Good morning ladies -
I can't believe it's Monday already.

Friday night, I worked 'till midnight (not easy for this early bird), and on Saturday I woke up every hour from 5 am to 9 am to make sure reports were completing successfully, and that the end users approved them. Even though they give their "final" approval before "go live", sometimes they change their mind.
I took Mischief to the vet on Friday afternoon for another blood test. We get the results back today. Over the weekend, she seemed pretty good though she stil had leg cramps on Friday. And she didn't like the "wintry mix" of precipitation that fell most of the weekend.
On Saturday, we went to the ginormous grocery store that we like so much because of the high quality and low prices. We couldn't find any charged scooter carts at the main entrance, so DH walked to the side entrance and found one. But just as he brought it to me, an old man in a scooter cart was being pushed back to the charging area by a store employee. It was obvious that he needed the last remaining "charged" cart more than I did, so I gave it to him and pushed the shopping cart for support. I did okay for the most part, but was hurtin' for certain by the time we got home. After I got the groceries put away, I relaxed for a couple hours before I made spaghetti for dinner. Yesterday, was spent cooking make and freeze meals for DH, watching "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" with DMIL, running errands and doing a couple loads of laundry.
All the work made the weekend go by way too quickly. I'm still a little stiff today, but not nearly as bad as yesterday, and I'm trying to reduce the amount of time I use my cane. Tonight, I'll go to the gym for a bit of walking in the pool. Hopefully there won't be as many kids there as last time. It's hard to dodge them when even they don't know which way they're going.

Ceejay - I heard about all the bad storms down your way. I hope you're okay. So sorry to hear about your friend's car accident. I hope her injuries heal soon. As for doing 10 minutes of stairs per day - that sounds like an excellent goal if you're in shape. As for me, unless I broke that up into one or two flights at a time, I'd have a really hard time with this due to my asthma. But it's a great goal to work up to.

on paying off your washer and dryer and on all that cleaning!
Happy - I love, love, love your new house! I love the deck, gazebo, windows, all the natural light, and the Happy cave! I also really like the kitchen. It doesn't look small to me, and I really like all the counter space and the island! It looks like a lovely spot for our commune. I'm glad I've been pre-approved by your DH. In the meantime, I've decided that does it!! I'm getting my back better and decluttering my house to reclaim all the areas I fell in love with when we bought it that have since been overrun with clutter. I'm glad to hear your vertigo is getting better.
Laura - Bummer that you don't get Good Friday off. DH and I don't have plans to go to church either, but it's nice to have a day or even half-day off. Did you get any snow this weekend? I couldn't believe it when I saw it falling. The Tighter Assets class really sounds challenging. I don't mind squats, but I hate lunges. I hope you had a great time with your HS friends. I'm glad I got you hooked on baby carrots and hummus. My PT told me not to overdo on the hummus, but I only eat 1 or 2 Tbsp at a time, so it's not too bad. I'm so sorry to hear about the book club woman's son. I hope he gets better soon. DH has a upper respiratory virus (sinus and throat mostly), and he went to my company's Wellness Center and the doc told him that he has the same virus that's been going around my company. Not much can be done except to ride it out. Looks like I have to stay away from my co-workers and my DH so I don't catch it.
Annie - I'm so glad you enjoyed the movie with DD. And had a good visit with Dad. You went to Menards for your date?! Did you have fun at least? You and my DH would get along great! Menards is his favorite store! I feel the same way about material stuff as you do. If someone, heaven forbid, ever breaks in...as long as he doesn't hurt me or my family (including our 4 legged kids), they can take whatever they want.
Mel - I hope both Jen and Richie are doing better. How did you like the Harry Potter movie? I thought it was really good...and be warned, there's quite the cliffhanger at the end. I can't wait 'till July when Part 2 comes out in the theaters. Good for you for getting an early start on the day/week.
Shad - Scary news about the earthquake. Hasn't Australia had enough of Mother Nature's wrath lately? Sheesh! We'll be heading to nurseries for plants within the next few weeks...after we're sure that the frost (and snow) are over and done with until October at least. The drive up to Tamborine Mountain sounds nice. Glad you were able to spend time with your friends. Good of you to help DB2 with his computer problems...though it's frustrating about the NO HELP desk. I'm glad DS2 is still able to go to Thailand. That's a lot of scary illnesses at your work (and at home with DS2's hep A and B injections). Take good care of yourself, ok?
Ellen - Good luck with the calorie counting. I'm finding that it's helping me. Sounds like you have some good productive plans for while your DH is out of town.
Well, I'd best get back to the day's work.
Lots of love and hugs to all,
