Good Morning all, got a busy day ahead but wanted to drop in & say hi before I head out for the rest of the day. Didn't get to post yesterday. Scale wasn't nice to be because I wasn't very good with my eating over the weekend. But I have a new scale now so at least I can keep an eye on the weight.

Will try to post replies later.

I just ran to the bank then hit Trader Joe's for some decaf espresso beans. Of course I had to shop some, since it was no where near as busy as the last time I was in there. I found whole wheat pretzels! I bought Tom a box of the TJ's natural oreo cookies...no trans fats, or high fructose corn syrup. Too bad they are not made with whole wheat! ha ha! TJ 's is interesting...but I have not found all that many SB legal things there. I asked one of the folks that works there if they had any whole wheat frozen pizzas, and they don't. They do have whole wheat pizza dough, but I can make it myself pretty easily. They have a good price on milk, and eggs though. And wine. Too bad I can't drink!

I have a neighbor who wants to bring me an aquarium she doesn't want anymore...I better go call her and let her know I am home now.

Howdy all- Just a quickie as there's someone here cutting up trees that got blown down this past fall from a storm. I'll be so glad when they're out of the back yard. My little Boston terrier Jackson is having a fit cause there's people out there and he can't get to them. Had my oatmeal this morning and put some flax seed meal in it. Hope it made it healthier. I put on a pot of beans for this evening. Everything else is going fine. Thanks for all the good wishes for my anniversary. Got to run...

Hi everyone

Got up too late to go for a walk this morning but did go bowling. Hope to get up on time to walk at the mall again tomorrow.

Cole -
I've not noticed any taste in the arrowroot. I use it more for sweet stuff like thickening frozen fruit for a pie topping or for pancakes. It mixes easier than flour that is why I sometimes use it for making white sauce too.

Well, I bet Gator is happy. The Florida Gators won the national championship last night in a 41-14 victory over Ohio St. Nice going, for the SEC AND for the Gators. Maybe now that the football season is over, she will have time for the board again.

Hi Ladies,

I thought I could get on here and make a quick posts, but I see lots of posts. Got a trigger point injection yesterday for my back. (3 shots). But went to the gym planning on just riding the bike for 45 minutes. All these people with New Year's resolutions to lose wt had the gym packed. So I had to do the elliptical for 20 and then the for 25. I guess it will thin out in a month or so.

Eating is good. Fighting the water retention thing. With the new changes at WW I lost 3 points. You wouldn't think that was much, but it is. I am starving. I guess it will taking getting used to. Good news, my DD (older one) has decided to do WW with me. I have been asking her and have offered to pay for it. She really needs to go, so keep your fingers crossed that she does well with it.

Gator, in case you are lurking, what a great game last night. Congrats to your Gators. I was so impressed with Leak and the play calling. I sure thought it would be the other way around. Another win for the SEC is fantastic. I think I heard there are 3 SEC teams in the top 10!

Monet, I'm sure you could write a cookbook with all your great recipes. Everything you make must be wonderful. That's why they ask you to do it.

Missy, so glad you are doing so good. Hang in there with the nausea. Maybe crackers would help. You love those kids, you know it. They can be trying though.

Bob, hope you are sleeping better by now.

Rosalie, congrats on the 2 lbs. Your menu sound great, but a lot of work.

Tech, WOW that is outrageous for insurance. Keep checking around. That's they way it works, you start back to work a few hours, then a couple days more, then before you know it you are full time.

Cole, I have bad back problems too. I have to get epidurals and trigger point injections all the time. I work out. I probably do exercises that are all wrong for me. What is your back problem?

Melf, I hope that new scale is nice to you. Was it you that asked where I lived? Anyway I am in Kentucky. I had to change my bio and name awhile back. Used to be Jack-K.

Got to run, the mountains are growing. My whole day started off horribly. Left the house to get in early, got down the steet, realized I forgot my glasses (couldn't see to drive), turned around and went back home. stopped at the gas station, no purse. Didn't have enough gas to make it to and from so I turned around and went home, then had to stop again and get gas. Then traffic was horrible and I just made it on time. I should have known my day would get worse. There has been one problem after another. Oh well, keeps life interesting.

