CH4Health wow that plan sounds to restrictive... i dont think i can do that at all... "9 days without meat, caffeine and most complex carbs " OH MY GOSH !! I think that has to be bad for health... You just need to make healthier choices... instead of reaching for that donut... have yogurt... or if you feel you need it have a bite or 2 ... and toss it (or leave it for who ever else grabs it... I know its hard but you have to keep in mind what you are working for... just remember how you will feel... not only thinner but more confident and comfortable in your own skin...

To beable to go shopping and find something you love and for them to have it in your size... It just want makes you feel so good... Doing this for yourself and no one else...

Well I still have a lot more to go... But I know I can do this... just think about that...

well much luv to all... you are not alone we are doin this together..

Just checking in, having a great day for the most part. 3:00pm snack got a little out of hand but I had skipped my 6:00 am breakfast so hopefully they evened out.
CH - pre-hubby I often went meatless so I don't see that being a problem with alternatives, but caffine withdrawal is horrible. I know from experience. I gave up my coffee with my 2nd pregnancy and it was weeks of pain. If your caffine intake is high the withdrawal may affect you. Just something to keep in mind. Other than that do what you have to do and good luck.

Oh man I was so hungry all day today. I planned to eat a lot more tomorrow- on plan of course. Last march for my bday all I wanted was a comfortable bra. I got the perfect one, but its not doing the job anymore. I got measured and I lost 6" around my ribs. This is so weird because I didn't lose any weight.

I 'm so jealous of you guys dieting with your husbands. I'm not married and every guy I've dated is annoyingly thin.

You losers are doing great! I can't believe how fast you're taking it off.

sno thanks for the link.

trob we're probably related, my grandma is from arkansas and she had 10 kids.

Bertine good job on the bike, I bet its beautiful there. Can you go out on the bike in the winter? I was so excited last year I never lived any place that snowed before. Everytime it snowed I would run outside and go for a walk. One day my neighbor saw me this little old man he said "your not from around here are you", I was out walking at -10 degrees.

CH4- you are strong, fat flush I and I didn't make it one day together. I was wondering what you do eat on your plan. From the way you described it I'm picturing poptarts and ice cream. Good luck, I bet it feels good to decide on your plan.

Getn healthy- don't let that gross old work hag get you down. He married YOU!

Default Ch4Health this is very important

Once a week I eat a pint of ice cream and noone makes good coffee ice cream with fudge swirls. B&J used to make To Russia With Buzz but they discontinued it, Starbucks is good but its not sold in pint sizes. Can you suggest they do that? I can't be the only person that only likes that flavor ice cream. There's a big hole in the market. Thanks!

Good morning all, had an okay day yesterday. BLOATED like a dang balloon today because of TOM. I know i havent put on fat, but water is off the chart. I can even feel the puffiness of my face when i look down. I think the problem is that my birthcontrol pills have a diuretic in them AND i have not been drinking any water. So combine me being off my BC pills for TOM AND not drinking water...i look like a puffer fish and the scales, sadly, reflect that. So i bought an over the counter diuretic today. No way i am stepping on the scales friday to be 3 pounds up when i have worked my butt off. So hopefully i can drain some of this water off...i feel gross.

I had one of those days yesterday where you are hungry ALL DAY. Not like a little hungry but just starving, ready to say the heck with it and just eat. So considering how hungry i was and how lazy i felt, i did really well. Didnt go over my cals for the day but i was definately at my max. I exercised a bit more than usual to make up for it.

Hopefully today i can keep myself from being hungry by keeping a mug of hot tea near me most of the day and ice cold water on the other side of me.

Hope you all have a great day.

Hi all:

it has been a weird week so far--had intense TOM and a wide open eating day yesterday. Also have not been exercising. Today is catch up day--I plan to exercise and get back on plan. Glad to hear you all have been doing so well--you are an inspiration.

Well just had my afternoon snack, an orange. I get to leave work early today to go the doctor's office to get my bloodwork results and see how bad my cholestrol is. Hopefully it is not that bad. That doesn't matter because I plan to lower in my new eating and exercise plan. Have a good day everyone!

