  • Boo, sorry, I disappeared for a bit! I'm still at 146.2, but I'm thinking that I can really just absolutely bust it and get at least out of the 140's before the month is out. If I don't, I won't beat myself up for it, but it would be nice. I have kept up my water drinking awesomely! 64 oz every single day... it's amazing how much grossness your body is flushing out with all that! My body actually feels *clean* on the inside, which is kind of weird. It's looking like everyone is doing pretty well!

  • Dancer: To be honest, I’m seeing a difference but not a lot of difference on how my clothes fit, but that may be for 2 factors. First, I think that I’m losing weigh evenly; and second, when I started this journey I was using clothes size 16, although I should have been using at least 18. So, I can still use the clothes that I used 26 pounds before now, but I also can use all my 14 jeans and some 12. I’m sure that the next 5 pound will make me notice a difference. I think that being petite and obese make it difficult to see the changes.

  • I just have to add on to my last post... I just weighed myself and I am at 145! I don't know where that 1.2 lbs went or if it is water weight, but it's so exciting to see a new low on the scale. This brings me to halfway to my challenge goal! And now maybe I can lose the other half in the remaining half of the month.

    dancer: your right about that. as long as i'm losing its all good lol!

    so, today is my scheduled rest day. i worked late on purpose (trying to get in some overtime) and came home and played with my daughter and watched t.v. i never get to watch t.v. anymore with work and exercise and my family, so it was nice.

    i really pushed myself yesterday with my jogging. i wanted to pick up the pace a litle and i did. it felt great!

  • Well, I'm down 2 pounds this month. my goal is 6 pounds, so I have to work harder the rest of the month.
    I exercise 5 days a week, lifting, running and spinning. I can get to the Y regularly, but don't eat like I should.

    I'm impressed with everyone's self control on this challenge. Hopefully, I'll be inspired too.

    I challenged myself and lost 40 lbs 2 years ago, then quit excercising, i haven't gained any weight but i am newly determined to get down to 145 lbs, so i'm just now jumping back into walking. my goal is to lose 5 lbs this month.
  • Okay, I know you've heard this before, but I'm back ONCE AGAIN. I just can not get my groove back! Started here July 1st thanks to my DD IDREAM, lost 26 lbs until a fateful potluck on December 21st when it all went to *ell. I do not exercise, I do not record what I eat, I occasionally eat ice cream, so of course I gained back 6 lbs. Could be worse, yes, but I hate that I can not get back into the exercise habit. I hate the way I look, my clothes are tight, so why don't I get my butt in gear? I need some major . It's almost shorts season! I am going on a road trip in July and will see family I haven't seen in 40 pounds! How much more motivation do I need? Help?

  • Yesterday, my weight was 142.5, which I thought was an aberration. But then I weighed myself again today and it said it was a hair under 142. I'm completely in shock. According to the scale, I have lost 4 lbs this week. And last week, I lost 3.

    I stepped up my exercise this week (running, walking, dancing). I started walking home from work a few times a week (3 mile walk) on top of regular exercise. I guess it is working. I have almost made my April goal:

    SW: 149
    CW: 142
    GW: 141

    Lost this month: 7 lbs

    I'm not sure what is going on. I knew that I lose weight quickly, but I didn't expect it to be this fast. I have never lost 7 lbs in less than a month b/c I usually have severe binges, but I haven't had any this month.

    I hope I can keep up my momentum.

  • Ugh, I'm sick. Cough and sore throat, heavy chest, headaches, and now my body just feels run down. No fever, though. Don't think I can or should exercise today. ****, I hope I can get my work done--I need to close my eyes every few minutes. I think a few minutes of sunshine to get my vitamin D is in order for the day.

    I did a second weigh-in after I went back to bed feeling terrible this morning, and I'm at 181.8. I'm very excited to get out of the 180s soon. Let's pray for a little loss of appetite with this illness, eh?

    MsP: I'm so proud of you! You had a bad month last month and really needed this to remind yourself what you're capable of. Yippy skippy chickie!

    LTTG: I have a very large cast iron frypan, if you think you might need us to get out the big hammer to get you back in gear. This month's challenge is great because everyone is really ON! It's very inspiring to check in with a bunch of big losers.

    I weighed in at 155.2 this morning. So close to 154 I cant stand it

    I decided to go shopping today. Dont ask why exactly I needed some food and things from the store today was the day I picked. I had asked my ex to please bring my Summer clothes as I figured they would fit me now. He hasnt bothered Being typical me I decided #$%^*()&%# and take matters in my own hands. It hot and I don't want to wear jeans all summer.

    Fresh fruits and veggies are starting to come into season. I decide to splurge on a few things. I bought 2 upside down growning thingys advertised on tv. I bought a tomato plant and a green pepper plant. Something I love to grow and eat. I will plant them sing to them and enjoy the harvest I bought lots of fresh living foods. Wouldn't think some one on a diet would be afraid to eat. I have been for months now all during the holidays I was fearful of what I put in my mouth. Today I decided its time to eat, enjoy what I eat and cook again. ~~~Bringing home all this wonderful food to put away, I had to go through things in the fridge . found a few unidentifible things. But also found some wonderful finds. I am more than good to go. Even got some dates and nuts to put in my oatmeal.

    Decided to get a couple pair of shorts to see what I needed. Take inventory so I can go to Good Will and get what I need. I grab a pair of 12,s then 14,s . headed to the fitting room. Was going to try on the 14 pair first. Got this determined look on my face and grabbed the 12's first. I thought Im either setting myself up for a big let down or........... The 12's fit like a dream. I hung the 14's on the rack with a look and didn't look back. I don't know what the size difference is from a 12 and a 14. To me it is huge. I got 3 pair of shorts a pair of flip flops and a pair of sun glasses. Major splurge but Im worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    when I started this journey I could barely fit into 1X. it was a tight squeeze let me tell you it was. Now Im size 12. Im the happiest girl in the whole USA (Donna Fargo). have I been perfect NO NO NO. I have had bad days. Terrible days I didn't even want to get out of bed. The thought of facing the day was too much for me. I have had good days. Ive had excellent days. Ive had daze. Through it all with the help of all you wonderful supportive ladies size 12's are mine. Journey is far from over. Good health is around the cornor and better quality of life is knocking at my door. SO COME ON LADIES WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!! TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