Default Howdy

I think I've got things backwards...I gained 3 more pounds this week. The better I'm doing the more I'm gaining..hmmm I won a bid on 9 Leslie Sasone videos and can't wait to try one out this evening. Stormy is going to be working out with me. It has been a while since I've been faithful with the workouts so I'm really excited about getting back on track. The septic people just got here and the dogs are driving me nuts. I'm a bit rushed today but hopefully things will slow down soon.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Solly - I'm so glad you explained to Melf that you used to be Jack-K. I know someone had asked awhile back if you used to be Jackie but I never saw the reply so had been wondering. It looks like they changed all your previous posts to your new name.

Good evening!

Well…this may be a little short – I’m pooped out! After school today I had to take Lexie to her 18 month check-up. They couldn’t just leave well enough alone – they had to give her a flu shot!! Kids sure to have to get a lot of shots!! When do they stop? Her appointment was at 4:15 and we didn’t leave until 6:00! Isn’t that ridiculous? I did get a nice phone call from my specialist tonight…at 8:00…can you believe that? He was just calling to see how I was doing and to see if I had done another blood draw with my regular OB since he saw me last week. How nice is he? I’m quite impressed I must say!

Well….let me get to some posts!

MONET: Feel free to give all the lovin you want to my little one! If you let me sleep in – you can do whatever you want!! HA!

ROSALIE: That sauce sounds yummy – I’m going to have to give it a try – thanks!! WTG on the 2 pound loss – that’s great!!

COLE: WTG on doing the pilates! I heard it’s wonderful! Hopefully you can get some relief for your back soon!

TECH: I just have this vision of your poor doggie sitting on the back porch waiting for the mud to dry…all sad…looking at you like – why aren’t you letting me in?!? HA! Yeah – my job is tough when not feeling up to par. We were laughing in the lounge today because I walked in there and for some reason I had this huge grin and one of my friends said – “Missy, why are you smiling so much – did you just hit a kid in the hall or something?” HAHA! I was like – I wish!! HA! Those little one are so innocent and cute but I just want to stay home and not feel good right now!!

MELF: Hey girlie! Hope you got everything done today! Enjoy the new scale!!

HEART: Is your insurance just covering you or is that family coverage? Does Boogie’s heart condition have anything to do with a higher premium?

TONI: I love when little dogs get all barky and stuff like they are big and bad! HAH!

SOLLY: Don’t ya just love the beginning of the year….everyone has their big plans…gonna join the gym to lose weight, etc. Most make it about a month (kind of like me! HA!) It will thin out before you know it and you’ll be able to do the workout you want to do without all of the people there. How about them Gators huh? Nice game….did GATOR go? Glad you DD is going to WW with you – good support system for the both of you! Good luck! I had a morning like yours a couple of weeks ago – don’t you wish you could just turn around and go back to bed when things like that happen?!!

COUNTRY: How could you gain 3 when doing so well…do you think it could be fluid? I hope you enjoy your new videos – that will be great motivation.

Well…I’m off to bed!!! See you tomorrow!

Missy

Solly: When I had my son '99 I must have herniated two discs in my back. The day after the epidural wore off I almost fell on the floor when I first got up my feet hurt so bad. After years of doing nothing I finally went to the doctor and they mri'd and found the herniated disks and want to inject cortisone into my spine. I am WAY too chicken to have anything like that done. I deal with it pretty effectively (so far) with stretching and the Pilates has been wonderful and not painful. How did you back problems come about?

Monet: I did go to Trader Joes, I liked it produce-wise. The one nearest me has great flowers (I try to buy myself flowers once a month). I did find some soup and rice mixes without sugar and extra junk. I found no sugar Mayo - I havent tried it yet. I was hoping to find more sugarless bacon and sausages, but was dissappointed.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies. It works better for me to come in early and geton herebefore there are tons of posts and I am swamped.

Got in 55 minutes of wt training last night. I have switched my routines around. Doing 2 nights of nothing but cardio and 2 of wts. I enjoyed the switch last night.

Country, I am in the same boat. Last Thursday I was at 173. Friday we ate out and I had a burger and onion rings and 2 margaritas. Up 3 lbs the next morning. Ok I understand why, back on track, exercising like a fiend, and Monday I am at 178. Today I am at 177. It is so aggrevating. I do think mine is water retention. But for some reason the diuretcs are not working this week. I am hardly going to the potty at all. I know it is frustrating for you. I guess we have to just forget about it and go on doing what is right and changing our life style and it all will catch up. At least I hope so. hang in there. Have fun with your tapes.

Missy, wow, what a great doc. My gyn called me on night around 8:30. Plus it was to answer a question that the tech had already answered. I thought it was nice of him. Take it easy and don't get too stressed out. How much longer until you are in the "safty zone"?

