DONNA ~ prayers going up for your son and the household of flus. Does your son like ICE CREAM? There's lots of energy in that and they often give that to sick kids when in the hospital as they like it so much ...

LORI ~ prayers going up for you, your DH, and your family during this stressful time. The thing to remember is -- that no matter what happens, the LORD loves you and will stand by your side to give you the strength you need to make it through it all!

JENNY ~ nice and friendly group of people here.

Have a MARVELLOUS MONDAY, everyone! ^^PRAYERS^^ ascending for you and yours ... ROSEBUD

Good Morning, Everyone!

Donna-prayers for your family to all get over this nasty flu-bug. This sure has been a hanger-on. Ours version was mostly the respiratory kind with fever, but did take a week or so to get over. I made some homemade chicken noodle soup and that seemed to help more than anything else. But, basically, for kids, as I'm sure you know, we just try whatever will get them to eat

Lori-prayers for you and your family. And, also for safety and protection for your DH whatever the outcome today. God will provide for you all as He loves you so incredibly much. Let us know what happens and how you're doing

Jenny-glad you've found us! Keep coming back.

Gary-glad you had a great weekend!

Oh 2 be me- prayers for your DH to feel better and that you find a plan that is livable, because we all know it's impossible to stick with any plan that just doesn't fit into your lifestyle easily. What have you been doing? (you may have said already, but my memory isn't what it used to be)

Bev-thunder-snow is cool! The best thing about the snow down there is that it probably won't stay long! I remember a March trip to see my grandparents in FL a looooong time ago (when I was in grade school) and it snowed in GA while we were driving through. We were the only ones who were actually driving-everyone with a GA plate was off the side of the interstate, either hoping to wait it out or wrecked! It even snowed on us in the Tampa area on that trip-Dad wouldn't go again in March

Well, not much going on here today. DS2 had a job interview Saturday at the church's summer camp. Will find out soon whether he will get the job. It will be a strange summer if he's gone every week, but he's kinda looking forward to it and making $$! Don't know what DS3 will do without someone to pester Today, just gonna have to pay some bills, finish our taxes, and get back to housecleaning-that last one never goes away for some reason and then there's the schoolwork, so I guess I've plenty to do, but it's just same old, same old.......

Hi to everyone else and have a great day!

Same old around here also. I spent the weekend studying. I did have time to bake a lasagna and some muffins. I will be so glad when the exam is over.

I am keeping all of you in my prayers. Have a great day!

Morning all.
We ended up with about 3-4 in of snow. The roads are nasty this mornign so I'm thankful I dont' have to work today.

Someone asked what 'plan' I'm using. i'm doing the South Beach. I've tried WW about 6 times, I just do not do well with it.
This is the 2nd time for SB. I do feel better doing it. I find that when I eat alot of sugars and refined flours, my tummy hurts adn I feel yucky. So, I'm going to stick with it. Just need to get a food plan written down and start exercising. I really have no excuse. I was given 2 dvds of Walk away the Pounds. I did the first mile one oen day last week and could only go 1/2 mile. I have back and hip problems so it makes it hard to do. But I'll keep at it.

Praying for those who are sick.
Donna-gatorade is great when you have the flu.

Well...God heard your prayers. Yes, Rayne...he's driving me BONKERS today!! I'm still feeling really yucky and he's bouncing off the walls. No fever. No meds since 8:00 last night. AND he's HUNGRY!!!

Me...I don't want to eat anything.

One good thing...finally broke into the 280 decade.
Little "yea" there.

Write more later.

Hello all of you little darlin's,
I pray everyone is having a blessed day today, even those who are under the weather. Praying for everyone's illnesses to be gone quickly and feeling back on top of things. At least we know Donna's DS is better and alot better. Even though he is bouncing off the walls, isn't it great.
Lori, we all are praying for you and your family. Be strong and trust in the Lord. He is a just God, so you do what the Word says, "After having done all to stand, then STAND. God will take care of the rest and He will do whatever is best.

Gary, thank you for sharing your reciepe, it sounds great and I do love ro-tel. Tell Angie, if she does not mind, would love to have her recipe for the soup.

Listening to all of you talk about your snow, makes ours sound like nothing and actually it really is nothing. None the less, our schools closed today and after I made it all the way to work, it was slow, they sent many of us back home. I was happy about that so I could talk to you guys today.

Oh Donna, I almost forgot. Job well done on breaking into the 280's. I cannot wait to be in the 200 anythings. I know, I know be anixous for nothing, it will come by and by. I am just ready for the by and by. LOL

Anyone that I did not mentioned have a great, beautiful, motivated, loving and Blessed day.

Hi Everyone!
Hello Jenni, I'm new too - this is a fantastically supportive group!!!
Hi Lori - praying for God's peace for you!!
Hey Donna - hope you are feeling well soon, did you hear the big "YES!" For you reaching 280 all the way across the Atlantic?

