, it's time to get ready for school. It starts in 2 weeks around here.. boo!

Went to the movies twice this week. Seen Country Bears (that was cute) and then seen Stewart Little (I liked that one) a couple days later. Guess having all this time off I had to do something!

Welcome Back Kady! You did great on your looses. WOW you really did get in lots of excercise with all the deck work. Way to go on your 3 pound loss!!!

Sorry to hear about your knee Tina, hope its doing ok now.

Susan, its great to hear that Pat is coming along with his PT. Hang in there with your knee... it sounds painful.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Im headed back to work in the morning..yuck but someone has to do it. As far as my weight loss goes...its going no where...fast

It's actually already August.
I can't believe it's August.

Dee, did you have fun dog-sitting? You sound like us, we went to three movies while we were off.
Take it easy at work the rest of the week. Keep plugging away at that weight loss......I'm trying to do that.

Wink

Happy Thursday All !!!

Tina, as to your question on what I am doing to keep losing every week , I really dont know what to say. I measure everything. Portion control is a biggy with me. I use low fat/no fat substitutes whereever I can. I drink tons of water.

For those red letter foods that are the downfall of many of us I have found good substitutes. For chips ( my biggest problem) I now eat Spudz ( 1 cup=2 pts) and gives me the crunch and salt I need. Low fat/no fat yogurt for the summer ice cream craving.

I was worried about summer as I am not working ( I teach) and that means no routine; so I walk. Most days I walk 40 min in the morning and 40 min in the evening. Acquacise 2 times a week in the summer. I try to keep busy cause when I dont...I eat.. Im a boredom eater.

Guess theres a lot Im doing that adds to my weight loss. While it sounds like Im a exercise fanatic Im not. Once school starts up I will probably cut back walking to a couple times a week plus acquacise 3 times.

I really want this weight loss thing to work and be permanent so Im trying to find ways to eat /exercise that arent going to be difficult to maintain. I refuse to buy the prepackaged foods.

Guess I will get off my soap box ....sorry I got carried away.