Cole, My back problems started in 2003, don't know how or why but right after I had lost 100 lbs and was exercising. I started out doing PT and it seemed to help, but then I was diagosed with Breast Cancer and I was laid up for awhile and it seemed not to bother me as much. After getting back to work and working out it flared up again. I have a good friend that is a pain specialist and he did a MRI and found 2 herniated and 1 bulging. He has been giving me epidurals about 3-4 times a year. They really do help and are not painful at all. The last 2 times I got trigger point injections and they are helping too. You should really try it if yours starts bothering you again. I haven't tried the Pilates. Never could get into it. Maybe I should.

Rosalie, glad we are re-acquainted old friend.

Monet, hope you had a good night's rest. What busy plans do you have for today?

Bob, sleeping better? Can you beleive Patrino left. Wouldn't it be funny if he left the NFL in a few years and came back to UK?

Gator, come on back, we need to celebrate.

Need to get busy so to everyone I missed. Have a great day.

Good morning

I went to bed early last nite and slept o.k. and was wide awake at 5.30 this morning. So I got up had a shower and cup of tea and took off to the mall at 6.15. I did 4 laps again which took me about 40 minutes. I think that would be about 2-2 1/2 miles. When I got back I had coffee and breakfast and read the newspaper. Now I feel like sleeping again.. Hope I can keep awake otherwise I will not be able to sleep to-nite. Maybe I'll get busy and do some chores around here.

Fruit - Sounds like you have a very considerate doctor.

Solly - You are doing will with all the workouts.

Just being on here has woken me up a bit so maybe I'll be able to keep awake.

Hi to everyone I missed.

Good morning! I slept like a log last night. I woke up briefly at 4ish, but went right back to sleep. I usually get up and go potty at least once, but not last night!

Not much on the schedule today. I have a dentist appointment this afternoon to repair a chipped tooth, but that is about it.

I need to go scrounge up some breakfast, so I will check in later!

I wonder where BOB is???

Hi everyone! I'm off to the mall today as it's PAYDAY for me at the salon!! My second one. I love payday. So then I'll be off to get some groceries and maybe have my nails done. I used to have fake nails back in my day and loved them, but then when I stopped working to stay at home with the kids, it was costly and unsanitary (with diaper changing...I'll leave it at that), so I let them go away. But now that I'm in the beauty business and making a bit of my own money, I think I'd like to have them again. I also need to buy groceries and I hate shopping at the local store because it's so darn expensive, so, I'll venture into town on my day off and get a few things done.

Junior is one happy camper today. Frolicking around in our frozen backyard. He just loves those squirrels!! And the neighborhood cats and people walking down the street, etc. He's such a busy body.

The cat has been renamed to Tommy the Cat. Yes, she's a girl, but Derek has a thing for having a girl cat and giving her a boy name. His last cat was named Fyl and she was a girl, too. He originally wanted to name her Bob. That turned into Bobby Sox, then she turned into Ruby, then Domino, then Mitzi, now it's Tommy the Cat. She's going to end up being Kitty like the other cat because I can't keep up.

Monet: A good night's sleep is wonderful, isn't it? I swear, sometimes I go to sleep facing my window and I think I wake up in the exact same position in the morning, not having moved all night. I wish we had a Trader Joes here.

Solly: You are my idol with the workouts you do. And, truth be told...if I have to work more for insurance, I wouldn't mind...I love working at Master Cuts. Its the most fun I've had in 25 years of hairdressing! I'm sure the gym will thin out once everyone has ditched their holiday 'fluffies'. And I hope your commute to work today went better than the one you were talking about a couple posts ago. Sounds like the typical start to one of MY days.

Missy: I'm so glad you have such a great doctor. He seems like he really cares. I always argue with my pediatrician regarding flu shots because I don't want my kids to have them. I don't know if you remember last year when she had one and had bronchitis almost immediately after. And to take away the coincidence factor, while we were waiting in the doctor's office, there was another girl waiting that had bronchitis that she had gotten right after having a flu shot. So, count me out. Anyhow...how are you feeling today? Once you get out of that first trimester, you'll feel a whole lot better. In fact, the second trimester is the best...pregnant, but not barfing or unable to breathe (as is the case in the third trimester). Keeping you in my prayers!!

Crystle: Is that the Walk Away the Pounds videos? You'll LOVE them. They are easy to do (as in easy moves) and you really work up a sweat!

Anyhow...I have to go hose down in the shower so I can get out of here and get my shopping done. Talk to you guys later...