Rayne enjoy that snow!! Sounds wonderful! You may all think I'm mad but I am slightly jealous about all the snow you guys get!! I live near the Lake District and we hardly ever get snow! We had a day of it last month - I work in a big school and said everyone had to take their classes out for the morning, it was crazy but wonderful! The children even saved snow balls in their deep freezes!
Love and Blessings to you all!!!

Patty - I definitely agree - if you can't stick to your plan, you need a new plan. I tweaked mine until it "fit" me and my lifestyle. Think of weight loss as a journey, rather than a destination. We learn as we go, hopefully making forward progress - though we all take a few side roads that may meander a bit, and even get us lost temporarily!

Ronni - I will keep DH's job situation in my prayers!

Wilma - prayers continuing for your studies! The class WILL be over soon!

Lori - Fantastic news! What a blessing! So glad it worked out well for your family!

Donna - into a new "decade" You are doing GREAT!

Aggie - glad you got a "short" day for work! I wish that I had snow days off like the teachers and most of the staff do. But, then again, I get a lot done when everyone isn't calling me all day long

Annie-Rose - I would HAPPILY give you a bunch of our snow! We have had a record year with over 200 inches of it. Right now I feel that is about 190 inches too many

Hi to Gary, and Rosebud, and everyone else! Hope you had a good start to the week!

We had a good Lenten study last night, but I did splurge on the food Home made soups, breads and desserts are hard to pass up! Thankfully, I planned for the calories, so I wasn't over for the day - just not exactly the best choices. At least the two cookies were "healthy" with oatmeal and flax and raisins (and chocolate chips )

Today was very cold - started well below zero this morning, and very windy. I really want spring to come soon!

Blessings to all, and prayers continuing for you and yours!

LORI ~ PTL -- that's fabulous news; OUR GOD IS A COMPASSIONATE GOD!!! He is also faithful, and we have learned that on this thread: yes indeed, He hears and answers prayers!

Here's a link to my other thread stop, which shows some pictures I took of the birds in our backyard last winter (just outside our kitchen window) ~

Default WOW Lori~ Totally Amazing!!

There is an older chorus I love:

"The Steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.
His mercies never comes to an end.
They are new every morning, new every morning.
Great is thy faithfulness, Oh Lord.
Great is thy faithfulness."

I'm singing that tonight for you and your hubby.

What a mighty God we serve!

So so so glad to know everyone had a wonderful evening, being snowed in. Our snow here in Hampton is just about gone, therefore it will be back to normal for me tomorrow, but is was a blessing today.

Lori, so happy for you and your family. I am sure your husband is singing God's praises this evening. I hope you got my message, just a little special prayer for you. Stay strong in the Lord. God will renew your strength.

Rayne, Gary, Angie, Rosebud, Ronni and DH, Wilma, Donna, Oh2bme, Annie-Rose , Jenny, you all stay in my prayers.

For each of us to do His Will sometimes we have to step back from ourselves and have a work done in us. We may need to breakdown and realize and cry out, Oh God I need you, and then we need to breakout. God makes an out for us but we must breakout and follow Him. We need to break out of fear, low expectations, out of small minded thinking, yesterday's identies, thinking you are a loser and when God says we are conquerer's. Then we must break up, break up the unused grounds in our hearts where the seeds of Revelation cannot find root and grow, We need to cry to God here I am, I am ready to recieve your seeds. Sometimes in order to break up the the ground we may need to forgive someone, repent for something in our lives, you may need to let something go, then you can move on and you are now open for God to send you a new Word. Now we can break through. You can't give up. don't give out, and don't give in, because the next is the period of the greatest calm. Just hold on. Winter will yield to Spring and Night gives up to the Morning. Whatever you are going through it will not last forever, because after your worst, your break through is coming. You will reach a new level, just hold on and Believe God, even when things are shakey, there is a Peace that passes all understanding. His name is God!!! All of your prayers WILL be answered, just hold on.

Love to you all,
Aggie

Hope I did not talk to much. I felt that this would cover all.

Hi Gals ~

All is well here. Angie is off at yoga, taking in a class for her. She has been teaching it so much lately she hasn't had her fix

We are going to have some bacon/ham/turkey sandwiches on squaw bread with lettuce and tomato for dinner tonight...will probably throw on a can of healthy chicken noodle soup too.

Working 15 minutes from home this week. It is a big Lexus dealership...I think the biggest in the world actually...need to research that...has a restaurant, etc. We will be there until the end of the week then off to another job for a bit, 90 miles away, then back to the Lexus....providing they still continue the building...hope....hope.

We have had 2 dealerships stop mid-stream the last 2 months...work we were counting on to get us through the end of this year...life will go on

Angie just pulled in...be back later...after dinner....