Good job stacy I was so hungry yesterday too. I am going to try the hot tea idea. Luckily I can eat as many cals I want so I'm eating a lot today.

sno I love the term open eating. I usually have cheat or free day every week but I think open sounds better. Good luck getting back to it.

dolly wishing you low cholesterol on your test results. So many healthy people seem to have high cholesterol these days I wonder if it really matters? I've had the opposite with too low cholesterol but I started eating more fat and less chocolate and it went normal.

Had a so-so day today, went a little over with supper, but was good the rest of the day, so here's hoping.

nawchem - my problem is if my skinny little husband diets he's going to be invisible from the side, so I'm dieting with him eating chips and the chocolate he craves after a nap. I settle for no one right now.

dolly - good luck on your test results.

Getnhealthy and snow - you survived tom and that counts for a lot!!

had a good day overall...not that great at dinner but wed. is our family food fest. my mom lives with my sister and every wed. she cooks a huge meal for the whole gang. it didn't do TOO bad. the rest of the day i stuck to my ww core menu so i feel pretty good. i was still at 203 this morning so no gain but no loss either. i have ww tomorrow afternoon and i doubt that their scale will show a loss. oh well, one day at a time.
later all!

Hi everyone,
I just joined this site and I have been looking for a challenge to get me motivated. I really like what you gals have going on here and I was just wondering if you all would mind if I jumped on board with you? I know you started a few weeks ago, but I figure if I weigh in and start up on Monday the 18th I still have 15 weeks. I would like to lose 25 pounds by the New Year and I haven't been able to get motivated. I feel like I have been on a diet forever and I need something to really push me not just to diet but to get active. I'm 25 and just got married a year ago so we don't have any children yet but I want to get healthy before we start. I also just want to feel good about myself once and for all. Please help me!!

card- I take it back. No envy here. I wouldn't be able to stand that.

trob- they originated in a really small town I can't think of the name but the largest big city was Hope. My grandmothers last name is Underwood. She lived to 104 and everyone called her Aunt Luna.

whirleygirly- I love your name!!!! Hey the more the merrier! Its going to be fun to add up all the pounds we've lost by New Years, its already quite a bit. I hope you learn to feel good about yourself no matter what you weigh. You are a person of value here on earth for a purpose.

Tired and lethargic today. TOM cramping is in full swing. I just took two midol so hopefully that will at least take care of that part. I did manage to get my exercise in yesterday before the cramps started, so i was happy about that. Tommorrow is my weigh in day and i am hopeful although nervous about the water weight. I am so ready for the weekend.

Sno-So sorry to hear your TOM is putting you through so much trouble. It sure can throw a wrench in your stride cant it? Get up, dust yourself off and start anew.

Lach-Good for you for sticking it out even if you didnt feel up to par. I know that is hard, i have fought that several times this week. Isnt it amazing how much better you feel though when you pull through and perservere at the gym/workout.

Whirley- Your 25 pounds goal sounds perfect. I think that is about what i have left for my new years goal as well. Lots of support and motivation here. Of course motivation has to come from within but i think this group does a good job of inspiring me, which in turn helps me motivate myself.

Trob-Wow, good for you for holding fast, a middle of the week food fest would blow my week. I would not do well with that at all. Kudos to your for enduring that every week. We have something like that on sundays. I have really made an effort to even make our family food fest healthy without everyone noticing. Lots of fruit stuff for desert versus cakes, lite dressing instead of fattening ranch on the salads...just the little things...it has been a help.

NAW-I have a cheat day once a week too. It helps me to stay on track...i dont feel deprived what so ever. I can tell myself throughout the week, okay, i can have that on friday...it helps the cravings pass. Although usually by the time cheat day comes, i have forgotten most of the past cravings and moved on to other ones. I love the psychiatry tricks i play on myself.

Dollypie-How did the bloodwork results go? I want to get mine done in Nov and see if anything has changed since i started in July.

Ok ladies, i guess i should actually work for a little while. Hmmm or not. ha ha.
